"You little , come here."

    Hyejeong looked to see a tall man standing drunkenly in front of Seolhyun. Her eyes widened and she grabbed Sseolhyun's wrist and

pulled the younger girl behind her. "Who are you? What do you want?" she said, boldly.

     "Who the hell are you? off ," the man growled, his words slurring.

     Hyejeong could feel Seolhyun tremble behind her and she knew that she had to protect the younger no matter what. She knew who

this man was, seeing Seolhyun's reaction, and her mind raced , trying to figure out what to do.

     "Give me that little , she's mine," the man said, stumbling forward. Hyejeong felt her fight or flight instincts kick in, and she

tightened her grip on Seolhyun.

     "Run!" she yelled, spinning around and dragging Seolhyun after her. Hyejeong ran as fast as she could with Seolhyun trailing behind

her.

     "You ! Get back here!" she heard the man yell behind her. Suddenly, she felt a jerk, and Seolhyun's wrist left her hand. She

turned around.

     "Seolhyun, what are you doing?" Hyejeong said, frantically. But Seolhyun only stood there, her eyes cast down, and a tear dripped

from her eye, landing on the sidewalk.

     "Unnie. I don't want to get you hurt. So, I'm just going to go back. If you got hurt because of me...I wouldn't be able to live with myself,"

Seolhyun said, her voice breaking.

     "What the hell Seolhyun! If you got hurt in front of me and I didn't do anything, how do you think I would feel?!" Hyejeong yelled. She

saw the man get closer and closer and she frantically tried to persuade her. "Please Seolhyun, please don't leave me like this. Please

even if it's not for you. Do it for me. Please," Hyejeong begged, tears starting to form in her eyes. But Seolhyun only stepped forward and

lifted the older's face and kissed her.

     "I love you unnie. Always. Thank you for everything," she whispered, then, she walked away to the tall man. Hyejeong was frozen, her

entire body was going numb. The man grabbed Seolhyun by the back of her sweater and dragged her all the way to the house and then

dissapeared through the door. Tears started to flow freely down her face. How had this happened? They had just had the best day of

their lives a few minutes ago. What the hell was this? What kind of ed up fate was this? Couldn't they just be happy? Hadn't they

suffered enough? A sob made its' way out of and she sank down to her knees, broken and bruised. It hurt so much. Even more

than when her mother had passed away. She tried to collect herself and stumbled up. She could call the police. She could. But, she

remembered what Seolhyun had said that day. How she still loved her father. And with a strangled cry, she ran at full speed and

smashed her fist into the side of her apartment building, pain shot through her but it felt numb, it felt like nothing compared to what her

heart was going through. She punched the wall over and over again. Her hand was bruised and bleeding by now, but she ignored it,

gritting her teeth as tears streamed down her face. After a while of doing that, she stumbled into her apartment room and crawled into her

bed, curling into a ball, sobbing.

     "Seolhyun-ah, Seolhyun-ah, come back, please come back," she whimpered. And she fell asleep, tears streaming down her cheeks.
