   Kyuhyun was holding his hand, guiding them back to the restaurant and Ryeowook couldn’t help but feel like he must be luckiest guy on earth. Kyuhyun was handsome, y, cool, and fun, he could have anyone he wanted, but he had said I love you to him. Kyuhyun’s confession was so beautiful and Ryeowook couldn’t help but feel sad that his first I love you was by pure slip of the mouth. He had meant every word, but it hadn’t come out in the way he had anticipated. He stopped walking, which meant that Kyuhyun stopped walking too.

   “What’s wrong love?” Kyuhyun asked softly.

   “….”

   Ryeowook lifted his head and saw that Kyuhyun was now standing in front of him with a worried expression.

   “Are you feeling unwell?”

  Ryeowook sighed, he didn’t even know how to proceed from this point, one part of him felt like the happiest person on earth and the other part of him just wanted to hide in a hole and cry that his first confession to Kyuhyun happened in a meltdown.

  “Im alright…Im just disappointed in myself…” he whispered.

  “disappointed? Why?” Kyuhyun asked, worry still laced in his voice.

KPOV

     Kyuhyun was confused at this point, they had both said “I love you” to one another, so he thought at this point they should be cuddling and kissing in Joie, but the fact that Ryeowook looked so distraught after all of this was starting to wear on his nerves now. But before he could ask again, Ryeowook started sniffling -the second dam was about to be released…

    “I..Im so… sorry.., m..my first confession to you came through a meltdown and when you said I love you it was so beau.t *hic* iful and.. *sniff* ..and …I …and…then the chicken.. and im so sorry. And now Im a mess again. *hic* Im so pathetic, and you’re so..*sniff* good.., and so hot…and *hic* your kisses…so hot…and Im so pathetic...and I..I wouldn’t be surprised if you got tired of me…”

   Kyuhyun gently placed a kiss on Ryeowook’s forehead to stop him from continuing, as cute as he thought Ryeowook was when he mumbled, he really couldn’t bear to hear the other go on. He didn’t understand how his lover could think so little of himself; if anyone should feel inferior in this relationship, it was definitely Kyuhyun. Ryeowook was beautiful, smart, creative, y, and incredibly cute, how could he possibly feel pathetic or think he would get tired of him?

    He carefully kissed away the tears before they could stain Ryeowook’s face and carefully traced the features of this vulnerable yet adorable petite man:

    “You don’t know how precious you are do you? I couldn’t have asked for a better confession. Where you see clumsiness, I see adorableness, where you see messes, I only see opportunities to kiss away your tears. But most importantly your confession was real and honest and it gave me the courage to confess to you too. So thank you for giving me that courage. And I told you this before, but I have no intention of letting you go, so how you could think I would get tired of you absolutely baffles me.”

    And just like that Ryeowook’s worries that were slowly gnawing at him, were slowly eaten by the warmth of Kyuhyun’s words.

   Ryeowook closed his eyes, as he felt the long fingers caress his cheeks and took a deep breath,

  “How do you always know the right things to say?”

  “Love, Im a lawyer, it’s what I do.” Kyuhyun said in a teasing manner, but there was relief evident in his voice.

    And that’s when it clicked in Ryeowook’s head. He needed to put trust in Kyuhyun’s words because it was clear that Kyuhyun was going to put everything into this relationship and he needed to do the same. And for the first time that night, Ryeowook had no doubts, no anxiety about the future, and all of the confidence to move forward because he knew Kyuhyun would be right there next to him. And if Ryeowook ever looked back or got cold feet, or doubted himself, he knew Kyuhyun would be there to pause with him and patiently guide him back to their path. Now he wanted to attempt to give a small fraction of that assurance back to Kyuhyun.

   “Kyuhyun”

   “Hmm?”

   “Thank you. You have no clue how much I needed to hear that.”

   “That Im a lawyer and it’s what I do?” Kyuhyun teased.

 Ryeowook playfully smacked his chest.

    “No, I mean thank you for reassuring me, thank you for pulling me forward when Im still stuck on something small. Thank you for being patient with me. I can’t lie and say that I won’t break down again, but I trust in us and I trust in you to help me pick up the pieces, so Im going to do my best not to dwell on the little things and look at the bigger picture and the bigger picture is our future happiness together right? I love you Kyuhyun.”

   And with that, Ryeowook smiled and entwined his hand with Kyuhyun’s bigger hand and dragged them off again to the restaurant where they could cuddle and kiss before the rest of their guests showed up.

KPOV

    Kyuhyun just let himself be pulled by the slender hand, deep in thought from Ryeowook’s words.

   Once he found himself back into the warm space of Joie, he noticed that Ryeowook was now staring at him with concern.

   “Kyu are you okay?”

   Kyuhyun smiled, one that seemed to only escape when he was with Ryeowook,

   “I’ve never felt better. But just to be clear…you realize you said: our future right?”

Ryeowook smiled at him again and Kyuhyun had to push down his desire to kiss him senseless right there.

   “Well, despite having 2 emotional breakdowns today and despite the fact that I have a tendency to stress over the details, I am a hundred percent certain that I love you. And..I know we haven’t really discussed the future that much…but I know I want to be with you..so… to make long matters short…yes our future. ” Ryeowook’s cheeks were now flushed with that tantalizing pink color and at that point all self control went down the toilet and Kyuhyun had to kiss him.

     Ryeowook was too preoccupied with trying to will away the blush that was slowly spreading across his face, so he didn’t notice that Kyuhyun had cupped his cheeks and had leaned down to kiss him. There wasn’t much time to think about pink cheeks anymore because Kyuhyun was already nibbling on his lower lip, seeking entrance and Ryeowook was happy to oblige. Ryeowook could feel Kyuhyun’s fingers leaving his face and working down to his waist, bringing the two of them closer. And with each kiss and each touch, Ryeowook seemed to lose his train of thought and his mind seemed to drift into vacation mode, thankfully his body was still with him and instinctively his hands moved to Kyuhyun’s neck to pull him down closer. When they finally needed to part for air, Kyuhyun’s fingers brushed some of the stray bangs that were covering Ryeowook’s eyes and gave him a quick peck on the forehead.

    “Do you have any idea how addicting you are?”

    Ryeowook snorted, “It’s almost scary how good you are at sweet talking”

    “Only to you” Kyuhyun murmured in his ear.

KPOV

    He couldn’t help but smirk in amusement when he saw the blush crawl up Ryeowook’s cheeks again. He loved teasing Ryeowook; his reactions were just too precious.

   Ryeowook groaned, “Aish!! I wish you would let my cheeks rest! They’re going to be pink for the rest of my life if you keep this up!!”    

   “Im very much okay with that”

   Kyuhyun laughed as he felt Ryeowook hide his face on his chest, clutching the back of Kyuhyun’s shirt as his embarrassment increased.  

  Kyuhyun just rubbed Ryeowook’s back soothingly before something popped up in his brain:

   “By the way love, can I make a reservation here for next week”

   Ryeowook peeked his face up at him, curiosity written all over his face.

   “Of course you can, how many people, what day, what time and what’s the occasion?”

   “For two, next Friday at 6:00pm?”

  Ryeowook looked thoughtful for a minute,

  “I think I can arrange that…but you still haven’t told me what the occasion is and who this reservation is for”

  “Oh Right! Well you know the guy I was texting you about…”

  “Ah! The guy who interrogated you on why you were so “happy and giggly” this week?” Ryeowook chirped.

   Kyuhyun chuckled at his lover’s memory, “Yes, that guy, his name is Kangin and he has been trying to book a date at Joie for a while now for him and his longtime boyfriend Leeteuk. I guess he’s tried multiple times but hasn’t been successful…anyway I know their anniversary is coming up, so this would be a great date for them.”

   “Awww Kyu!!! That’s so sweet of you!! Of course, I can set this up! Ill prepare a special dessert for them and everything!! It will be so romantic!! Wait, let me get the ipad right now and input the reservation.”

  Kyuhyun smiled, Ryeowook was literally the cutest person in the world, he was so excited for a couple he had never even met and so willing to make this a memorable night for them. How someone as sweet as Ryeowook ended up with the usually cold Kyuhyun, was a mystery to him. Perhaps he was a saint in his past life and that’s why he was matched with Ryeowook now…whatever the reason, he wasn’t going to let go.

   “Are you sure it’s okay? I can’t imagine Joie not being packed on a Friday evening…”

   Ryeowook looked up from the ipad and immediately smiled at Kyuhyun, “Ill tell you a secret, Joie never gets overbooked, the owner purposely keeps a handful of tables available so that in case any friends or family of mine are in the area they have a place to sit. So don’t worry, Ill just sit them at one of those tables and the waiters will know that they’re friends of mine and they’ll get impeccable service.”

   Kyuhyun nodded his head. He was amazed to say the least. Whoever owned Joie certainly went to great lengths to keep Ryeowook happy, not that he was complaining, a happy Ryeowook was a happy Kyuhyun. And no one deserved more happiness than Ryeowook did, at least in Kyuhyun’s opinion. Plus he had his suspicions that there were probably a lot of job offers at Ryeowook’s feet. Any restaurant would pay big bucks to have a chef who could bring in a Michelin star, so it made sense that Joie’s owner would do whatever it took to keep Ryeowook at Joie.

   “By the way, how often does the owner come here?”

   “Let’s see…Siwon comes here about once a month, he’s super busy with different businesses, so Im often put in charge of Joie. Not to mention his boyfriend is extremely…what’s the word..demanding…so he doesn’t get to Joie too much, why do you ask?”  

   Kyuhyun was shocked. “Siwon, as in Choi Siwon, the business mogul?”

   Now Ryeowook looked really confused, “Yes…is it that weird that he owns Joie?”

   “Kind of…I didn’t know he had any interest in the restaurant world…but it makes sense that he would get there eventually…but seriously of all the places… I suppose…”

   “Kyuhyun you’re going to have to do some explaining here…you’re rambling”

   “Oh…right, sorry about that, I know Siwon quite well, he does a lot of collaborations with our law firm, but he’s never told anyone that he owns Joie.”

   Ryeowook’s amusement was clear, “And the world just keeps getting smaller doesn’t it?”

   “So it would seem.” Kyuhyun was now wondering how on earth Ryeowook and him seemed to know so many of the same people and why the hell they had only met just a week ago if so many of their acquaintances knew one another.

   “It’s getting weirder and weirder that we’ve never met earlier with how many people we both know isn’t it?” Ryeowook said, voicing Kyuhyun’s thoughts aloud.

   “Can you read minds?”

   Ryeowook smiled, “No, but occasionally we seem to be on the same wavelength don’t we? But why did you ask how often Siwon comes in to Joie?” 

   “I was just curious about the owner who would bribe their executive chef with tables…” Kyuhyun said in a teasing tone.

   Ryeowook smiled, “I can’t completely deny that. After all that’s one of the main reasons I love Joie so much, I love that my family and friends can come in anytime and I can give them a meal…”

   Kyuhyun kissed Ryeowook softly, “You’re seriously too good.”

   Ryeowook looked at him playfully: “Am I?”

  Kyuhyun groaned, “Yes you are! And the only reason Im not a nervous wreck that Siwon won’t try to make a move on you is that everyone in Korea knows that Heechul would have his head if he even laid his eyes on someone else.”

   Ryeowook laughed at that, “Kyu, Im pretty sure it’s not just his head that would go…”

   And Kyuhyun had to agree to that. And before they knew it they were exchanging stories of Siwon getting his whooped by Heechul and how oddly cute they were as a couple.

  Just as Ryeowook was about to tell the story about the time Heechul came to Joie unexpectedly with the temper of an angry hippo, they heard a car door beep. Ryeowook ran to the window to check who had come. It was Eunhyuk.

  Ryeowook felt a breath behind his ear.

   “You ready to break the news to him?”

   He took a deep breath, “It’s now or never right?” he whispered. He felt Kyuhyun’s long fingers take hold of his hand. Ryeowook was nervous, what if Hyuk didn’t react well, what if he tried to talk them out of their relationship? But his worries started to vanish when he felt Kyuhyun the back of his hand. He gently squeezed Kyuhyun’s hand and took another breath. It was going to be fine, Hyuk was one of his best friends, and one of Kyuhyun’s best friends, this was going to work.
