Hyosung sighed as she looked at the girls' particular room. Yuri was mulling over her laptop as the older woman scooted closer. Noticing the presence, Yuri looked surprised, but the look quickly turned to regret as Hyosung sat on the bed. No one else was there except for the two of them, as the room hung with awkward silence. It's been several hours after she informed Jookyung, the members should've known.
"I'm sorry." Yuri said, lowering her head.
"It's alright, family's important," Hyosung said, staring at the ceiling. "but that also meant that we can't wait for you to come back. So I'm making sure that you're seriously considering for this, then?"
Yuri paused for a while. Then Hyosung saw the determination in her eyes. "I know you wanted me to be in here, but I really can't do it. I know you guys don't have much time either, but I'm pretty sure Jookyung and you already prepared backup candidates in case of these situations. Had he informed the rest of the members?"
Hyosung bit her lips as she looked down. Yuri's bags are packed and her bedroom was clean from any presence of electronics. She herself was ready to go too, her laptop now tucked away with only a stack of paper and a memory stick in her hands. "Should be. But either way, I wish you the best luck."
Yuri saw Hyosung let her hand out, and grabbed it. A small, bitter smile came out as she offered the bundle and memory stick towards Hyosung. "TSIT has been going around after a while, I'm worried they are involved in the missing cases at Busan. If you need my help after this, just contact me later on. Jookyung should have my e-mail address at hand." Yuri said.
Hyosung gathered them in her arms as they both walked downstairs.
♦
"It's kind of terrible for you to leave so soon." Sejoon muttered, although his face showed slight disappointment as Yuri walked towards her car. Yuri knew that he meant well, but it's hard not to feel upset when his tone sounded snarky.
"I appreciate you being here, even if it's for a while." Wooyoung said, carrying her bags out to help. He gave out a pointed look at Hani, who silently glared at Yuri's back. She knew she had no reason to even think too terribly of Yuri, but she couldn't help but feel ever slightly annoyed at commitment terms.
Hyerin and Jisung said nothing, although Jisung sincerely do felt slightly sadder towards Yuri compared to the girl. Hyerin was looking at her, but her expression remained blank than ever.
"Goodbye to all of you. I hope to see you soon again." Yuri said, her tone getting darker as she got up on her car, waving. The rest waved goodbye at her as she flashed a forced smile at them, and driving away afterwards.
As she went farther, Jisung frowned to look when the rest of the team members turned away fast. Then, something clicked on him. He hurriedly approched Hyosung, and asked, "Where's Jookyung?"
♦
Jookyung pushed his back as he waited at the back of the office. As the door opens, he looked up to meet his eyes at a girl, who stared back at him. She was small-framed with a messy bun with light brown hair. Looking at her, he couldn't help but sigh.
"I'm just going to cut to the point, but if you want to join a team mission right now, pack your bags and follow me." Jookyung bluntly said.
The girl blankly stared at him, before she shook her head, flustered. "What?"
Jookyung felt like facepalming. "There's a project, or a serial crime involving both police force and Johak collaborating together, and is now missing a member. The duty is being a hacker that can have the big skills towards getting secret datas. Do you want to join or not?"
Again, she stared blankly as Jookyung drilled holes at her. Not saying goodbye to Yuri was frustrating, but getting the particular girl to talk was even harder.
"You've seen my datas." She muttered. Her voice was low, almost inaudible and Jookyung could barely hear it.
"You're implying?"
"I don't work with teams... well. I don't talk much." She looked down. At this point, Jookyung was itching to snark at her, but the idea isn't there.
"Hackers don't need to talk much either, though." Jookyung said.
"I do have other kinds of projects to do too. I'm so sorry." She bowed, and started walking away.
Jookyung realized he's going to let oppoturnities slip, and bit his lips before saying, "What if the project I offer is not yet solveable by other agents?"
She turned again, and asked. "Sorry?"
"It's really difficult and has remained unsolved for the past few days and is a hard case to touch," Jookyung stood up, putting his hands at his pockets. "But I supposed someone like you felt that this case is way too much to handle than usual."
Just as Jookyung walked away to face in the other direction, he heard fast footsteps, and a loud thud. When he turned back, she was only a few centimetres short in front of him, fuming. There was something in her eyes that burned rather than the dead look he had for the past ten minutes, and he couldn't help but held a smug grin.
"Soon Jookyung, you do not just try to doubt me." She fumed.
"Well, Hwang Iseul, I suppose to take what you have said more seriously," Jookyung smirked. "but you know the agreements, now pack your bags and follow me."
notes : i added one member at immediate, ergh I have no idea what to say. Congrats to morninginmarch! So right now I wanted at least one chapter a week updated at weekends, or two chapters if I'm up for it (which is kind of impossible given that I have 4-5 months before A-Level).
