“did you just kiss me ?” woo bin asked, his words got so eun back again, so eun was closing her eyes hard fearing that she has already fell, she opened her eyes and peeked to see woo bin so near to her, his face was not even a centimeter away from her, and her lips on his cheek, shocked herself she immediately pushed her away from him, she sat and moved so that there was distance between them and apologized to him
“sorry woo bin sshi, I tripped”  woo bin saw as a red so eun apologized him, ‘tripped huh’ he thought as she didn’t even lift her head and was continuously looking down, though he was a little shocked earlier, the view of now so eun made him want to , smirking he asked.
“is this your first kiss then ?” and hearing that so eun’s mouth opened wide and her eyes popped out as they might fall out any second if she continues to stare like that, laughing again, woo bin snapped his fingers to bring her back to reality and stood up, so eun came back and closed still unable to look directly at woo bin
“we need to go so eun ah, or else people will wonder if we are dead” woo bin said as he saw that she was still not out of the situation, so he better thought he can joke a little and try to change the topic. So eun composed herself and waited till her blush fades away, never she expected this to happen and woo bin taking this so lightly, she scolded herself mentally and stood up,
“I’m ready woo bin sshi” she stood up again and tried to balance herself in the heels again as she cursed them in her mind
“here hold my hand” woo bin extended his hand to her seeing her tremble a little again in her heels, so eun hold his hand and whispered him a thank you and they both walked out of the room. Everyone in the party gasped at the couple who just entered, the handsome and dashing woo bin and elegant so eun who matched one another perfectly, everyone said and they both received compliments which brought some unpleasantness to two people though, it seemed like they both were caught in their act of pretending to be a couple that it didn’t seem as if they were in a pretend, it seemed natural; shin hye and hyun joon who were eyeing so eun and woo bin who are looking happy and comfortable as they greeted every guest. There is this unusual feeling shin hye and hyun joon were getting that things are going to slip away, things or rather people, making shin hye not want to go and hyun joon to pull her aside and ask her out instantly. This didn’t go unnoticed by woo hyun either, his suspicions rose and he took a look at shin hye who also was watching woo bin and so eun with not so pleasant expression on her face, ‘wonder what will happen when the year comes to an end’ he thought.

woo bin and so eun greeted everyone, and that everyone includes even shin hye and hyun joon too, but that greetings were just formal and nothing deep since the party involved some media friends of woo bin and this news should never go out making woo bin and so eun to stick together, while there were three people waiting for the party to come to an end, shin hye to break the news of her new project to woo bin, hyun joon to ask so eun out and, Uee who is waiting to ask hyun joon out. The dinner has come to an end after a while and most of the guests have already left. It was time for Mr. & Mrs. Kim to leave too,
“great party kids” he praised both woo bin and so eun for which they thanked him, also Mrs.Kim talked to so eun and woo bin and gave them some instructions about handling the house, so eun listened to them and nodded politely for everything Mrs.Kim has to say,
“so eun ah, you have to come and cook me breakfast once in a while” Mr.kim said to so eun
“sure aboeji, I will” so eun said as she smiled brightly at him, this is one thing that makes her feel close to her father and she very much liked the fact that her father in law was so loving towards her.  Telling the kids to take care of themselves and one another, MR and Mrs kim left. The next to leave was woo hyun with his family and there were practically only 5 people remaining except the maids who were now finishing their work. So eun, Woo bin, shin hye, hyun joon and Uee.
“oppa, I need to talk to you” shin hye said almost immediately as everyone’s left.
“okay, come” woo bin said as he recognized the tone of seriousness in her before turning towards hyun joon and Uee and spoke
“thanks for coming guys, I hope you enjoyed the night” both of them nodded with a smile and woo bin left there.
“come lets go inside” so eun said to them as she invited them inside,
“sure let’s go” hyun joon said, so eun nodded and turned to walk into the house,  he slipped his hand inside his pocket and touched the little jewelry box lying inside, ‘I am going to do it now’ he thought
he was about to take step further when a hand stopped him, Uee. Uee stopped him as she grabbed his hand,
“oppa I have something to tell you” she said
“just some time Uee ah, I will be back in a while” he said
“it’s important oppa, please” she asked him again, she feared if she lose this opportunity now she may never be able to confess to him again, so eun who walked a little further turned back to see Uee and hyun joon stop and Uee holding his hand ‘Uee is confessing, I better leave them alone then’ she smiled at the little distant figures and disappeared inside. The look on her face and her saying that it is important made hyun joon stop wondering what it may be, he took his hand out of his pocket and turned to face Uee and said
“tell me”

“oppa, I am leaving for three months” shin hye finally said, she doesn’t want to leave at all, not after the closeness she saw today between woo bin and so eun, but she also doesn’t  doubt him and neither so eun, and other side there was this contract an important one,she has to do it no matter what.
“what ?” woo bin asked
“there is this important contract oppa, it will help my career so much , but I have to leave seoul for three months” shin hye explained things to him as she worried how will he take them, woo bin was silent for a while but then asked
“when should you leave ?”if it is important to her he can’t stop her, woo bin thought
“tomorrow evening”
“what tomorrow ? why didn’t you tell me till today then?” he definitely got angry, even if she has to leave , telling beforehand and at least having proper good bye’s must be done, shin hye didn’t give him such chance
“I, came to tell you, but postponed since you were arranging a party and I can’t miss anything important to you” she waited for me, though hegot angry that she didn’t tell such important thing before hand to him, those words of her doing for him made him silent.


“oppa, close your eyes”  Uee asked
“Uee ah, if it is not important please don’t do this now” hyun joon asked as he was growing impatient that he might lose time staying here and unable to ask so eun out
“no no oppa, this is very much important, please”
“arasso, tell” sighing hyun joon closed his eyes and waited for Uee to speak, she turned her back towards him, even though she knew he isn’t looking at her, Uee was still nervous,
“oppa I like you”
“what ?” hyun joon thought he heard it wrong, I definitely heard it wrong, Uee can’t be liking me, he told himself. But he also knew always that there is a possibility for Uee liking him, the way she behaved around him recently gave him that feeling but he was too busy thinking and planning on how to ask so eun out and waiting for an appropriate time for that, he didn’t care much, he was still observing her back confused, while Uee turned around worry on her face, but this is a now or never situation for her so she went for it
“I like you oppa, I really like you so much and I have been for years” but,
“I don’t like you that way Uee ah” his voice sounded cold to her
“but, but” she was searching for words, she didn’t expect him to accept her feelings in just a go because feelings won’t appear and disappear on one’s wish Uee knew that, but an open rejection that too so fast she didn’t expect that,  may be oppa was lying, Uee thought and asked again
“oppa why ?”
“what do you mean why Uee ah ?” hyun joon asked, he acted as cold as possible in saying those words that he didn’t like her expecting she won’t persist further, he didn’t want the friendship they have to end too, because he himself has a very few friends and she is one of them, he didn’t want to hurt what they have too, he was lost in thought when Uee asked him again
“oppa, please tell me why”
“you were always so eun’s little sister to me Uee ah” hyun joon said her his voice back to normal because he knew how persistent the girl ahead of him is and she needs things to be explained calmly
“but”she has no words like that, not even once oppa looked at me like a girl Uee was disappointed as she thought but again a hope she saw and immediately spit it out
“if you didn’t see me like that till now, you can try from now oppa” hyun joon shook his head as he head and said
“ I can’t Uee ah” he tried to convince her but Uee didn’t think so, she asked, demanded may be right word
“why oppa ? why can’t you ? it’s not like you are dating anyone else” he likes someone but revealing that person might only hurt her more, how can I say that to her, it left him more confused than ever.
“you are lying oppa, there is no one who you are dating” she stated angry , “it is a definite lie” Uee said as she thought what hyun joon was saying is a lie just to get rid of her
“I really like someone” he stated, he was losing his patience, how can she not understand, he was trying hard not to hurt her but she was not helping him at all,
“then tell me who”
“I can’t tell you who” because it will be painful Uee ah hyun joon said in his head and shook his head
“then it is a definite lie” Uee didn’t want to believe because she never saw him with any other girls other than her and her sister so eun,  so it can’t be anyone else, it is definitely a lie she told herself more surely now
“believe it or not, it is true”
“I don’t believe it oppa, you were never together with other girls than me or unni, how can I believe then” should I just tell her who it is ?  hyun joon couldn’t decide
“tell me oppa” Uee demanded an answer again, she has to know it anyways in the future so he better say her who, hyun joon came to a decision and spoke
“I like so eun”
“what ? ” she was shocked, “but unni is married to woo bin oppa, how can you lie like that oppa ? how much will you lie to me ?” Uee stated angrily, what if the words hyun joon said were heard by someone and they bring difficulties in her sisters marriage, she can’t be the reason who destroys her sisters life and she can’t let hyun joon destroy so eun’s life too
“don’t be absurd oppa, and don’t bring unni into this” she was pretty angry, how can he lie like that
“it is true Uee ah, I like so eun” she was persistent but everything happening now must end now so hyun joon added “in fact I was going to ask her out today, see this” he pulled out the box from his pocket and showing that to her he said “this, I got for her” what ? how can oppa say that ? unni, what will happen now? And how can oppa say like this ? unni is married to woo bin oppa, so why ? this can’t be happening,
“she is married oppa, why are you doing this ?”
“she is in a contract marriage and it will come to an end soon” he stated angry and frustrated
“how dare you say that oppa, she is happily married to woo bin oppa” she said pushing him back, this lie is going beyond limits. Hyun joon stumbled upon the sudden push but gained his balance and replied her with an equal tone of frustration
“it is a contract marriage Uee ah, woo bin and so eun both entered this just by the request of their parents, nothing more”
“it can’t be” what hyun joon said and the way he said it means it was not a lie, but her sister can’t hide something like that from her for so long, Uee closed her eyes trying to process what she heard and turned sideward’s to see so eun and woo bin standing there with shock, Uee ran towards so eun, and asked
“unni, see hyun joon oppa is saying you are in a contract marriage, please tell him that it is not true” so eun couldn’t let a word out, how can she say it is true now ?
“say it unni, say it’s a lie”
“it is the truth Uee ah, we are in a contract marriage” so eun said feeling bad and guilty she hid that from Uee but she was in apposition she can’t reveal it too
“unni, you lied to me, you hid it from me” Uee said with tears, this didn’t only mean hyun joon rejected her but her sister shared something that important not with her but to hyun joon, how can everyone do this to her,
“Uee ah” so eun tried to approach Uee but Uee pulled her hand back and crying she ran away, leaving so eun with tears too, she was about to run behind Uee but woo bin stopped her
“I’ll go” woo bin said and followed uee
