I am calm and I am collected I told myself as I practiced my breathing in the freezing cold in our apartment courtyard

I'll give him 2 more minutes and if he's not down there by then ... I'll kill him

I stared at the watch on my wirst and could feel my body warming up just from the sheer rage that was pulsating through it.This was Hanbin always ALWAYS late for school and you know what bothered me, he was neeever late for practices. just school. I used to at one point faaar back in time have a perfect attendance record but as years go by I just pray I won't exceed the tardy limit for each semester. 

I pulled out my phone from inside my pocket and removed the glove from my hand with my teeth as I stood shivering typing to him

-YAH, I'm going, I can't be late again this week atleast and if I am late just wait till I get my hands on you- Sera

"aiiiiish" I said as I ran the usual route covered in a thin blanket of falling snow. 

I felt my nose start to glow it's usual red and my mouth chatter violently as the chilly wind crashed into my face. 

"he's a , he's such a ---" I felt everything move in the usual falling over slow motion as I slipped suddenly falling onto the curb of the walkway 

Now not only was my nose red, I could feel my whole face change to a red of embarrasment. I covered my face by looking down and quickly dusted myself off trying to get up before anyone else saw

I picked up my bag and started to stand when I saw the wheels of a bike stop infront of me. 

Looking up I saw... .. I saw he's face, Jinhwan.

He crooked his head slightly to match my height and smiled as he hopped off of his bike and bent down to where I was sitting splayed out on the floor 

"Need some help ?" 

His smile was so pretty,  I watched as his eyes smiled with him and the little dot under his right eye creased upwards.

"Aaa-aniya, I'll be okay" I said standing up a bit wobbly

"hmmmm" he said eyes trained on my legs

I looked down to see a tear in my stockings

"tsk tsk tsk, if you don't put an icepack on that it'll bruise Sera sshi"

My eyes light up a little too obviously for a moment, is it bad to say hearing my name from him made me feel just a liiiiitle good?

"s-sorry?"

"Here" he picked up a handful of clean snow on the side of the road and packed it into a ball before kneeling back down and patting it onto my shin

I squirmed at the sudden coldness but kind of just decided to let it happen 

"When I was younger I used to slip and fall on the iced pavements all the time and so my mum taught me this quick fix trick" Jinhwan said with a soft smile 

He got back up getting on his bike before looking at me for a moment as if expecting something

"... aren't you going to get on?"

"huh?"

"I'll give you a lift to your school, it looks like you're running late"

I nodded awestruck before hopping onto the back of his bike and carefully holding onto the edge of his jacket before he set off

"Aren't you going to the studio Jinhwan sshi?"

"Mmm, I just wanted to look around this neighbourhood first"

"aaah" I said as my brain tried to think of something more to say but froze from what I blamed on the winter chill

The rest of the way consisted only of me giving directions and me silently enjoying shielding myself from the crass winter air behind Jinhwan's sillhoutte 

Getting off at the school gates I gave him a small wave as he rode off back in the opposite direction. Maybe Hanbin being late today wasn't so bad after all

I walked into my Biology class and felt my eyes zone in and out of the board at the front of the classroom, to be honest all I wanted was this final year of school to be over, it was just all too hard and usually I would catch little naps during school so I could stay functioning for rehersal but if I was going to walk out of this place with some sort of achievement coming from the years of schooling I had to make sure I did well for  atleast just this year.

Before I knew it I heard the sound of the bell shaking me from my daydream

I gathered my things slightly disgruntled and walked out of the room towards the cafeteria. I saw Hanbin with his back towards me sitting at a table  and suddenly felt very awake so I could give him a piece of my mind. 

With a tray of food in hand I marched over to the table rampantly "Yah Kim Hanbin how many times do I have to tell you to use an alar-"

I felt my thought process short circuit as I saw Minji smiling across the table

Hanbin wasn't exactly what I'd call a player or anything but over the years he'd always had his flock of admirers and so from time to time he'd always have some girl or another by his side. They came and went but suddenly when I saw Minji sitting there for some reason an image which with any other girl would've been perfectly normal I felt an indescribable sensation... numb me.

"oh it's your friend B.I" she said pointing at me as if we didn't share the same house and I was an utter stranger to her otherwise 

"Sera yah come sit here" Hanbin waved his hands towards me

I placed my tray slowly next to Minji and took a seat silently not really sure what to do with myself. For the rest of recess I watched as the two giggled and laughed and occassionaly acknowledged my presence as I shovelled my food down my throat in complete silence. What was this weirdo numbing

I got up and placed my tray away and started to walk to the music block when I felt his hand pull me back

"Yah I'm really sorry about this morning" Hanbin said with his signatory guilty eyes 

"it's okay" I said without the anger that I'd usually accompany my tone with in these situations 

He stood for a moment slightly confused and I stood aswell

"are.. are you sure ?"

I nodded without thinking much 

"umm okay" he said moving his hand off of my shoulder 

".. are you sure"  he said again searching my eyes

Suddenly I felt the world around me move again and snapped out of it, I was having a really slow brain day it seemed 

I smiled a reassuring smile and nodded "yah, it's okay see you later okay" 

and with that... I just walked away
