"Yah" Hanbin said patting my shoulder vigorously 

I gave him a look of warning before he cleared his throat and smiled innocently 

"But yah,Sera look" he said shoving his phone in my face

I took the phone off Hanbin's hands and stared at the picture of the beauitful Minji's facebook profile

"She added me yesterday" he said with a triumphant tone taking the phone back

"WAAAAAAH congratulations!!!" I said in the most sarcastic tone I could manage 

The two of us sat on the floor of the empty dance practice room during the lunch break and squabbled over his phone as he stalked Minji at fb stalker levels I didn't know existed.

"I'd be scared Sera" he suddenly said as I sat drinking my water nonchalantly.

"... What of?"

"Of Minji " he said scrolling continuously without his eyes leaving the little handset screen

I grabbed the phone from his hand and stared at him 

"Yah, why should I be scared?

He smiled a cocky smile I'd known for too long before grabbing his phone back

"She's pretty and talented"

"So?"

" well you're just kind of talented and well" he said scanning my sweatpant outfit up and down "... she's got the whole package"

I took the towel around my neck and hit him over the head and aggressively whipping his arm 

"Firstly" I said with another whip "I'm very talented and SECONDLY Hanbin sshi I'll let you know that I've got a cool kid style going on okay and if they debuted people based on their looks alone at YG I wouldn't have auditioned here"

He held back a smile as he rubbed the towel burn on his arm 

"Cool kid style?" he said looking at me before I threw up the towel again to which he flinched and made a sorry expression with his eyes.

I'd known Hanbin since the day I'd walked into this place, we were the same age but for over a year he made me use honorifics whilst he spoke casually to me.However slowly over the years we grew up togther sweating it out neck and neck in competition and at some bizzare point we became friends who had stuck it out together, before anyone of the current trainees had entered the company. 

As the two of us continued to playfully bicker away on the wooden practice room floor the glass door leading to the training room suddenly creaked open. Our eyes shiftted to the calm silhouette at the door as he stepped in cautiously 

"Hi" he said after standing infront of us for a second not knowing what to do 

I stared at him for a moment a little bit enchanted by his awkward smile and stance

Hanbin looked over to me waiting for some sort of reaction but turned away seeing my frozen demeanour

"Can I help you?" he said rising up to face the boy 

" I'm Jinhwan, a new trainee"

ahh a new trainee I thought blissfully lost in my own thoughts staring up at the mysterious figure. He stood wearing a loose black tee and jeans with a leather backpack hanging off his back. He scratched his grey beanie waiting for Hanbin to make some sort of respone to what he just said before sighing and putting his hands into his pockets. 

Hanbin stood judgingly scanning Jinhwan from head to toe

A long silence passed before anyone spoke

"Is there somewhere I need to go? I'm not really sure so it'd be great if you could help me out" the mysterious trainee flatly asked

Hanbin just looked him up once again and then turned away to walk back to where I was sitting 

"How old are you?" Hanbin said with a trail of hostility

"20, what about you?"

Hanbin didn't reply. 

That was Hanbin for you.Only he'd ever ask the questions never willing to offer a reply to anyone else. Every day of his life he has walked around with an air of bravado he lets no one else match.  He's stubborn and controlling, which when it came to producing music created perfectionist material but in the real world left him looking a bit  pretentious douchey to say the least.Hanbin would hate everyone and make everyone hate him before he learnt to respect them. Once you were past that initial hurdle it was all good but getting past that hurdle is where most people seemed to fall. I saw the change on Jinhwan sshi's face as his obvious distaste for Hanbin started to form. 

I got up suddenly having broken my momentary daydream 

"Annyeong" I said smiling sticking my hand out for a handshake.

With a slight half smile the boy reached out  before shaking my hand 

"Hi" he said again smiling whilst scanning my eyes slowly 

"I-I'm Sera, I'm a trainee here too, I'm 18" I said smiling back slightly flustered by the intense eye contact

"Annyeong Sera" he said with a soft charisma 

"Aah umm h-have you got all your paperwork and what not"

"Yep picked it up from the front desk" he said still staring softly

Hanbin stood where he was before and just watched the two of us with annoyance and disbelief

"Well everyones on a lunch break right now, at 2 we start our afternoon lessons so until then you can go the cafeteria or .. stay here..."

Just as Jinhwan took the breath to answer suddenly Hanbin jumped in breaking the handshake to my displeasure which had been going on for quite a while now 

I gave him a mental stab in the eye. as I stepped back a little

"Uhum, Jinhwan sshi I suggest you go to the cafeteria it's one level down" he said at lightening speed "you can meet everyone else and ask them any questions, the schedules and what not else you need are on that floor too so yeah" he said clearing his throat eyes flickering around the room feigning his pretense of machoness

Jinhwan looked over to me again with a smile and then looked back to Hanbin

"thanks, I'll see you two later then" , with this he turned around heading out closing the door behind him.

"Yah Hanbin, he was so cute" My eyes gleamed

He gave me a sour look 

"You're too easy Sera, all he has to do is smile vaguely in your direction and your sold"  

"Ummm jealous much" I said as the two of us moved to sit back down in the middle of the floor 

"That doesnt make any sense .. I'm not gay or a girl, why would I be jealous of him giving his attention to you over me"

"Whatever, then why are you being so hoity toity?"

"He has a bad first impression, he's  arrogant, I don't like that attitude off of someone who's walked in here for the first time" I scoffed to myself thinking of Hanbin's first impression to not just me but everyone ever

"confidence not arrogance" I said repeating a phrase he always used 

Hanbin shot me another glare

"Yah we only have 15 minutes before we have to practice again" he said looking at the time on his phone

"I'm gonna go get some food then go to the vocal rehearsal room, I'll see you after practice yeah" Hanbin rose as he gathered his things and I gave him a slight nod. 

As Hanbin left the room I just lay sprawled out on the floor and let the images of Jinhwan sshi's face run over and over through my mind 

 I couldn't help but giggle juuust a little to myself
