Meanwhile…in the kitchen…

KPOV

     He had returned to the kitchen to get the last of the food out on to the table and realized he needed to text Kangin about the dinner arrangement. While gathering the last of the dishes onto the cart to bring out, he brought out his phone to text Kangin.

To: Kangin

Hey, you and Leeteuk have a dinner reservation at Joie next Friday at 6. Happy Anniversary to you both. Enjoy.

PS: My boyfriend is seriously a saint…

He was about to tuck his phone back into his pocket, when he felt his phone ring, Kyuhyun sighed, but his eyes betrayed his amusement.

    “You’re not kidding me right?! This would seriously be your most cruel joke ever if it was.”

    Kyuhyun laughed, “Im not that cruel, I asked Ryeowook if I could book a reservation for the two of you and he said he would make it happen, so you seriously need to thank him when you go”

     “Oh My God!!! Kyuhyun this is literally the nicest thing anyone has ever done for us! I owe you big time.” He then heard a groan, which made Kyuhyun smile, no one ever liked owing Kyuhyun anything…you never knew what favor he was going to ask for…

     “Honestly, the real hero is Ryeowook, he’s the one who made it happen, I just asked.”

     “You are seriously one lucky guy, I can’t believe he’s doing this for a couple he’s never even met…how on earth did someone like him end up with someone like you…”

     “I know…I asked myself the same question, but you can bet Im not going to let him go. They always say that if you meet someone who’s too good for you, don’t let them go.”

     “Well, from the sounds of it, he is definitely too good for you…”

     “Yah! I already know that! Just shut up before I cancel your date”

     “You wouldn’t dare…”

     “You’re really want to test this?”

     “Ah…You know what, someone’s calling me, I got to go, I love you, thanks again buddy!”

And with that the line went dead.

     Kyuhyun chuckled and shook his head, he would never actually cancel the date, but it was too much fun messing with people.

    A giggle snapped him from his amusement.

RPOV

     He had come to check that Kyuhyun hadn’t eaten all of the butter cookies that were supposed to be for the guests to take home, but to his surprise he was on his cell phone talking with someone.

   It was amusing watching him place his phone on speakerphone, while proceeding to gather the last dishes onto the cart, his boyfriend was still so focused on the task at hand…and he kind of had to internally squeal at that.

   From the sound of the conversation, he could guess he was speaking to Kangin, and though he knew he should probably leave, he couldn’t help but listen, it was fun hearing Kyuhyun talk with his friends. Magazines had dubbed him the young, serious, gifted and incredibly handsome (he may have added the last one...but some of those magazine photos of him had him drooling at the sight) slightly cold lawyer, Ryeowook knew better. While he agreed that Kyuhyun was young and could be serious, for the most part he was mischievous, sweet, loyal, and incredibly generous. And though Kyuhyun told him that most of his coworkers were scared of him, he knew that Kyuhyun was simply being idiotic, because if this conversation was any indication of how his coworkers felt about him, he was pretty sure he was adored (and slightly feared, but mostly adored).

   A giggle escaped when he thought back to how fast Kangin cut off their conversation and he realized his cover was blown.

    “Was someone eavesdropping?”

    “N..No, I just came to make sure you didn’t eat all of the butter cookies…” he said, while walking closer to Kyuhyun.

    Kyuhyun smiled at him and suddenly pulled him closer, trapping him between one of the kitchen counters and his body.

     “You know, while you’re perfect in just about every aspect, you kind of at lying”

     Ryeowook sighed, looks like he was caught.

     “It’s true though that I really did come to check you weren’t eating all of the butter cookies…”

     Kyuhyun laughed, “I saw them, but before I could sneak a couple, Kangin called and I couldn’t really sneak any.”

     “Yeah, but you put him on speakerphone, so you could have easily taken some, but instead you put the rest of the food on the cart, so Im pretty impressed…”

     His thoughts were interrupted when he realized just how close their proximity to one another was.

KPOV

    Realizing Ryeowook had just caught onto their positions, he closed the distance and whispered in his ear, “Do I get a reward?”

    Ryeowook nervously answered, “You mean you want a butter cookie?”

    Kyuhyun couldn’t help but smile, could his boyfriend be any cuter?

    “No, I see something I want much more than a butter cookie”

    “Do you want an éclair?” Ryeowook said, trying to wiggle out of the position he was in.

    Kyuhyun smirked, he wasn’t about to let him go, “No, Ill give you a hint” and with that, he gave him a gentle kiss.

    Gentle kisses soon gave way to a heated make out session. Kyuhyun nipped at Ryeowook’s lower lip, which gave way to a Ryeowook, his lips calling for Kyuhyun to deepen it. Kyuhyun took his time, still memorizing the layout of his cavern, and as if to mark each part of Ryeowook’s mouth as his.

RPOV

    Any reservations he had were out the window as soon as Kyuhyun kissed him. He was beginning to think Kyuhyun’s kisses were addictive. He gasped when he felt kisses being trailed down his neck. His body moved automatically and he grasped the back of Kyuhyun’s neck and in return Kyuhyun hoisted him up onto the kitchen counter.

     He immediately wrapped his legs around Kyuhyun’s waist and the make-out session continued. Kyuhyun’s hands trailed under his shirt and massaged his sides, making his body shiver in want. All the while, Kyuhyun had left several love bites down his neck and Ryeowook was under Kyuhyun’s ministrations. He had his hands firmly locked in Kyuhyun’s soft dark brown locks, pulling him closer. Almost begging to be touched more.

   But all was cut short when they heard some loud coughing.

   “Yah!! You two stop making out! Sungmin just parked and my stomach has now declared that it has made its way to China!”

And with that he marched over to the cart of food that Kyuhyun had just finished loading and started to roll the cart out of the kitchen, heading back into the dining area.

   “Wait! Hyuk!”

   “What?”

   “You’re not angry? Or surprised we’re together?”

   He paused the cart and they heard a sigh, “I already had a feeling you two were together when I saw you earlier and I texted Hae and he confirmed that you were. And why on earth would I be upset? I’ve never wanted fate to act on two people more. So hurry up and fix yourselves before you come out. My stomach is seriously going to die without some food.” And with that he left the two alone again.

   Ryeowook still had his head buried on Kyuhyun’s shoulder, he was too embarrassed to move, let alone talk.

   “Well, he took that news rather well didn’t he?” Kyuhyun said while running soothing circles around Ryeowook’s back.

   “I can’t believe he saw us like that…”

   “He could have seen us doing worse things…” Kyuhyun teased.

 Ryeowook groaned, “You are seriously…”

 Kyuhyun laughed, “Come on, we better get out there, Hyuk isn’t going to last much longer without some food and Min will probably beat me if I keep you from him…

   Ryeowook had to smile at this. Kyuhyun always had a way of keeping him at ease.

   “Alright you win…but you have to help me restyle my clothes before going out there!”

KPOV

   “Of course.” And with that promise, he had Ryeowook once again wrap his legs around him and then told him to hold onto his neck, so he could bring him off the counter.

   While he could have let his petite lover jump back down, he was a bit worried something could go wrong, not to mention koala hugs were absolutely the best…

And Ryeowook must have thought the same because he was more than happy to comply with him and securely wrapped his arms and legs around him.

   After a few minutes, Kyuhyun reluctantly set him down, but not before giving him a quick peck.

   Ryeowook chuckled, “Come on, let’s fix our appearances before we start making out again”

   “True, I can’t be left alone with you for too long, you’re too tempting…”

    Ryeowook smacked him lightly, “Hold still and let me fix your hair”

    Kyuhyun savored the feeling of Ryeowook’s delicate fingers working to move each strand to its place.

    “Alright, perfect!” Ryeowook clapped.

    And all too soon, those magic fingers disappeared.

    Ryeowook then set to work on fixing his own hair. Pulling out a small compact with a mirror in it.

    “Ah! Kyuhyun!! Look what you did! I can’t believe you left marks!!”

    He had to hold back a laugh when he saw Ryeowook looking at the love bites with half awe and half exasperation.

    “Sorry, I couldn’t help it, you were just so tasty.”

    “You are so lucky I packed a scarf with me today…” he grumbled.

    Kyuhyun quickly fixed the buttons on Ryeowook’s dress shirt and straightened out the cardigan he was wearing.

      While Ryeowook went to fetch the scarf from his backpack, he quickly straightened his own shirt. When Ryeowook came back, he had a thick chunky scarf wrapped loosely around his neck.

   Kyuhyun recognized the scarf as the same one he was wearing when they first met.

   “what?”

   Kyuhyun didn’t realize he had murmured, “same scarf” aloud.

   “That’s the same scarf you wore at Oishi right?”

   Ryeowook look startled, “You remember? Im surprised!”

   “Im surprised too” Kyuhyun confessed, “I can’t even remember what I was wearing that evening or most days for that matter, but somehow, when it comes to you everything is automatically saved.”

RPOV

    And just like that, he melted. He pressed his head into Kyuhyun’s chest and murmured another “Saranghae”.

    From a distance they could hear Sungmin walking into the restaurant.

Kyuhyun placed another kiss on his head before taking his hand, “You have no idea how much I love you…”

   Ryeowook smiled, “I have a rough idea”

Kyuhyun looked at him doubtfully, but Ryeowook continued, “I have an idea because I love you way more than I could probably express in words, so Im happy that the feeling seems to be mutual”

  Kyuhyun smiled at this and gave his hand a little squeeze. “Touché.”

Ryeowook laughed, “Come on let’s go, Min and his family are going to wonder where we are and I doubt Hyuk can last much longer.”

   Kyuhyun laughed, “Yeah…if his stomach is at China already, where will it head next?”

And with those words, they exited the kitchen, eager to start the dinner party.
