-Donghae’s POV-

I’m happy that Jessica finally agreed to move in with me yet sad since she’ll be only staying with me for a month...even for a month...even for a short time. I will always be contented as long as Jessica will always be on my side.

“Welcome home Jessica” I said as I flashed a great smile

But she’s busy checking on the house, she’s zoning out again.

“Are you all right? It’s ok if you’re not comfortable-“

“I’m always fine” she jerked her head cockily, giving me one of her icy glares that made my spine shiver

She isn’t telling the truth. I know her very much

“Where are my bags?”

“At the compartment of the car” I replied immediately “Should I get it for you?”

“Of course, I’m a girl”

Boy, she’s really treating me coldly

“Uh right, you’re so dumb Donghae” I whispered to myself

“Good thing you know”

VERY COLD

-Author’s POV-

Donghae went inside the house followed by Jessica. If you could imagine him carrying all of her stuffs without Jessica’s help; you’d really be pitying on him

“Here we are *coughs* Jessica*inhales*exhales*welcome back”

“I’m thirsty. Where is the kitchen?”

“There, just turn left” he pointed the direction of the kitchen

Jessica then stepped inside the huge kitchen and grabbed herself a drink. Donghae followed and there was an awkward silence between the two

“What?” Jessica, throwing again her glares to Donghae. If looks can kill, he should have died instantly. But for Donghae, Jessica’s beautiful face made him alive...and also his weakness.

“Nothing, I just want to see you” he said, staring at the goddess-like figure in front of him

“Pardon?”

“Oh no, I mean, If you want to take a rest, I’ll be taking you to your room”

“Wait, my room? What do you mean my room? So you’re saying that we’re not sharing a room?”

Donghae just nodded in reply

“For God’s sake Donghae, what kind of husband are you?”

“I’m really sorry Jessica” he blurted out

“It’s fine. I don’t even KNOW you. How could I sleep beside a stranger?”

-Donghae’s POV-

I have to blame myself for everything. She hates me so much for everything...for everything I did to her

-Author’s POV-

Two weeks had passed and Donghae is still suffering from his HAPPY TORTURE. He has nothing to do but to run errands for Jessica and follow her commands. Jessica’s treatment towards Donghae is getting worse each day. Every night, Jessica goes to the clubs with her friends; the cause of their daily argues and Donghae always lets her win. He wanted to be a good husband and stop Jessica from going to that dark place filled with lights and music but he just can’t. He wants to give Jessica the freedom he took away from her for two years.

-Flashback-

“Why are you late? It’s already 3 a.m. in the morning” now, it’s Donghae’s turn to glare at her

“Oh, you waited” she grinned foolishly

“I’m asking you so answer me” he kept calm, but inside he’s about to explode

“I have my own life so you don’t have the right to-“

“I have the right to ask you because I am your husband! I am your guardian for now and if something happens to you, I will be blamed for it!” it was the time that Donghae raised his voice at Jessica once again after the accident

“Shut up Donghae!”

“Please, listen to me”

“What if I don’t want to?! You ruined my life! And now, I was forced to live with you”

“You’re drunk Jessica! You don’t know what you are saying.  First of all I didn’t force you to move in with me”

“Oh yeah I’m drunk. I don’t care what you’re saying” she’s really drunk “You are so-“

And there she was, lying on the floor, after stumbling due to her drunken state.

“Jessica! Are you all right?!” he immediately ran to her side

“I hate you Donghae. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you” tears were already flowing on her face

Donghae just stared at her beautiful face with his worried eyes. He used his thumb to wipe away the tears on her cheeks.

“I’m so sorry Jessica. Everything’s going to be all right” he said while hugging her tightly

-End of Flashback-

Jessica has this kind of ‘power’ of Donghae. She was controlling his every move as if he was his pet robot. This behaviour of Jessica continued for days...weeks but Donghae is not complaining nor whining. He just remained silent until one day, Jessica’s long time suitor, Taecyeon, comes into the scene.

Just so he thought that ‘everything’s going to be all right’.

He was wrong.
