Prince or Princess?

All's Well What Ends...Well?

Choi Siwon, for how Kyuhyun described him, was two years older than he was, and the same amount younger than Yesung.

Keeping that in mind, it seemed absolutely strange that a bad-assorted group of children like theirs could have gotten much closer, but, as always, the answer to this question laid behind the fact that the three of them used to live in the same neighborhood, and had known each other since when little Kyuhyun started his years at kindergarden.

Being Kyuhyun the last arrived and the youngest in his group, other children used to make fun of him and bully him -though Kyuhyun looked much embarrassed while telling this to Ryeowook, it's easily understandable- until Siwon showed up and began defending him, day by day, patiently, eventually getting himself into those terrible kids' target. But he never complained once, since he was happy for having met a quiet buddy in Kyuhyun.

It was when Siwon ended up being hit by a gang, whose boss was the student of a rival elementary school -and oldest brother of a little kid that particularly disliked Kyuhyun- that Yesung appeared.

He was walking back home from his lessons at elementary school, when little Yesung, who usually took a shortcut by the kindergarden's playground, one day noticed the fight and simply had to stop by.

He didn't think twice about getting involved into that tangle of screams, fists and kicks just to protect those two defensless cuties. He looked like the oldest of the whole group and, despite having a very quiet and friendly personality, he was often labelled as weird and strange, one with whom it was better not to mess around or get too close to. Up to recent days, Yesung ignored the reasons, but back then never showed any mean of disliking that bit of scary reputation that hovered around his own self, and that made him look a slightly bit powerful, just the needed to save those poor two children.

And there it started. The greatest friendship that they used to cherish and protect under the name of "Three Musketeers". Because they terribly looked like the famous literary trio, since, while growing up, they always ended up messing around and making huge fuss, genuinely having fun among them kids, and everybody in the neighborhood knew them for always sticking together.

While Kyuhyun told the story of his friendship with Siwon, Ryeowook mentally took note of everything, underlining with a fictional pencil the aspect that wanted his man not knowing anything but happiness throughout all his life. He had already said so before, while comparing their two lives: Kyuhyun was born into happiness and grew up surrounded by joyful moments. In other words, everything that Ryeowook didn't have, or was kinda lacking of.

On their way home, while having lunch, while getting ready to meet again Siwon at a lounge bar in Itaewon, while driving to reach the place...Kyuhyun didn't stop his enthusiasm from growing. And the story went on.

Siwon had a younger sister named Jiwon and she often joined the Three Musketeers' games; despite being the youngest, she always had much fun around the three boys. But the magic spell broke right when the Choi family decided to leave Korea. When the kids where still in school, Siwon's father had been granted in heritage a large sum of money from a very distant relative and therefore, profiting of the showed up chance pointed out from a dear friend of his, decided to invest great part of it to buy a quite successful low cost airline based in Hong Kong, operating mainly in East Asia, and try to improve it for better.

As the chance came, the family had to move and settle down in Hong Kong, leaving friends and connections behind, starting anew in an unknown city and ignoring what would have come next, hoping to pursue the best of the future.

If on one hand Siwon and Jiwon could have started a new journey by themselves, an already pleasant known one was ending for them on the same moment they left Yesung and Kyuhyun.

Ryeowook listened very carefully to each word Kyuhyun was letting out, realizing that what this one went through during his childhood friendship with Siwon and his sister had surely been a very intense bond. However, if that was the case, then why Kyuhyun never mentioned it, not even once? Ryeowook had stopped feeling annoyed by Siwon's sudden intrusion and was even enjoying discovering some excerpts from Kyuhyun's past, feeling thankful -even if Siwon wasn't told about it yet- towards the people that had always loved his boyfriend and cherished him in that special way. But his other half was incredibly bothered by the fact that he was kept from knowing such precious memories by the man he loved more than himself. Why? Was it because Ryeowook didn't have the chance to share those same moments with past young Kyuhyun, that he had to be excluded that superficially?

If someone had invented a perfectly working time machine, he'd have gladly thrown away huge amounts of money to get a ride and travel back into Kyuhyun's past, only to peek inside his lover's life and look at how cute he might have been. The more he tried to push away the thought, the more he ended up being wound by doubts...he still didn't know much about those aspects of Kyuhyun's life.

Though feeling a strange bitterness in his mouth, Ryeowook swallowed down those bad sensations, and promised himself that he would have enojoyed the night, getting his own chance to discover many other things about his boyfriend through that little get-together.

After a twenty-minute drive, the two men reached their destination.

The lounge bar was one of those extremely classy underground place with expensive furniture, suffused lights and selling strong, way too strong, drinks. That was Ryeowook's first time getting in a place like that one and felt a bit intimidated by the overall atmosphere.

Luckily there was his personal soother that, right when they were walking downstairs to the main hall of the place, firmly held Ryeowook's hand in his, the cold skin under his warmer thumb. He smiled, and Ryeowook looked as if he had just been invested by a new wave of warmth right in his chest, feeling protect and safe.

As soon as they stepped into the hall, they heard some voices calling their names: the loudest being surely Yesung's, over-excited as his usual.

In a corner of the huge room there was a little low table in the middle of two black leather couches and two soft chairs. Yesung was sitting on one, while the other hosted Siwon, whom had changed clothes and looked less threatening without his business attire, and a young beautiful woman that looked exactly like the female carbon copy of Siwon.

Ryeowook was yet again introduced by Kyuhyun's mellow voice, and the girl stood up to greet him in a polite half bow as she took the pianist's soft hand in her. The two lovers sat down together on the empty couch and soon Kyuhyun couldn't refrain from leaning against Ryeowook, entouring the man's shoulders with his arm and pulling him closer.

"Wow! It's been very long since the last time I saw you, Jiwon!" Kyuhyun smiled at the young woman, making this one chuckle and smile back, nodding.

Jiwon was truly a beautiful woman. The pure and fresh-looking kind of woman: she had very long and black straight hair; thin lips always curved into a smile; bright dark eyes that didn't show anything else than pure joy and looked like having witnessed the world's best side only; she sat in a perfect lady-like posture while wearing a cream colored woolen jumper on blue jeans and leather high boots. Her small milky white hands clutched one another on her knees.

Ryeowook couldn't help but silently and intently stare this seemingly perfect woman and feel envious deep inside. After all she'd been knowing his Kyuhyun for much longer and that one thing was enough to ignite a strange jealousy in him, one that he had rarely felt towards anyone, especially Kyuhyun, because he surely didn't need to feel that way towards his boyfriend, did he?

"It's nice to meet you Ryeowook-ssi!" she smiled again in a friendly way, looking even prettier than what she already was "It's a bit strange having a famous musician sitting that close, you all look quite unreachable when being interviewed or while playing concerts" she explained her point of view, which didn't fail to please Ryeowook, erasing that little surging jealousy he had just felt. He shook his hands in mid air and tried to tell her the opposite: "I don't bite, really..." he replied, quite shy.

"No, he's so quiet, lovely and warm-hearted" Kyuhyun turned to look at him and pulled him closer to kiss him on a temple.

"I can see that! He would probably deserve someone else rather than Cho Kyuhyun, someone better" Siwon smirked, trying to tease his old friend.

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes and sighed, while handing Ryeowook a menu from where to pick drinks and appetizers. He nodded and confirmed Siwon's words: "I always tell him that, but then I just notice how we look perfect together and I succumb to my selfishness, because I'd never be strong enough to set him free and leave him to someone better. I am the best out there and I'd rather never discover the way to break the lovespell he cast on me!"

"I'd never find someone better than you Kyu, otherwise I'd have probably been elswhere right now" Ryeowook lovely pouted, casually talking without lifting his eyes from the plastic coated menu, moving his index fingertip from a basket of cream salmon mini sandwiches to three different flavors of margarita.

"See? He's got very clear ideas about us!" Kyuhyun's irony clicked and he laughed, automatically pulling the other one and nuzzling under the pianist's jawline, tickling the soft skin with the point of his nose and being consequently rejected by his blushing boyfriend, who was getting quite uneasy of displaying those gestures in front of...well, strangers...

"What are you having?" Ryeowook, with a hand still placed on Kyuhyun's chest from when he was pushing the man away, looked up into this one's eyes, cutely blinking while sharing the menu.

And when Kyuhyun tried to read the list and quickly picked something pleasant from it, Yesung was finishing his first glass of whisky. He gulped the last sip down his throat and smiled as he was carefully studying Siwon's attentive look, casted on the two lovers: "Aren't they too cute?" Yesung asked in a hiss directed at the latter one, who nodded and finally took the courage to ask for further details on the couple.

Kyuhyun, dismissing the waiter after telling him his order, kept on dumbly smile because, to reply to Siwon's curiosity, he had forced his mind to go back in time to when he first met Ryeowook. Back then, the pianist looked radiant and prettier than any other existing creature, and he shyly stood in Kyuhyun's living room, like a miracle that had just knocked on this one's heart's door, incessantly begging for being let in. That pleasant acute pain in the younger man's chest, which signalled him that his heart was crazily pounding against his ribcage, was one kind that he rarely got to explain in words.

Only Ryeowook knew what Kyuhyun meant, but he had always been showed what love for Kyuhyun was through this one's actions, rather than words, which, at a certain point, reached their imposed limits and became meaningless compared to the sweet effect of a hug, or a kiss.

"We met right before graduating from high school" Kyuhyun explained, this time pushing himself a little bit towards the edge of the sofa cushions, in order to bend forwards and stretch his arm out to grab his red wine glass. He sipped a first time, listening to Ryeowook continuing the story from where he had just left: "I was the one who confessed, if we can call that a confession..." the pianist giggled.

"Yes, it was!" Kyuhyun clicked his tongue to savour the taste of the ruby liquid "You kissed me, there's no better confession than that one!"

Ryeowook was beginning to feel lighter and happier while browsing his own precious memories, and it didn't matter that what came after that was a long ten-year period during which they hated each other for feeling a mutual love, one that was apparently wrong and impossible to achieve. Siwon and Jiwon didn't have to know everything in details, therefore Ryeowook added: "We were apart to finish our studies and got back together just a couple of years ago, when we both thought that being a couple would have been a mere utopia"

"It would have really been, if I hadn't moved to Paris and settled there" Kyuhyun added in a light scoff, showing off his great consideration and efforts towards cherishing their love.

"Are you sure you don't have a brother, a sister, a cousin, a distant relative, someone as cute, pretty and kind-hearted as you?" Yesung asked Ryeowook "You know, even someone who's just half like you would be fine, as long as you introduce this person to me!"

"How many times do I need to tell you?" Kyuhyun looked irritated, while giving his own reply to Yesung "Ryeowook is one of a kind. There is nobody like him in the world actually, try to look oustide it, if you can. He's mine and I won't give him away for all the gold existing on Earth, don't get on my nerves!"

Ryeowook then couldn't help but chuckle louder behind a hand, visibly pleased to be the object of that little fight between his boyfriend and this one's friend, whom, in the meanwhile, began laughing on his own for something he had just suddenly remembered.

Yesung drunk a bit of his second whisky and said: "Before you arrived we were all recollecting those memories from when we were a bunch of kids!"

"Which one in particular?" a curious Ryeowook asked, focused on plucking the half cut strawberry that decorated his own glass of strawberry margarita, an usual variation of the famous cocktail. He casually brought it to his lips and started the point before biting it, not at all aware of the secret glances that Kyuhyun was throwing him. This one was dealing with a peculiar hotness on his cheeks, particularly excited at the sight of that strawberry being tortured between those lips he loved, that he ended up nervously biting his own, praying for not being noticed.

"You know, we were always sticking together and thus people used to label us as the Three Musketeers, but whenever Jiwon joined our games, she didn't have a nickname to follow, therefore she simply called herself princess" Yesung started his tale, stirring amused laughs in both Siwon and Jiwon "So we were her defending knights, but she favorited one among us in particular"

"Really?" Ryeowook was still curious, but something hidden deep inside told him to slow down his enthusiasm and consider the possibility of that favorite knight being his Kyuhyun.

"Kyu, tell him!" Siwon interrupted and sided with Yesung.

"What?!" Kyuhyun forgot almost immediately about the nibbled strawberry that he wanted to bite and snatch away from between Ryeowook's lips. The pianist was now holding his questioning frown, looking intently at Kyuhyun, mentally hoping not to hear something he was more likely to hate.

"Jiwon had this kind of crush on Kyuhyun" Siwon explained, while his sister already heated up and tried to deny it: "What crush?!" she waved her hands in mid-air, as if her gesture might have successfully erased the words just pronounced.

"Come on! You secretly kissed him when he was nine!" Yesung butted in, pointing his accusatory finger at the poor girl, who looked shocked: "Who told you?!" she asked.

Kyuhyun didn't know how to react then: it seemed that he was standing on a stage with million spotlights in his direction, enlightening his presence in the midst of a pitch black darkness, fours pairs of eyes were pointed on him. Siwon was laughing hard, rested against the couch and holding his stomach; Yesung had stopped bickering with Jiwon just to turn to look at the youngest friend, while the girl was trying to avert Kyuhyun's stare and Ryeowook...

...Ryeowook almost choked on his sip and kept away his drink, as he tried to stop his coughs by looking up at the ceiling and force his throat close, in order to block that unpleasant sensation. Kyuhyun, visibly worried, placed a hand on Ryeowook's thigh to get closer to his lover, and patted his back a couple of times to help him. His voice cracked one low unsure: "Everything okay?"

The pianist, whose face was slightly red tinted because of the efforts, slowly nodded, pushing Kyuhyun away: "I-I'm f-fine" he replied with his high-pitched voice now striken with hoarser notes. He tried to smile, and his lips failed to curve upwards, as he was still dealing with the scratchy bitterness deep inside his throat.

"Look, Ryeowook-ssi. It's not what you think!" Jiwon rushed to give her explanation "Do not trust this liar!" she pointed back at Yesung "Won't you tell him the rest of the story now?"

"Fine!" Yesung rolled his eyes in the ceiling direction and sighed, sure of having Ryeowook's full attention "We were playing hide and seek at Kyuhyun's, right?" he briefly asked for a confirmation of details from Siwon and, upon receiving a slight nod, he went on: "Kyuhyun was hiding in his parent's closet and soon after Jiwon, who had seen him running upstairs, followed him and they hid together..."

"...he had just run everywhere and was heavily panting. I don't know what it got into me and I leaned in for a quick peck! That's it!" considered the long time taken by Yesung, who loved decorating his tales with rich details, Jiwon preferred to cut it off and end the story with her own version, the most reliable at that point "I didn't want his being noisy to be the reason for us to get caught right after starting the game, that's all" she sighed in the end, quite nervous.

Ryeowook didn't know what to say.

He nodded, keeping his seemingly poker face, but then tried to relieve the embarrassing silence with a forced laugh, smacking Kyuhyun's thigh twice, the second time being the strongest, before unnoticeably pinching him, to which the young boyfriend winced a little and jerked on his right side, questioning with furrowed brows Ryeowook's strange behavior. The other three didn't notice the little fight and just kept on heartily laughing at the old story.

The pianist didn't give him any importance, he didn't even look at Kyuhyun, pretending to hold a little grudge, and downed a bit too dangerously his margarita in two full gulps.

"Be careful!" Kyuhyun told him, massagging his thigh with the palm of his hand.

"I'm gonna get another one...or two" he announced, standing up and walking to the bar.

Standing on his own, waiting for the bartender to mix colorful alcoholic liquids in his glasses, Ryeowook couldn't help but clutch the fluffy fabric of his jumper at the height of his heart, wanting to calm down the rushing pace of it that seemed not to leave him alone, touched by a strange disquietness.

He felt very pathetic for giving too much importance to a little peck occured almost twenty years before, when he still didn't know Kyuhyun nor would have ever imagined of meeting the man on his path. The pianist still didn't want to admit the fact that, ignoring Kyuhyun's life in its every aspect did bother him very much, especially because he claimed to own Kyuhyun and viceversa. He felt empty for certain ways, as if he wasn't considered special enough, worthy enough to be Kyuhyun's only confidant, even for small, stupid, useless things like those.

He watched the bartender's swift moves while this one distributed both refilled glasses on the silver veined black marble bar, and in the end Ryeowook thought the better of those drinks and began washind them down one after the other, desperately hoping for finding a way to forget what he had just heard.

The younger man opposite him looked at Ryeowook with eyes full of surprise, when the pianist extended both arms to ask for the third refillment. It was his work though, and he probably had witnessed many other people behaving just like Ryeowook, and perhaps even worse than him while trying to use alcohol as an excuse to find a little bit of comfort from life's wrongdoings.

And alcohol seemed to sort its desired effects, because Ryeowook walked again to the group of friends with a new kind of dumb smile printed on his lips, and soon after settling down two mixed vodka cocktails (an unbearably sweeter blueberry flavored and a sourer lime one), he kind of stumbled on his feet, but luckily dived right into Kyuhyun's arms, as he had already reached the couches.

"Hey!" Kyuhyun exclaimed as he held Ryeowook in both his arms and felt his face snuggle on his jumper, trying to find shelter "What's wrong?"

"I love you, that's what's wrong..." Ryeowook innocently mumbled, displaying his reddish tinted cheeks, and Kyuhyun could get notes of different kind of spices and fruits in his lover's breath: mint, strawberry, apricot...each one clearly distinguishable, if not for the alcoholic background that soaked both his mouth and was now contaminating his clothes.

"How come is that wrong?" Kyuhyun was diligently Ryeowook's hair and talked in a low gentle blow, audible just by the two of them, softened by the sight of his clearly drunk lover, even if a point of anger was creeping in all his affection, since he knew that Ryeowook wasn't really able to endure it yet tried his best, always failing and risking to harm himself.

At that point Ryeowook quit giving him spoken replies and just childishly began to pout against Kyuhyun's soft jumper, making him tenderly smile.

"Kyu..." Siwon tried to get his friend's attention and called his name. He spoke in a very low hiss, almost looking as if he knew that his upcoming words were risky to be pronounced, as if they might have irritated the other man for sure. Kyuhyun lifted his loving stare from his half-dizzy boyfriend, still glued to his warm chest, and took a look at Siwon, giving him leave to speak further.

"Kyu, I want to... I want to pay a visit to Ahra. May I do that?" ha asked in the end, not hiding his inescurity about being given either a positive or a negative reply.

Kyuhyun looked startled at the mention of his late sister's name, and even Ryeowook, who seemed to be temporary knocked out by alcohol, looked quite puzzled and held his breath, trying to predict his lover's answer in his foggy mind.

Another thing that Ryeowook had been told about Siwon is that the latter one had always been secretly in love with Ahra. He was totally dragged in his one-sided feeling for the little girl, that he even asked his mother to arrange something that looked similar to a marriage to be held once both the children were to come of age.

Ryeowook had even replied with a scoff, clearly stating his position against pre-arranged unions as, according to him, they were the result of ancient traditions that didn't apply well with the surrounding high speed growing world. But then again, what was there to accuse that same world for still allowing pre-arranged marriages, if it didn't cope well with same-gender relationships? The world was growing, appearing understanding and open-minded, but it was only the sad covering facade of a truly scarier core.

So, Ahra and Siwon were matched together after strong persistence from the little boy, who was scared that she might have abandoned him sooner or later. Siwon's mother had always worked in the field, since she used to own a couple-matchmaking agency and knew many tricks, therefore she managed to persuade Kyuhyun's parents to sign the agreement, pointing out the eventual advantages that the future bond would have brought to both families, and it was known to be mainly a monetary issue.

Ahra was clearly against that farce, defending her teenager freedom of choice. She believed in true love and wanted to gather experience instead of being trapped by a little guy's stubborn whim, since she didn't even like him. Her parents, despite signing the contract -it was more due to the fact that they hoped Siwon's mother would have stopped being such a nuisance- told her to patiently wait and not to pay that piece of paper any attention. She had to live her life as if that agreement didn't exist, because they would have always supported her, no matter what, especially if she found herself a nice man -other than Siwon- to marry and with whom live her life in total happiness.

But Siwon, not knowing any of this, sincerely grieved for the dead girl upon discovering the sad happening, and Kyuhyun, aware of his genuine feelings, couldn't do anything if not allow him to visit her grave, as he deserved. Well, Ahra might not have been totally against meeting an old friend...

Ryeowook's light, happy and bouncy spirit clicked better and brought him to drift in and out of sleep, still clinged onto Kyuhyun, holding his arms around this one's waist, feeling his eyelids getting heavier, as they slowly blinked, giving him this exahusted look that Kyuhyun, while keeping on chatting with his friends, didn't even notice. Not until Jiwon, lightly chuckling as soon as she saw Ryeowook peacefully sleeping, pointed out the fact and Kyuhyun tried to gently shake him in order to wake him up.

Since Ryeowook just stirred in the man's arms but didn't show any intention of waking up -or better, he was trying with all his willpower to fight against that weariness, faking his sleep, in order to get other little excerpts of Kyuhyun's past that he might have missed- Kyuhyun just sighed and adjusted him more comfortably in his embrace, wanting to stay a little bit more: "He's not that used to drinking, why he needs to push himself over his limits, I will never know!" he explained, Ryeowook's back up and down, before directing his look over to Siwon: "We'll go home soon, but tell me what happened to you two, before we go" Kyuhyun looked at the two almost identical sibilings from behind his transparent glass, curious to know more about what was their life like.

Siwon's look of the face changed to a more serious one as he slightly bent his head down and held his forehead, rubbing one thumb against his right temple: "Well..." he exchanged a look of concern with his sister, as if what he was about to say could have further troubled her "...we lived well in Hong Kong until the past month, when we came back to Korea"

"Our father passed away then..." Jiwon's soft voice explained in a low blow after a minute-long silence.

The other two friends looked very much saddened about the news, and even Ryeowook, who was dealing with his being slightly drunk, unnoticeably stiffened. He silently listened to the conversation, curious, while at the same time he was focused on Kyuhyun's steady heartbeat pounding in his ear.

"He commited suicide, actually" Siwon took his sister's hand in his and squeezed it, wanting to share a bit of his strength with the young woman. Those words looked so hurtful as they scratched their way out from the inner walls of his throat. "He had greatly indebted the company, which in the meanwhile had spread across Asia, and commited fraud, therefore, not bearing with the shame, he thought it was easier leaving this way, not before trying to gain back some of the money by gambling at various casinos...another failed plan"

"Debts?" Yesung asked, quite worried "What will you do now?"

Siwon looked particularly not at ease with his upcoming words and tried to speak carefully: "Actually, I've just sold the holdings to my associated, the one whose place is being projected by Kyuhyun's company. We talked about it and he'd be able to bring it to new life, while I can't, he's got more funds than I do at the moment. That's why I was in a hurry today, I had to get it done before it could have harmed my family" he explained, aware that his sister's wide, shocked eyes were all around himself.

"You did what?" she exclaimed, much agitated, while pulling Siwon's sleeve in disbelief.

"I had to, Jiwon!" Siwon sighed in distress, looking briefly at the ceiling, trying to avoid the scolding that was about to arrive "It was needed, before it was too late!"

"You didn't tell us anything!" she insisted, looking extremely troubled "You know how mum will more likely to react, right?"

"Jiwon, please..." Siwon tried to calm her down. Looking at the worried stares from his two other friends, he looked as if he didn't want to bear with a sudden reason of embarrassment "...let's talk about it at home, okay? This is not the right place"

"Kyu?" Ryeowook, basically done with all the ruckus and wanting to leave as soon as possible before things could have heated further, suddenly purred in Kyuhyun's arms, drawing come circles on the man's chest, asking for being noticed "Kyu Kyu? Can I have one more drink?" he playfully asked then, with lucid puppy eyes as he stretched towards Kyuhyun's own alcoholic beverage, knowing that Kyuhyun wasn't likely to agree with that. He wanted to make his younger boyfriend understand that it was time to go back home.

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes: "Forget about it!" he scoffed, annoyed, stressing each word soon after finishing his last sip of red Cabernet. He got rid of the empty glass, leaving it on the table, and said: "You're already quite drunk, I didn't even keep an eye on you! Exactly, how many different cocktails did you mix?" he was trying to hold Ryeowook seated instead of having him slipping down on his lap.

"Argh, I think we should head home right now" he suggested, rocking a little bit Ryeowook in his arms as this one chuckled by himself and snuggled closer: "You're evil, Kyu Kyu!" one hiccup interrupted his fake nonsense. Kyuhyun thought that Ryeowook couldn't handle alcohol...well, lovers didn't have to really know each other's weaknesses, right?

The truth was that Ryeowook was perfectly fine with it, however he used it as a mean to have Kyuhyun constantly checking upon him, which was what he liked the best.

"Yeah, okay, I am evil as you say..." this one nodded and agreed, playing his game.

The night was slowly getting a quite sad turnover then. Jiwon was still trying to get some words out of Siwon, whom had to play on the defense line, and Ryeowook was pretending to pass out due to his questionable inability of enduring alcohol.

Kyuhyun sighed as he got up and tried to support Ryeowook's not so heavy weight, thoroughly scanning in his mind the various possibilities that pushed his lover over his own limits. Then he took a look at Yesung, who was the only one that had pretty much fun while chitchatting, and he understood. Kyuhyun smirked at the thought of his ideas being correct, but nonetheless flashed his friend with an unpleasant stare.

He was starting to suppose that Ryeowook had been caught in a fist of jealousy after discovering of the little kiss occured in his childhood.

"I'm sorry to leave you all. Even though it's only 1am, I need to take care of my boyfriend or he will more likely begin confessing to random people, or cry, or reveal intimate things about us" Kyuhyun blushed for the last hypothesis "Let's get in touch guys! And, today's round is on Yesung, therefore go ahead and get some more drinks, okay?" he grinned at his older friend, whose jaw dropped in disbelief upon hearing that he was treating, and waved at the sibilings, dragging Ryeowook upstairs and then in the chilly night air.

Ryeowook jolted in Kyuhyun's arms while feeling the freezing air sharp on his red, hot cheeks, and tried to tuck his neck back inside the collar of his coat, hiding his nose behind the knitted scarf, not caring to whine and whimper while being conducted towards the car: "Kyu! It's cold! I want to go home!"

"We're going home, baby" Kyuhyun smiled. He opened the passenger's seat door and helped him get in, before fastening the man's seatbelt "Don't wriggle! I'm not tickling you!" Ryeowook laughed and laughed, feeling Kyuhyun's hands roaming over his body and thinking that his lover was already into his playful mode "Naughty Kyu!" he breathed, and the air let out from his throat dissolved into mist.

Kyuhyun heartily laughed along. His boyfriend was normally cute, but he was right when he said that he was even cuter while totally drunk. He cupped Ryeowook's right cheek and leaned in for a quick peck on his lips, not bothering the strong, bitter and fruity taste of alcohol.

He left him, secured the door, got in on the opposite side to slowly drive back home, and after a while he safely reached their destination.

The younger man was already fiddling with Ryeowook's seatbelt, in order to free the man from the seat and take him inside, walking those few meters of pebbled walkway from the gate to the main entrance with Ryeowook carried on his back.

"I love you" Ryeowook knew he had to act his part well if he wanted to be believed, and thus started his usual known random confessions "I love you, Kyu" his hands had left Kyuhyun's neck and were getting inside this one's coat, trying to sneak inside the warm spot.

Kyuhyun jerked a little bit, surprised by the sudden touch and had to firmly grip the stairs railing to prevent a fall: "Be quiet!" he laughed and resumed his climb towards their bedroom. He gently rested Ryeowook on the floor, proceeding to take his boyfriend's coat off this one: "Get in bed and behave, I'll take these downstairs and be right back to you, okay?"

Ryeowook pouted in the dim light and rubbed his eyes, this time truly yawning...after a while pretending to be asleep, it could dangerously make one really craving for a good rest. Kyuhyun smiled at the childish-like reaction he was watching, but forced himself out of the room with both their coats folded on one arm.

When he came back, he found Ryeowook sitting cross-legged on the bed, wearing only his crumpled white shirt, half ed to show his pearly neck skin and collarbone -not to mention part of his chest- and Kyuhyun stopped, frozen by the beautiful sight of his pouting, sleepy lover, messily ruffling his own hair and looking terribly like a figment of pure imagination.

He didn't care if Ryeowook had thrown his discarded clothes everywhere around the room. It happened if he was truly tired, opposite to his mania of cleanliness and neatly arranging things. Kyuhyun could fogive him, because on that moment Ryeowook looked too good to be true, defenseless and breathtakingly beautiful, even when soaked in his blueberry, apricot, strawberry, lime and mint alcohol scent.

He didn't care while quickly undressing himself and following that trail of scent right on the bed, where he knelt with only his underwear on, terribly tempted to painfully and slowly eat his man and savour those fruits, wanting to take on the challenge to distinguish each flavor on Ryeowook's tongue.

Ryeowook brought both his arms down to his sides, playing with the cover and sliding his fingers back and forth, apparently shy, until Kyuhyun, who had entered his bed, entoured the man's shoulders with his arms and slowly brought him inside as well, next to him, and made him lay on his chest.

"Kyu?" Ryeowook called his name "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, baby. Everything you want to know" Kyuhyun kissed Ryeowook's vanilla scented soft hair, as he sat against the pillows and slowly massagged his hips under the light fresh fabric of this one's shirt.

"Did you...did you like Jiwon? I mean, back then?" he wasn't slurring his words anymore. This time he was trying to free himself from a heavy weight on his chest.

Kyuhyun laughed then, and Ryeowook felt his man's hot chest rising and falling in a faster way against his back: "I knew it..." he commented in a sweet whisper. His left hand parted from Ryeowook's hip and ran through this one's hair, flipping away his straight fringe from the man's sight, clearing his forehead "I knew you were bothered" he said after another kiss on his hair.

Ryeowook bent his head, feeling a bit too shameful for behaving that way, but he needed to know. He needed to know that Jiwon wasn't his first princess, that he actually had no other person to cherish in his heart before he came along. He needed to know or... well, he didn't want to think of something else.

Kyuhyun tucked his own chin and tilted his head forwards, bending it to reach Ryeowook's ear and whispered again: "What if I let you answer on my behalf? Will you be able?"

The pianist shut his eyes, frowned and swallowed hard, grimacing and shaking his head in dissent: "I fear you'll say something I don't want to hear" he shyly admitted, hoping that Kyuhyun couldn't hear him enough.

"Why don't we forget about this, then? Wouldn't it be easier?" Kyuhyun was chaining Ryeowook's body against his, strongly holding him around his waist, and his lips had reached the upper side of his jawline, aiming at travelling further down, hoping that Ryeowook would turn his head to accept a kiss.

However this one dodged his wanting lips and moved his head on the right side, turning to completely avoid Kyuhyun: "Please..." he asked, whimpering and looking sad "...don't keep me hanging!"

"Would I be here in different circumstances?" Kyuhyun replied with the nth question, which sounded even more elusive and terribly pissed Ryeowook off. He wriggled then, trying to part from Kyuhyun's arms, because this one didn't understand the contagious pain in his heart. He said he knew that Ryeowook was bothered, but why didn't he even try his best to comfort him?

"Let me go" Ryeowook asked again, feeling the urge to cry because all he could hear was Kyuhyun's soft laughter muffled against his shoulder, and felt the man's grip tightening while all he wanted to do was roll on his hip and keep his back to his lover all the night through. Finally, he needed some personal space.

"Ryeowook, stop being so childish and delusional! I know you've got your mind completely obscured by alcohol, but don't provoke me!" Kyuhyun had stopped playing right when he noticed the man's annoying whimpering tone of voice getting stronger and almost unbearable "Don't tease me, I hate when you cry for nothing! Can't you understand that those were games from our childhood? It doesn't mean anything!"

"Then why did you keep it from me?! It was a kiss, you first kiss, damn!" Ryeowook hopped up and turned in Kyuhyun's arms, settling his knees on either sides of his boyfriend's right thigh, sitting on it as he pushed his hands on Kyuhyun's bare chest: "Am I not worth of knowing your precious childhood memories? Why don't you share your life with me?!" he pleaded, his high pitch rising uncontrollably.

"She was just trying to shut me up, for God's sake, Ryeowook! She didn't kiss me!" Kyuhyun fought back, firmly grabbing the pianist's upper arms and shaking him back and forth, wanting to put some lost sense into his mind with those swinging moves.

"She liked you Kyuhyun, how can you be so sure?!"

"She was eight and didn't understand anything of how the world truly spins or works! Nobody can at that age! I was clueless myself, you probably were too back then!"

"What about the princess thing, then?!" Ryeowook hissed, blinded by jealousy. Why wasn't Kyuhyun reassuring him? Why wasn't he doing his boyfriend's duty and tell him that he didn't need to worry? Too many questions about that strange behavior were hitting Ryeowook's mind, inflicting a deeper pain.

Then again, maybe he was only over-reacting. It was childhood, and kids were young and free and careless...perhaps he was right...

"Haven't you ever seen kids playing among themselves? Pretending to be kings and queens and brave knights, running around, falling on the hard ground, scratching knees and rolling in the dirt? We did it as well, but just because Jiwon was our princess, it doesn't mean that I liked her! She was the only girl among us, what did you expect? That she could play the role of the errand boy and get ordered here and there?" Kyuhyun's rushed words were hitting him right in the heart. Right, right, right. It all made sense and Ryeowook knew it...it just felt somehow required to have further reassurances.

And he bit his lip in remorse for being that insecure, for always needing comfort, for not fully trusting him, for being devoured by million doubts, for not being adult enough, despite his age...

"Didn't you play with other kids of your same age when you were younger?" Kyuhyun noticed the surging pain that Ryeowook was trying hard to fight, it appeared clear as it manifested through transparent tears beading stuck in his lashes. He lowered his voice, and resumed his caresses on Ryeowook's wet cheeks, wiping those tears away with both his thumbs, gently pressing under the curves of his hurt dark eyes and, motioning on the outer sides, he fingertips on his sharp cheekbones.

Ryeowook loudly sobbed and sniffled once, shaking head in deny: "I...I was alone and only had my piano. I've always only had my piano and nothing else"

Blinded by Ryeowook's own pain, bitter by all the resentment he felt for knowing little of his lover's hurtful moments, Kyuhyun couldn't think straight anymore. His heart raced as if to win a marathon against time, just...his challenge was now comforting his lover the best way he could. He cupped the pianist's cheeks once again and held his face firmly while leaning in and looking for his lips, finding those plump soft lines with his own and finally savouring the appealing taste.

Ryeowook gasped, taken aback by the sudden movement, that he accidentally parted his lips and allowed Kyuhyun's tongue to slip in and his sticky one, sharing a deep kiss, hunting for answers and handing them out. Ryeowook was melting when he felt his boyfriend's palms sliding down his jaw, grazing his slender neck, just to move back up to slip through his hair and get a steady hold of himself.

He had asked questions, and Kyuhyun was replying to them all in his own unique way, taking the chance to taste the warm mouth that he loved. And there they were: blueberry, strawberry, apricot, lime and mint, mixed all together yet definitely distinguishable one from the other. Kyuhyun had to part once and his own lips to be sure of having just recognized mixed berries on the tip of his tongue.

Ryeowook opened his mouth to talk, but Kyuhyun once again, and more fiercely, owned his mouth, convinced to be able to tell the remaining flavors apart, stung in his pride if he couldn't. He took Ryeowook's last breath away, while moving passionately and those walls and his lover's complice tongue, setting a leading pace that the other man couldn't help but obediently follow. His moan betrayed how much he truly liked being subject to Kyuhyun's insolence, each time growing bigger and more impatient. His shut eyes just let go of some leftover tears, which rolled down his cheeks and ended up on Kyuhyun's wrists, marking on that skin the end of that little pointless argument, while he succumbed to the umpteenth proof of undying love.

"Is this...enough?" Kyuhyun broke the kiss and whispered, quite difficultly as he tried to get his breath back "This is...a kiss..." he explained, his thumbs against Ryeowook's cheekbones and, keeping eyes closed, gently rested his forehead on his lover's.

Totally dumbstruck, Ryeowook couldn't do much besides panting very quickly, trying to find the right words to describe what had just happened. Not managing to, he lifted his gaze and locked it with Kyuhyun's, being swallowed up in those big bright dark eyes, and he unkowingly blushed hard while grazing his own abused lips under the soft tips of his fingers.

Kyuhyun moved his arms and placed his hands again on his boyfriend's hips, this time over the shirt, but still firmly holding them, while he was bending towards Ryeowook and nuzzled inside the tear of his shirt, brushing his lips on the man's cleavage and trying to leave long pecks all around this one's chest.

"I want you only. I desperately need you with me, Ryeowook... more than the air I breath, and if you doubt it again, you leave me no choice but to be very disappointed in you" Kyuhyun told him in the middle of his little kisses on his warm skin.

Upon not receiving a reply, he moved away, backwards, to check on Ryeowook; the latter one stil didn't know what to say, feeling guilty for doubting. Stupid doubts, stupid fears, stupid insecurity! He had so much to learn from Kyuhyun, who was living a difficult situation with his parents, but always found the needed strength to clear his million thoughts with great patience and affection "Did my kiss make you realize that, now?" Kyuhyun asked again "Everyone loves you. My friends love you, Zhou Mi loves you, your students love you, Siwon and Jiwon as well! They were happy to meet you. And, last but not least, I love you. Also, quite a bit too madly, to be honest..." he laughed at himself, pretty embarrassed.

And Ryeowook then simply pushed him to lay down in bed, feeling once again the covers being pulled by Kyuhyun and hovering on his back, to gently position themselves on his shoulders and wrap him in a warm embrace, which always resulted to be somehow colder than Kyuhyun's actual one though.

He nuzzled under Kyuhyun's crook of the neck, slowly reassured, and nodded, humming in reply, having his messy hair to tickle Kyuhyun's jawline.

"Look, sunshine. It's not that I didn't want to tell you about it, it's just that I had completely forgotten about Siwon and Jiwon, you have to believe me!" Kyuhyun then softly grabbed the hand Ryeowook had just rested, in a loose fist, on his bare right shoulder. He gently clutched it in his own hand and stayed in that position, holding his boyfriend while this one looked for a warm shelter under his neck.

Ryeowook sighed: Kyuhyun could be said of being tricky, teasing, naughty, snarky and pretty conceited, but he surely couldn't lie when saying that he often forgot things. He was constantly reminded of birthdays, celebrations, and even work appointments were at risk, if he didn't organize lots of reminders everywhere to be seen, or better not ignored.

He believed his younger lover for saying that he had forgotten about those two people. They could be friends, sure, but when friendship wasn't nurtured for long time then it simply faded away, just like any other human relationship.

"Plus, I don't consider those memories as somewhat precious. They were just...games" Kyuhyun drew in a long sigh himself, aware that Ryeowook was silently calming down from his pointless tears. It always broke his heart to look at Ryeowook crying, whatever the reason could be, therefore the more he could avoid those situations, the happier both of them were with one another "I am not of the idea that, telling you might improve our bond or whatever. I just want to share with you important things, those that you absolutely need to know about me, and you know everything already, I'm an open book for you, right?"

The man had just slipped his thumb under Ryeowook's curled fingers, squeezing the hand he held in his as if to signal that he wanted to receive an answer to that question, and even if he didn't get one, Kyuhyun just pulled the man's arm and brought the hand before his lips. With the most respectful gentleness he could have ever shown, Kyuhyun began to plant some pecks on that hand: "Why are you so cold?" he asked, not interrupting his moves though.

"You need to keep your hands warmer, baby. It's important for you!" Kyuhyun left Ryeowook's back and stretched to reach the man's hand with both his arms. He rubbed it between his warmer ones for a while and then he decided to blow his hot breath on it, which resulted to work very well.

"Aren't you feeling nauseous after drinking that much?" curiosity struck Kyuhyun, and he voiced that silent question right when Ryeowook was shifting position and stretched both his legs under covers, having his left one between Kyuhyun's as he laid on the ever hot bare chest of his boyfriend.

He hummed something that sounded more like a "no" and pressed his cheek on Kyuhyun's skin, feeling it so comfortable...that was why he loved to use the man as his pillow.

"What do I always tell you? Mixing alcohol is not safe! Look at me, I like socially drinking, but if I pick one thing then I stick with it all through the end" Kyuhyun suddenly turned to the expert he was, when it came to drinks and cocktails: "What did you have?"

"Mhm" Ryeowook hummed again, mentally listing what he had drunk and enjoyed before "Two margaritas and three or four vodka cocktails, I don't remember them all"

"Your margaritas were the strawberry ones, right?" the young man asked, still in the middle of warming Ryeowook up, and this one nodded again, before asking why the other man was curious to know.

"I was rather hypnotized by the strawberry you in your lips. I honestly wanted to be dealing with the same unlucky chance" he grinned in the darkness, making Ryeowook loudly giggle for stressing the word "unlucky", when in truth they both knew which kind of allusion Kyuhyun was referring to.

"Maybe next time we can buy the necessary ingredients to make an homemade margarita and a whole lot of strawberries" Ryeowook suggested, wanting to kick back the naughty statement to Kyuhyun "I might know one or two tricks when it comes to food..." he mumbled in the end, as innocently as ever.

Kyuhyun held him tight in his arms and with a swift move rolled them both on a side. Chuckling, Ryeowook tilted his head backwards and felt the ticklish lips he loved teasing his skin, running on his stretched neck and along an exposed little vein. He sunk his cheek in his pillow while his fingers were curling on Kyuhyun's shoulders, losing their grip and slowly slipping down on the man's collarbone because Kyuhyun was too focused on devouring Ryeowook with his pecks, that this one couldn't help but laugh and move at each pleasant touch, accompanied by low and playful growls from the other younger man.

"See?" Kyuhyun emerged from Ryeowook's chest and looked into the man's eyes for a minute that seemed to last forever. He had a lightly laboured breath for having just moved quickly from one inch of skin to the other, but that didn't prevent him to voice out his satisfaction: "I don't care about princesses, as long as I can have a prince like you, Ryeonggu"

...and once again, as if in an already successful tested good night routine, loving words were whispered in the night, and the usual were processed on the pianist's back in slow, soothing circles, aimed at instilling in that hurt soul a bit more of confidence: about himself, about the world, about his love...

---ooo---

She sat at the vanity table, empty transfixed eyes apparently looking down at the neatly ordered row of skin lotions, perfumed creams and make up tools, while her hands moved in automatic up and down as she combed her loose long straight hair before heading to bed.

The door clicked open then and a familiar figure entered the room.

A tall man in a dark tracksuit bottom and white t-shirt just sat on the bed and stared for pretty long the girl's back; the soft noise of the rustled covers didn't wake her up from that sort of self-infliced hypnosis, however she noticed the man's presence when, finally ending her hands motion, she lifted hek a look at the mirror before her eyes.

She turned then and stood up, grabbing a little round pot of lip balm to apply on her dry lips. She slided her finger with the slippery cream just as automatically as she had just done while combing her hair, but this time she looked as if she could understand what was more likely to be happening next.

"Do you want to talk?" the man asked softly, rubbing his neck a bit too embarrassed.

The girl sighed and walked to the same side of the bed where the man sat. Looking rather stiff and unwilling, she nodded a little bit though and gave her consent for a heart to heart chat.

"Siwon" she said, addressing the other man "you gave me a bad news today."

"I know. It's the same for me" Siwon nodded, bending his head and keeping his stare low, not wanting to confront the girl "Jiwon, how do you think I'm feeling right now, for selling dad's comapny?"

Jiwon didn't reply, she just stared elsewhere.

"Try to get yourself in my shoes. We might have risked to drown in our father's debts and, as the leader of our family, I won't let you live dealing with struggles to survive"

"You did it the same" Jiwon accused him "Without consulting us"

"Don't tell me you're now so used to luxury, that you can't even try to live a quieter and more humble life...not just like mum!"

Jiwon quickly turned to her older brother, flashing him with a bad stare, which wasn't strong enough to contain her furious tears. She wanted to free herself from that burning burden and soon those watery pearls rolled down her cheeks, definitely taking aback Siwon: "I can do it, I swear Siwon! I can do it, I'm not as greedy as our mother. I can live my life in a quiet way, since I don't need much, unlike her. But..."

Siwon, disturbed by the sight of his loved sister bursting into tears, tried to lean towards her and grab her hands in a reassuring hold, but she doged his movements and quickly stood up: "I can do it. I don't care if we lost all our fortune, but now I don't really know how I'm gonna raise him..." she said, her tears flowing more violently, increasing just like her desperate tone of voice.

Siwon didn't seem to understand what she was trying to say, but the girl, noticed the questioning, guilty frown from her brother, opened again , this time letting out a quivering thread of words: "I'm...I'm pregnant...and I don't know what to do now"

The man immediately widened his eyes at the news, but it surely wasn't time for being shocked or whatever, he quickly stood up as well and reached his sister, wrapping her in a warm brotherly embrace, as his strong hand held the woman's head down on his shoulder, shielding and protecting her from the dangers of the world.

"If I were alone then, I could have looked for a job and take care of myself, but now? Your job at the orphanage isn't enough to sustain all the three of us right now, what will happen when I'll have the baby? Raising a child is so difficult and, let's face the truth, it's not cheap!" she kept on talking from her brother's wet shoulder, muffling some louder cries against his t-shirt fabric.

"Are you...are you sure you want to keep it?" the man stuttered, pretty unsure of the cruel words he was letting free from his mouth, in fact Jiwon began to throw some light but repetitive fists on his chest, gritting teeth in an angry grimace: "How can you ask me such a thing?! This child is all what's left from loving Soohyun with all my heart! I won't get myself rid of him just because I'm now officially a poor mother-to-be!"

Siwon bit his lips, aware that his words were too much. He was also aware of the fact that Jiwon wouldn't have allowed anyone to talk her into abort the baby. She said it herself: the baby was an unexpected last gift -or was it better choosing other words to describe him, considered their new financial status- from the only man she had dearly loved more than herself. A man named Soohyun, whom she met while studying at the arts faculty of the Hong Kong university.

He was one fine man, one of those sunshine-like, always smiling and caring, even during bad times, because those were the moments in which he was challenged to look out for the hidden light and cling onto a last hope to fight darkness. He was so contagious with his carefree happiness and positiveness, not to mention that he was one of those everlasting misunderstood street artists, as he always brought along a sketchbook and a set of pencils, in order to draw whichever interesting thing he might have bumped into. Drawings were his unique way to take a static picture on the world's growing, fast changing features and he hoped, one day, to be able to share his views with people all around the world.

Jiwon wasn't supposed to pursue arts. Coming from an enriched family that wanted to present both their sons with the best future, Jiwon's mother wanted her to become the right heiress to her father's company, since Siwon...well Siwon had successfully escaped the suffocating, threatening hold the mother had constantly kept on him and he had begun teaching to little kids, which was what he loved the best. However, spoiled the first choice, Jiwon couldn't be allowed to do as she wished and she was pushed into difficult management studies and meetings.

It was after years of endless attempts, that she managed to convice her mother to attend some afternoon classes, as a hobby. And in front of an empty painting, drawing the initial soft lines of lead, she noticed the man sitting on her side, leaning on her project, smiling while handing her a pencil sharpner because she had almost worn out her point.

One tender look was enough to make them both fall in love at first sight; one love, theirs, that had lived in great secrecy but at its fullest, endangered by the traditionalist views of the girl's mother, who thought that "rich people marry among themselves, not low beings".

Literal words, hers, used to describe the young painter, who wasn't surely worth what Jiwon was, according the the woman; though she perhaps had already erased from her mind those memories of a past, that wanted her to be just one of the many classical housewives of Seoul's outskirts, a simple woman tending to a simple family and living a normal life filled with essential love, even though she now labelled all that as "low being".

Soohyun had endured all the dirty tricks, his positiveness being seriously called into question whenever he thought of giving up on run away. In many occasions he thought of escaping and setting himself free from such a relationship, but one look at his sweet Jiwon was enough to change his mind...until he truly left, and succumbed to what Jiwon's mother had always asserted: only the richest could stand to the very last. And Soohyun had finally understood that all his plans, all his dreams, all his projects needed a financial support, thus his choice to leave an impossible yet mutual love with Jiwon, to pursue a colder and one-sided affection that another quite rich girl had manifested for him throughout the university years. Unlike Jiwon, she could offer him a steady relationship and provided money to support all his projects. Soohyun couldn't refuse and Jiwon had to understand.

Left with no other choice, Jiwon couldn't now refuse to give her unconditional love to that man's unborn son. If there was one thing that she had sworn to herself, a promise that she wanted to keep at all costs, it probably was that she didn't intend to look even a tiny bit like her own mother in front of a future son. She would have been understanding and supportive, loving and caring and no one could have doubted her deep love. Siwon was no one to be asking her to change mind, he couldn't or else he would have ended up being just like their horrible, heartless mother.

"Shhh, shhh...it's gonna be alright!" Siwon shushed her and rocked his sister in his strong embrace "We'll give either this little prince or princess whathever needed to be happy and loved in this world, trust me, Jiwon. I'll never let anyone hurt you or the baby, okay?"

He promised, without even considering that a very high chance of incurring into danger hid just around the corner...as their mother was holding her breath, silently eavesdropping the entire conversation from just some inches farther left on the slightly opened bedroom door.

The woman shook her head in disapprovement before padding her feet away from the hallway.

A/N: another chapter's up! It's not very Kyuwook centered, but I needed something to introduce Siwon and Jiwon's characters and background stories. Everything you read here might give you hints on what will probably happen next..kk

So, lesson n°2: we learned that everyone loves Ryeowook (especially Kyuhyun, why do I even bother to repeat it? xD), but his insecurity -even though temporary pushed away since those times he was alone without anybody to love- is slowly creeping back. Plus, they seem to be really supported in their love story, right? It's not about being delusional or shocked by it, but you know...the world is a trcky and dangerous place, and Ryeowook knows it very well, since he had always been betrayed by close people. Should he truly be this cautious and distrust whoever looks supportive and friendly, or is this another overreactions of his?

For every other kind of impressions or thoughts, just leave your comments below! ^^ I don't feel that loved, honestly T_T ...even though I know that this might not be that attractive right now, anyway, since I know how this story will develop further and get its end, I won't stop writing, because I feel this big wish of being able to read actual words describing those scenarios that have been playing and replaying in my head for months now. ^^ Stay tuned to discover what will happen next, okay? xxx

I might have the habit of reading comments before start reading a story and well this time I was dubious about Kyuhyun's love and devotion towards Ryeowook, but after completing this fic, I don't think that Kyuhyun is in any way undeserving of Ryeowook. I admit that in the prequel, despite his grief, Kyuhyun was a big jerk, but here, it's not his fault for things turning out the way they did. It was not his fault for Ryeowook to get and shot. Life is not easy and so is love, it's not entirely bed of roses but full of stones and bricks being thrown at your way, and only a strong love would survive the test of time, and theirs certainly did. I certainly felt Kyuhyun's love for Ryeowook, they deserve no one else but each other. I'm loving the spin off also. I'll wait for the update of your ongoing fics. Much regards.

Chapter 25: Re-read this story.. I am sorry but I did not vote for Kyu ending up with Wookie on this.. He doesn't deserve Wook, I hate him on this fic and probably would be happy if Wook died.. How can he be so stupid?! Why did he had to go to Jiwon when Wook needs him the most.. I agree with Yeye, he's not needed at the hospital.. GRRRRRR.. Or better yet, Wook could've have ended with Zhou Mi.. It would've been ZhouWook..

Chapter 25: this is the one Kyuwook story that I never happy Kyuwook together....kyuhyun totally do not deserve Ryeowook and some more be the parents of jiwons daughter...,though I can understand your plot of Ryeowook being shot but why the part (still cannot accept) and kyuhyun was always the source of all pain and in this story he is the taker and Ryeowook always he giver.....of course we would like and believe that Ryeowook is always an angel but I would rather your story end with angst which goes back to your tagging of this story! Should let kyuhyun stuck with jiwon and the daughter and Ryeowook pays his debt to ahra who died for him 12 years ago!!!

Chapter 25: Kyuhyun is so lucky because he got to have an angel who is Ryeowook by his side. Honestly I always blamed Kyuhyun and thought of him as the source of all of Ryeowook's miseries and I believed that their love just keeps on bringing more pain in Wook's life. Seeing how Ryeowook suffered over and over because of events Kyuhyun mostly involved in made me sad. There was times that I was like 'No, Not again, He had enough' but that displeasure I felt because of all those misfortunes happening to Wook didn't made me stop reading this story, Because I believed that it ought to come to an end finally and it's unfair for him going through all of this and he deserves happiness. I was so eager to know how much more he should pay to get that relief and happiness I believed he deserves and how that happiness is going to come to him. Now I know it and I feel really settled.
Actually your note at the end of the previous and this very last chapter helped me understand things better. It made the things happened throughout this story way more meaningful. I blame Kyu less than before after reading it. But still he's to be blamed for some things. I can't be as forgiving as Ryeowook ^^
Ryeowook's understanding and his wonderful kindness at the end really impressed me. He loves Kyuhyun so freaking much just as Kyu does and he's his happiness but after all the sufferings he got a bonus happiness that is Jiyoon. Ah it's satisfying to see it ends this way. I'm so relieved and happy for them ^_^

Thank you so much for this great fic. It's one of most beautiful fics I've ever read. I'm sorry I couldn't comment that much, I really tried to do but...ugh I hope you forgive me for this, I'm going to compensate and write more comments on your other fics.

Your writing style is beautiful just as your stories. Please keep it up. I definitely won't miss any of your works. Good luck with your next and other fics :)

Chapter 25: Ho my.

Ho to say this ? Your whole story was really great to read . I've been following the other too, when Ryeowook was out of Kyuhyun 's life . I like how the characters evolve trough the story .
Ryeowook is such a kind hearted person for all what he have done .
I'm sad about the fact that Jiwon died because of her daughter .But I'm also happy that Kyuwook will have a child for them .
I'm glad that Kyuhyun stayed with Ryeowook instead of her when he was dying. I hope he is aware how lucky he is to have Ryeowook.
Good Job ! !
Ps ;: I loved the way you write when Ryeowook has been shot !
