     "Seolhyun-ah. It hurts."

Seolhyun, startled, looked down to see Hyejeong grimacing. "Wh-what?"

"My arm, you're squishing my arm," Hyejeong said, trying vainly to wiggle her numb limb. Seolhyun had been leaning against it,

forgetting about it when Hyejeong had put her arms around her.

"Oh! Oh, sorry unnie," Seolhyun said, laughing as she leaned forward to release the older's arm.

"Owwww," Hyejeong moaned, clutching her arm as she rolled off of the couch with a thump. She just lay there at the foot of the couch,

knowing what was about to come. The needles. The static feeling you get whenever any part of your body goes to sleep.

"Unnie, are you okay?" Seolhyun said, peering down at the brunette sprawled on the floor.

"Wait, don't talk," Hyejeong said, anticipating the unbearable tingling sensation. Then it came. She lay stock still on the floor as the

sensation traveled up her arm and down it. Seolhyun was enjoying the scene below her as she saw Hyejeong's whole body tense, and

then after a few seconds, relax with a sight of relief.

"Wow unnie, wasn't that a little overboard?" Seolhyun said, giving her a humorous smile.

"Nooo I really don't like that feeling," Hyejeong pouted, now in a sitting position. Seolhyun couldn't restrain herself and she leaned

forward to kiss the pouting girl's lips. She could feel Hyejeong's lips curve into a smile against her, and she smiled too, breaking the

kiss to look into Hyejeong's eyes. "Nevermind, I think I should get all of my limbs numb now. I mean, if the outcome is always as good as

this," Hyejeong said, teasingly. Seolhyun giggled and pushed Hyejeong, and Hyejeong just allowed herself to be pushed and sprawled

back onto the ground, looking at the ceiling. "You know, I don't know how I ever lived without you," Hyejeong said, smiling contently,

closing her eyes.

The Next Day

"Hey Seolhyun, why don't we ditch school and go to the amusement park?" Hyejeong asked, a glint of mischief in her eyes.

     "Ditch-ditch school?"

"Yeah, I wanna go on a date with you," Hyejeong said, giving the younger puppy dog eyes.

"I don't know unnie...isn't that truancy?" Seolhyun said, hesitance in her eyes.

"Yeah...but come on. Don't you want to go on a date with me? Please Seolhyun-ah?" Hyejeong pleaded, fluttering her lashes. A smile

crept onto Seolhyuun's lips.

"Alright unnie, but just this once. Okay?" she said, smiling fully now.

"Yay!" Hyejeong exclaimed excitedly, jumping up and hugging Seolhyun, giving the younger a kiss on the cheek and making her

giggle.

"Unnie you're like a little kid," Seolhyun said, laughing.

"Whatever, go get ready," Hyejeong said, popping up from her seat on the couch and running into her room. An hour later, they were

at the amusement park. "What do you want to do first? I wanna ride the roller coasters!" Hyejeong said, smiling excitedly at the younger

girl. Seolhyun couldn't help but giggle at this rare side of Hyejeong.

"Okay unnie, whatever you want," Seolhyun said, smiling.

"Hey, if we're here, we should buy headbands right?" Hyejeong said, pulling Seolhyn over to the gift shop. Hyejeong grabbed a

head band with bear ears and put it on Seolhyun. "Oh my gosh! You're adorable!" Hyejeong said, pinching the younger's cheeks.

      "Unnie~," Seolhun whined, pouting.

"Stop it Seolhyun! That makes you more adorable!" Hyejeong squealed. After their purchases, Hyejeong pulled Seolhyun over to the

biggest roller coaster in the park. When they got on, Seolhyun grabbed onto Hyejeong's hand, not out of fear because she liked roller

coasters, but for the dating experience. "Smile!" Hyejeong yelled, seeing the camera getting closer and closer. After the ride was done,

they looked at their pictures which had come out, "Perfect," Hyejeong said. Just when the camera had taken a picture, Hyejeong had

kissed the younger's cheek while she was smiling obliviously.

The rest of the day was spent riding roller coasters and exploring the large amusement park. As night neared, Hyejeong pulled

Seolhyun over to a pastry shop in the park. "One chocolate cake please," Hyejeong said.

"Cake? Why cake?" Seolhyun asked, looking up at Hyejeong curiously.

"Oh just because," Hyejeong answered vaguely. The two enjoyed the delicious cake and they walked out of the shop, the sky

completely dark now. "Hey, let's go ride the ferris wheel," Hyejeong said, smiling. The amusement park was famous for its large ferris

wheel. Hyejeong payed for the ride and the two got on, holding hands. Hyejeong sat on one side while Seolhyun sat on the other, and the

ferris wheel began to ascend.

"This is my first time riding this," Seolhyun said, looking around at the large carriage in awe.

"Then you're going to love the view," Hyejeong said, smiling. Hyejeong watched Seolhyun's face as their carriage got higher and

higher. The look on Seolhyun's face face was priceless, and beautiful. "You know, me and my parents always came here on my birthday,

it was like tradition. But, I'm really glad I'm doing it with you," Hyejeong said. Seolhyun broke her gaze from the amazing view to look at

Hyejeong with an incredulous look.

"It-it's your birthday?" Seolhyun stammered. She berated herself for not realizing it earlier. The date, the cake, she felt really stupid

now. "I'm so sorry unnie. I had no idea," Seolhyun apologized profusely, a sad look in her eyes.

"No, thank you, Seolhyun, for staying by my side. This day, I'll remember it forever," Hyejeong said, smiling warmly at Seolhyun. "It

was really hard for me the past few years, but you were like the new sun to my dark world. You brightened my life, and I can't thank you

enough for that. I'm just sorry I never got to do anything for you," Hyejeong said, looking down.

"What are you talking about, unnie? I was in a living hell before you came around. You pulled me out of it, and honestly all of this feels

like one really, really, great dream. Now I'm just scared that I'll wake up. You did so much for me. You gave me the care and protection

that no one gave for all those years. So never say you didn't do anything for me," Seolhyun finished, her eyes passionate.

"I love you Seolhyun, I really love you. You know that, right?"

"I know unnie. And I love you too. More than anything in this world," Seolhyun said, looking deep into Hyejeong's eyes.

"Good," Hyejeong said, before kissing Seolhyun.

The two took a cab home, holding hands. When they arrived, Hyejeong payed the driver generously, and turned back to Seolhyun, to

see her standing stock still, eyes wide.

     "You little , come here."
