The Day I Met My Father
The Day I Met You
"It's been awhile Hyejeong."
Hyejeong froze and then turned towards the source of the voice slowly to see her father. Seolhyun stared also. "Hyejeong, you've
grown so much. I missed you alot." As he kept speaking, Hyejeong's face grew darker and darker, anger obvious in her eyes. "I have a
home in Gangnam now, and you have a new mother and a brother! Isn't that-"
"You, you, how dare you show up in front of my house?" Hyejeong snarled, barely containing her mixed emotions. "It's been awhile?
Hah, yeah, its only been like what, six years? Hell ing yeah its been-" Hyejeong cut off, her voice threatening to break on her. She
turned away quickly, as she felt a tear making its way out of her eye. She trembled slightly, and without turning back, she growled, "Never
come back again, I don't want to see you ever again." Then she ran. Tears now made their way freely down her face. She didn't know
where she was running to, she just wanted to get away from that man, the man who had abandoned her, the one who had given her so
many scars. She stopped running as she realized that she had gotten to a park near her house. She walked over to a bench and sat
down. Tears were still flowing down her face and she buried her face into the palms of her hands. She bit her lip to keep back her sobs,
clenching her jaws.
"Hyejeong unnie," Seolhyun's voice said softly in front of her.
"I'm sorry Seolhyun, just go away for a little bit. I don't-I don't want you to see me like this," Hyejeong mumbled, trying to keep her
voice as calm as possible. Suddenly, she felt two warm hands cup her face, and lift her face up. Hyejeong just allowed it, too worn out to
fight the younger girl.
"Unnie. Why are you keeping your pain to yourself? Don't you trust me?"
Hyejeong froze, tears stopping in her moment of panic. She couldn't tell Seolhyun right now, she couldn't risk another person she
loved walking out of her life. But, she didn't want to lie to someone she loved. And even if Seolhyun did walk out of her life, at least
Hyejeong had been honest to her. "Seolhyun, I-I have a...a phobia, and I-I can't trust people. It's not you. I swear. If I were normal I could
trust you in a heart beat, but please. Please don't leave me. I'll do my best to learn to trust you. I'll-."
Hyejeong was cut off as she felt a pair of soft lips press against hers, moving against her passionately. Then, Seolhyun broke off and
looked deep into her eyes. "Unnie, are you stupid? Why, no, how could I ever leave you? Unnie. I love you, okay? And love is a really
powerful thing. If you have a problem then I'll help you fix it. If you need someone, I'll be there for you. I will never abandon you. No
matter what. Okay? So don't say stupid things like that unnie." Seolhyun reached up and wiped off the older girl's tears with her thumb
and smiled at her warmly.
Hyejeong leaned down and captured Seolhyun's lips, this time going for a deeper, more passionate kiss. She bit Seolhyun's bottom lip
lightly, and then it, sending a shudder through the younger girl. Seolhyun, in her kneeling position, craned her neck up and held
Hyejeong's face between her hands. Hyejeong managed to slide her tongue into Seolhyun's mouth and she explored greedily, causing
the younger to moan. Then, Hyejeong pulled away, her face red from both lust and embarassment as some people who had noticed
them were staring at them, shaking their heads. "So did my-that man, leave?" Hyejeong asked, avoiding eye contact and clearing her
throat.
"Yes, but he seemed really upset," Seolhyun said, equally embarassed.
"Like I care. That guy only thinks about himself. Come on, if he's gone then let's go," Hyejeong said, grabbing Seolhyun's hand and
standing up, helping her up also. The two walked home together, hand in hand, ignoring people's stares. When they got inside, Hyejeong
collapsed onto the couch, letting out a loud sigh. Seolhyun gently lifted the other's head and then sat down beside her, placing
Hyejeong's head onto her lap. Hyejeong couldn't stop herself from smiling sweetly up at the younger girl, and Seolyun also smiled warmly
back. Hyejeong got an idea and turned suddenly so that her face was buried into Seolhyun's stomach.
"What the heck unnie!" Hyejeong only giggled and wrapped her arms around her victim's waist, breathing in the younger girl's sweet
scent. Seolhyun's tense posture relaxed, and she leaned back against the couch again and Hyejeong loosened her hold and turned her
head slightly to look up at the younger girl. She knew that it was right to tell her, out of all people, if she was hurting and when she
needed someone to lean on. She had been trying so hard, but her fears kept popping up. She knew that if she didn't start trusting her, no
matter what, it would start to effect their relationship. She also wanted to be able to be open about her feelings instead of bottling it up like
she always did, but it was so hard. Suddenly, she felt something build up inside of her and burst.
"Seolhyun-ah. It hurts."
