*DING* * DONG*

Donghae stood frozen as he opened the door. There was Taecyeon...standing on the doorway...

“Taecyeon? You’re-“

“Taec!”

From upstairs, Jessica ran towards the two young men and immediately hugged the one standing on the doorway. Donghae couldn’t stop his jaw from dropping and his eyes were as  big as meatballs (not really) due to shock. He was outraged by what he saw.

“What is the meaning Jung Soo-yeon?” he said, glaring at the two

“Why? Is there something wrong?” she fired back

“Ugh...uhm...Jessica actually asked me to accompany her in an art exhibit. She’s been dying to see one after recovering” Taecyeon explained in order to prevent any fights between the two

“Aren’t you supposed to be in Boston?” Donghae asked suspiciously

“Yeah but as soon as I heard about Jessica’s accident, I flew back to South Korea to see her if she’s well”

“I see” he rolled his eyes at Taecyeon and back to Jessica “I’m sorry to say this but why did you not ask me to accompany you? Mr. Ok might be busy with his schedules” Donghae continued, still glaring badly

But Jessica shot back “You don’t have any right to control my life. You’re just my husband...a good for nothing”

That hurts. Donghae’s face cannot be painted. He was exploding of anger inside. He wanted to strangle Taecyeon so badly...

“Uhm...Jessica...will it be ok?” Taecyeon scratched his head uncomfortably and smiled sheepishly at the two

“It’s all right, he’s fine. Let’s go oppa”

Jessica literally dragged him away but sweetly; leaving the heartbroken Donghae on the doorstep.

-Flashback-

“Hey Lee Donghae!”

“What?”

The girl wearing a plain school uniform caught the collar of her best friend as he tried to run away from her grip...well, favour actually.

“Come on, it’s just only a thirty minute drive from Seoul”

“I don’t want. OUCH!” the pinch on his ear might be really painful

“Hey,hey , hey. I patiently waited for you outside the school every dismissal everyday; but you can’t grant my very little wish? You’re so unfair”

“But are galleries are so boring!” he grumbled

“Tsk. They’re beautiful! I’ll punch you!!!”

Just imagine Jessica with her clenched fist...ready to hit Donghae’s handsome face anytime

“OK! OK! Just don’t kill me!”

“Stupid coward” she scoffed

“Fine, fine...I’ll go with you. But don’t strangle me anymore. You’re scary, seriously” he said in the whilst of arranging his scruffy collar made by Jessica

“Thanks!” Jessica then grabbed him once again for a tight hug

“Ok...you’re killing me Sica” he was really struggling...good thing Jessica now freed him from her bear hug which seemed like forever

“Thank you, Hae!” and gave him a peck on the cheek

“What was that for?! Hey! Come back here you freak! You must have swallowed cucumbers in your breakfast!”

I can tell you he was blushing

-End of flashback-

Donghae just laughed at the memory of the times Jessica would strangle him in order to persuade him to an art gallery with her. He looked for the old album containing their pictures during high school.

*Jessica and Donghae Forever* written on the side of the album’s cover

“No, it won’t we can’t be”

Cold tears were welling up on his eyes...and suddenly, a paper fell from the album as he searched the pages.

“What’s this? It wasn’t right here when I last searched”

He was puzzled to see the not on the album. Well, it has been ages (two years actually) after he decided to take a look on the album again.

And he opened it...it was dated back around two years ago...the year they got married

Dear Donghae,

I was hoping for you to accompany me in the art gallery but sadly, you declined. You said you were very busy working in the office so I went alone. Don’t worry, I can drive home by myself. Sorry for borrowing your other car...kekeke...mine’s out of gas that’s why I have no choice. This is the first time you’re not accompying me to the gallery; wish you were here. I guess you’re already tired of doing that...being punched by me J, aren’t you? Take care and get some sleep! Fighting!

P.S: I made a sandwich for you just in case you starve or if you haven’t eaten dinner yet. It’s in the fridge. I don’t know how to make one that’s why I woke Yoona in her deep sleep just to help me get out of this mess; but at least I tried. I hope you’ll enjoy eating my disastrous sandwich. xD

Donghae was grinning while reading the whole note...I mean letter. He remembered that it was the same note Jessica placed on the fridge on the first month of their marriage

Donghae patiently waited on the terrace for Jessica, it’s already 12 midnight yet she’s not even answering his calls or replies on his messages. He was really frightened to death. Just as he was going back inside he saw Jessica...there she was...there was Taecyeon’s car parked beside the gate and of course, Taecyeon, bidding his farewells to Jessica. He continued observing the two...

“Thanks for the ride oppa” Jessica smiled

“Don’t mention it” he smiled back

She caught the glimpse of Donghae on the side of her eye and sensed the he is watching them. Since Jessica is so intelligent and is willing to do everything just to hurt Donghae...there she was again, placing her hand on Taecyeon’s shoulder, tipping her toes to reach his mighty height...and kissing him passionately. Of course, Donghae saw the whole scene. He immediately ran back inside the house and threw himself back on the couch. He was hurt...the day Jessica found out he was cheating on her ran through his mind. Donghae felt Jessica’s pain...and now is the time for him to feel her painful sufferings.

On the other side of the story, Taecyeon immediately stopped Jessica from kissing him...

“STOP”

“But why? You loved me, didn’t you? Isn’t this what you want?”

“Don’t use me Jessica” he replied in English

“What do you mean?” she answered back using the same language

“I saw Donghae watching us”

“But-”

“I know you’re still angry at him but please don’t use me just to hurt him. I don’t and never want to be used especially by you, Jessica. Then you might have never agreed to stay with him, haven’t you? I do still love you but the question is, do you really love me? Or are you only using me in order to get revenge. I’m  sorry Sica but I hope you’ll soon know the answer to my question. Goodbye”

With that, Taecyeon kissed her cheek and bid goodbye.

It’s as if an ice water was splashed on Jessica. Taecyeon must be right but she has to make Donghae suffer. She went inside the house after some time only to find Donghae, sitting on the couch and glaring at her darkly.

“Why are you late? It’s midnight...” his voice was shaking with anger

“Poor you, you waited. How caring of you” she answered sarcastically

“Didn’t you know how scared I was?! I was scared to death! What if anything happens to you?! You didn’t even answer my calls or even messages! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU SOO-YEON?!” and with that, he exploded

“Why do you care?! You’re not even in the position to tell me that and besides I’m not a child anymore! You were the one who put me on this freaking place! You were the cause of my accident! If not because of you, I would be living a normal life now!” she shouted back

“You scared the hell out of me Sica. I was just scared. You and Taecyeon-“

You can see tears forming on Jessica’s eyes whilst Donghae...he was crying really hard...giving up his manly pride.

“Don’t. Call. Me. Like. That. You saw us kissing, right? Am I right?”

“I’m not a fool. You did that on purpose, didn’t you?”

“You’re smart, smarter than I thought”

“Then you’re dumb, dumber than I thought” he fired back

She scurried back to her own room but he grabbed her arm fast

“GO AWAY! Leave me alone!”

“I have something to tell you!”

“I don’t care!”

“JUST ING LISTEN TO ME JESSICA JUNG SOO-YEON!” his voice was trembling due to anger, hatred, jealousy, and nervousness

“Go on, what the ing is it?”

“I’m signing up for the army. I might not be able to see you for two years. I will be leaving in three days”

SILENCE

“So what? We’ll be having our divorce anyways” she said, expressionless, as if Donghae never became a part of her life. Well, how would she know? She doesn’t remember him, right?

“I love you Jessica. I really really really really really really love you even if it means death” he once again cried out

She heard it right, he loves her. Her heart says to forgive him but her mind says to destroy him. Her heart pitied him deeply but her mind wants him suffering. She wanted to hug him and say that she is all right but this anger...this hatred is holding her back.

“I’m leaving this house. Don’t call me again or even give a message. You’re completely out of my life and better get those divorce papers done. Sign them if you have time. I’m only waiting for you to sign it and we’ll be separated soon” she said, pretending not to hear him

And Jessica determinedly left the house...also leaving Donghae.
