Bearing Unfair Tricks...

All's Well What Ends...Well?

After the first visit to Kyuhyun's parents, other two meetings occured in the week following the two lovers' arrival in Seoul.

Two meetings that were slowly turning into periodical visits each two days. It couldn't seem possible, due to the harsh way in which Kyuhyun decided to leave, upon seeing his father's conditions for the first time after two years, though Ryeowook was of great help and managed to convice him to lengthen his stay in his former house each day a little bit longer.

Kyuhyun, impatient as he was, at first couldn't endure the sight of his worsening father coughing and dealing with alternate trembles, or his emotional mother, who burst into tears every single time she either set eyes on her grown-up son or loved sick husband. However, as days went by, he tried his best to set aside his anger and, instead, look for a common point to use at his best, in order to make the first step and reach out to his parents again.

Even though it resulted a bit difficult at the beginning, Ryeowook suggested to use old memories from childhood or new stories about his French lifestyle to set a safe area, that would more likely raise interest and curiosity in his parents, and allow his own self to keep calm and relaxed.

And Kyuhyun slowly did as he was told. He didn't even notice that he could actually enjoy quality time with his parents, which was nothing strange, if not considering the greater unfairness that still affected him, as if he had been the one mistreated.

Kyuhyun arranged more and more visits, simply wanting to check up on his father and help him feel better, or because he wanted to taste his favorite dish prepared with much affection by his mother. Whichever the reason, Ryeowook always followed him wherever he went, and didn't fail to observe with exactly how much love his boyfriend was pampered by both elder people. It simply warmed his heart to finally witness him soften to that point.

One day, the younger man didn't even question the sudden call from his mother, who wanted to invite her son and Ryeowook to an afternoon tea that she had promised to organize, to welcome back some old acquaintances of her.

He accepted right away.

Looking extremely fine in a new set of clothes that he wanted to display so bad in front of his mother, Kyuhyun couldn't hide his enthusiasm when he got ready to leave with his boyfriend, headed to the familiar house in which he had grown up.

"Why are you feeling that high and bouncy?" Ryeowook asked in a smile, while sitting next to Kyuhyun in the car, as this one stopped at a traffic light and couldn't refrain from humming a happy tune all along.

Kyuhyun shrugged without leaving his hands from the steering wheel.

"I swear, if you weren't tied to your seat by the safety belt, you'd probably dance!" Ryeowook laughed, placing his hand on Kyuhyun's, while this one grinned at him after turning head in his lover's direction.

"You know that I hate dancing, but perhaps you're right...though, I can't find the words to explain why I'm this happy" Kyuhyun smiled and smiled, contagious and rather dumb-looking.

"It doesn't matter, as long as you feel good within yourself. It's actually rather appeasing looking at your smile." Ryeowook told him "You're beautiful, whenever you do" although Kyuhyun was about to shift gears and begin to drive again, the older man quickly leaned to his left side and pecked Kyuhyun's cheek.

"Too many undeserved compliments" Kyuhyun scoffed, ready to listen to the opposite in a matter of seconds. And there it went.

"It's not true. You're beautiful, Kyu" Ryeowook whispered again with his words full of affection.

His boyfriend pouted very lightly while trying to think of something to say, but a corner of his mouth immediately curved into a pleased grin as he nodded and confirmed: "I know, right? I'm breathtakingly irresistible!"

Ryeowook hit him on a shoulder, careful not to bother him while driving though, but Kyuhyun pretended to wince at the smack: "What? Didn't you just say that I'm beautiful? I'm just confirming it!"

"You big narcissist!" Ryeowook silently scoffed, retracting his hand and grabbing the box he held on his lap, which contained a tray of pastries.

"I heard you..." Kyuhyun told him, keeping his eyes on the busy road.

After a while, silence fell again and the two men were focusing on the demanding lyrics of a heart-breaking ballad song, that had apparently just achieved great results on the most important Korean charts, appointing a rookie five-member-boy group as one of the most promising act of the music industry.

Ryeowook couldn't hold a grin as he recognized young Jonghyun's deep voice through the speakers and hummed along the melody. After debuting as a soloist, Jonghyun was included in a group with other four boys of more or less his age, and showed great potential in the field, which didn't really amaze Ryeowook, since he was his first supporter and coach and perfectly knew the boy's value.

What surprised him the most was that Kyuhyun suddenly switched the radio off, clearing his voice with some coughs. Good thing was that he was in the middle of his drive or probably he'd have gotten too emotional for what he was about to say. Ryeowook couldn't help but share his frown, questioning that behavior.

"Thank you" Kyuhyun's lips parted to let out a blow full of sincerity, that, knowing him, probably costed him quite a lot "Thank you Ryeowook, for not giving up on me..." he began "...for encouraging me to take on this challenge. You're accompanying me throughout this journey to go back to my old self and understand my mistake. This time, I've been given the chance to fix it and I'll not waste it."

The pianist understood what Kyuhyun was talking about just by the look of his lucid eyes, always fixed on the road ahead; or his lips that moved slowly and carefully selected the words to be voiced; or again that quivering low tone he was trying so hard to control, to avoid betraying his nervousness. Kyuhyun was talking about getting once again close to his parents and behave like the filial son he'd always been. Under layers and layers of stubborn anger, he couldn't deny that he actually missed them a lot, and now he was fulfilling his chance to feel the love from his family, though one member was missing.

It didn't matter though, because soon Ryeowook would have taken his legit place in that family portrait. Kyuhyun had just to wait a little bit until his lover could turn, first, into his fiancé, and then into his rightful husband. There was nothing the young man could cherish more than a loving family, and he was determined, like never before, to make his wish come true. He just needed to work his nerves out and understand how to deal with a little bit of patience.

"You don't need to thank me" Ryeowook replied, feeling his heart overwhelmed by gratefulness and exploding joy, as he placed a hand on Kyuhyun's thigh and gently it above this one's dark jeans "One day you'd have realized it the same, but perhaps this little unlucky event managed to make it happen even earlier, though we had to slightly hurrying things"

Kyuhyun bit his lips when he had caught a connection to his father's illness in Ryeowook's sentence, but kept silent and just listened to his boyfriend's soft voice: "It doesn't matter now, because you're with them, and they look happier than ever to pamper you and make you feel at home. You trusted me and I'm sincerely happy that you did, because...everything will be okay, Kyu. I promised you, and I'm not gonna back off my words" the pianist squeezed Kyuhyun's thigh and tried to comfort him even more.

Kyuhyun's mind out then. It was in occasions like that one that his heart burst with all the love he could bear for Ryeowook. It was in times like that one, that he felt the need to stop whatever he was doing, and allow himself to have that petite figure of a man strongly held in his embrace, repeating billion times the same effective three words that couldn't help, but renew their meaning at their fullest, whenever whispered with such an urgent consideration.

And Kyuhyun did it. A bit too recklessly, but he turned right and briefly stopped near the sidewalk, turning his head and whole body towards Ryeowook and, almost on the verge of bursting into tears himself, pulled him into his arms, leaving the pianist no other choice but to accept the tight hug.

"I love you more than ever, you know that, don't you?" Kyuhyun whispered, full of affection, right next to Ryeowook's hair, kissing the left side of his head while carefully his nape. Ryeowook nodded, silent but happy from above Kyuhyun's shoulder and this one let out a relieved sigh: "It's good that you know" he giggled and didn't move one muscle to get back to his earlier position, feeling too comfortable -despite the annoying seatbelt that tried to pull him back- to hold Ryeowook and being, for once in a while, selfishly reassured, instead of reassuring.

"Kyu, I think it'd be better if you left me and resumed driving..." Ryeowook tentatively said, coughing, his whole upper body was now pressed between his own seatbelt grip, that moved backwards and tried to pull him back as well, and Kyuhyun's hug that didn't look like about to be released anytime soon "Don't pull me that strongly, please..." he breathed sharply and winced, trying to make Kyuhyun realize that he was hurting.

"Sorry, sunshine" Kyuhyun quickly freed the man from his arms and patted lightly on both his shoulders, to fix his coat. He glanced at the pianist one last time, to be sure he was okay, and still giggling by himself, finally resumed driving, certain to have overcome the temporary emotional phase at the thought of his parents.

Ryeowook, in the meanwhile, still kept a firm hold of the pastries box, hoping, once it was opened, not to find any of those delicious sweets accidentally smashed against the plastic container.

After around ten minutes, or slightly more, considered the traffic, they reached once again Kyuhyun's parents' villa in the outskirts of Seoul.

The engine stopped and the car was parked right next to the closed gate. As Kyuhyun waited for his boyfriend to get off, so he could lock the car and quickly reach him to get inside the house together, he halted in his tracks and without prior notice grabbed Ryeowook by a wrist, pulling him in the warmth of his embrace yet again. The startled man quite literally twirled around and ended up hitting against Kyuhyun's chest, almost letting that the precious pastries fell on the ground, if he weren't fast enough to hold it in balance, even with one hand only.

He smacked Kyuhyun's shoulder and pouted, not understanding why his boyfriend suddenly felt the need of another hug. His questions were quickly answered when Kyuhyun entoured his waist, and leaned forward to rest his chin on top of the other man's left shoulder: "Stay still and let me hug you once again"

"O-okay" Ryeowook, still puzzled and with his own chin pointed a bit higher, towards the cold clear sky of the end of January, complied with the request. His breath misted in the chilly air and soon the little cloud of steam dissolved behind Kyuhyun's back. He managed, with much control and attention for the box of food, to snake his free left arm around Kyuhyun's waist, responding to that hug and patting lightly on the younger man's back: "What's this for?"

Kyuhyun hummed, not giving his reply right away. He took his time to think about what to do and, when he came up with a rather pleasant and satisfying idea, he lifted his head, straightened his back and looked for Ryeowook's sweet eyes, where he willingly lost himself, mesmerized by those dark gems and their long fluttering lashes.

"What?!" impatient and springy, Ryeowook asked again, pouting while keeping his gaze fix on Kyuhyun, who shushed him by placing one gloved finger on those plump lips: "Stay still I said..." his voice lowered in a teasing whisper before he could lean and finally reach his boyfriend's lips, grazing them softly with his as if extremely cautious while tasting them.

The young man parted once and rubbed his nose against Ryeowook's, feeling rather happy and giggly: "I just remembered that I can't touch you the way I'm used to do, if we get inside my parents' house at once. And I was craving for your lips..."

As an answer, Ryeowook scoffed lightly and tilted his head to one side, looking playfully not satisfied with what he had just received as a little token of affection: "Look what kind of lazy boyfriend I've got myself!"

"Hey! What do you mean?" Kyuhyun asked, a bit deceived, but soon Ryeowook tiptoed to reach the younger man's lips once again and pecked them, pressing strongly to combine their two halves: "You can do better than a little peck, right?" he breathed in a little grin, before Kyuhyun could accept the challenge and move decidedly, each time a bit faster and deeper, until he got in, deciding to change his pace and bring it to a gentler one, which still managed to successfully take away all of his lover's breath.

He had just slided the tip of his tongue on the older man's upper lip, tickling it, when Kyuhyun was almost abruptly shoved away by one shocked and embarassedly blushing hard Ryeowook, whose wide eyes were fixed on a point somewhere above the other man's shoulders. Kyuhyun immediately turned away, feeling that little rejection too annoying, to the point that he had to understand what pushed Ryeowook to break their kiss first.

And then he realized: there was a man on the other side of the road, whose presence had disturbed Ryeowook. He was quite tall and the long dark coat that he wore enhanced his height and slim figure, balancing the body ratio. The man hid in a hat what were probably like silky pitch-black hair, and his facial features, soft and round, didn't look like Asian at all. What troubled Ryeowook the most was that this man, while leaning with his back against a nice black car parked next to the sidewalk, was keeping his cold icy blue eyes on the two lovers and smirked as if to openly mock them for what they were doing.

Kyuhyun groaned, visibly pissed off for being interrupted in his actions, and casually ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it while lightly cursing at the sky. Ryeowook instead, even though shocked, embarrassed and a tiny bit afraid for seeing how easily his bubble of intimacy could burst at only one glance by that stranger's intrusion, couldn't help but intently stare at those intimidating yet magnetic blue eyes that had caused him to wince and part from Kyuhyun's lips. He couldn't tell the reason, however he found those eyes threatening yet extremely beautiful. His flushing cheeks reddened and soon Kyuhyun's hand, pulling him by a wrist, contributed to snap him out from his thoughts.

The last thing he saw, before turning to walk in the house direction, was the stranger's mouth creasing in a grin and his gloved hand lifting from his crossed arms and quickly gesturing a little wave to acknowledge his presence. Ryeowook had a hard time to slow down his stupidly fast running heart, struck by such insolence from that unknown man, whom had been spying their kisses for quite long.

The pianist couldn't think straight at all not even when, after entering the house and greeting his unofficial in-laws, he discovered the guests' identities. In fact, sitting in the living room were Jiwon and an older woman, most likely her mother, already sipping tea one next to the other. Ryeowook didn't look surprised to find the girl there, since he had been told everything about the friendship that linked the young woman and her older brother to Kyuhyun.

Kyuhyun's mother hugged him warmly, just like she had done with her own son just a couple of seconds before, and got rid of the two men's coats by hanging them in the hallway.

"How are you today?" she asked him, with her contagious happy tone of voice, to which Ryeowook replied with a sentence as nice and polite as hers. Still troubled by what had happened in front of the house, he couldn't ruin the day with his too fancy and too many thoughts. After all, he liked meeting Kyuhyun's parents and they always welcomed him with much enthusiasim.

He handed the little woman his box of pastries and blushed again when Kyuhyun, on his way from the living room after greeting the two guests, popped up in the kitchen and smirked: "You must try those out!" he pointed at the round sweet pastries shaped as little baskets, filled with chocolate and topped with a whirl of whipping cream "Ryeowook made them just this morning, and I had breakfast with those!" he grinned, feeling victorious for having kept that little secret from his lover all day long.

"So it was you who stole half the container from the fridge, while I baked more baskets?!" Ryeowook dropped his jaw and widened eyes, shocked upon hearing such a revelation.

Kyuhyun was next to the kitchen counter and took from the shelf two mugs. He turned to Ryeowook and laughed out loud: "Who might have been otherwise? Do you think that things can easily disappear like that?"

The pianist pouted and furrowed his brows in a frown, not looking pleased at all: "I...I thought I had wrongly calculated ingredients and thus I got less pastries!"

Kyuhyun's mother was arranging the homemade sweets on a round plate to offer to her guests, and heartily smiled while noticing at how cutely the two men were bickering among them.

"Come on, mum!" Kyuhyun rested both his hands on the woman's shoulders, while towering her from behind, and leaned forwards, picking one from the plate and holding it right before her mother's mouth: "Try one, before going back to the living room" he pleaded, wanting her to compliment his lover for his cooking skills.

She gave up and bit half the pastry, her lips to savour the cream that had got dirty. Slowly chewing and swallowing down her sweet, she opened up in a smile and lifted two thumbs to give her approval: "Delicious!" she squeaked happily "Kyuhyun told me that you can cook, but I never expected you to be that good! We should definitely organize something for my son's upcoming birthday!"

Ryeowook nodded and agreed: "It'd be a pleasure for me" he said, and after a little while the woman walked away from the kitchen and left the two lovers alone, allowing his son to brew their tea for two in the meantime.

The taller one ate the remaining half and even his fingertips, to clear the cream off them, before proceeding to fill a pot with cold water. However Ryeowook, being more used than the other one, leaned over the sink and stole the pot from Kyuhyun's hands, lifting him from the task: "I'll do it" he said, placing the round ceramic pot on the heated stove and waiting for the flame to warm the outer material.

Kyuhyun sighed, as he reached Ryeowook against the counter and waited as well, crossing arms, keeping his gaze on the blueish flame from the gas stove.

"So, didn't you get a stomachache from eating all those pastries this morning? And I didn't know anything too, good job!" Ryeowook asked, trying hard to mask his amusement in a little scolding.

Kyuhyun shook his head: "How could I? When you prepare food, you pour all your heart and love into it, how could something that bears your love harm me?" he chuckled, moving one arm behind, touching the smooth surface of the counter, pretending to make his two fingers walk on it and slip behind the other man's back, just to be sure that Ryeowook couldn't miss his entouring hold then.

"Get away!" Ryeowook hissed, trying to free himself from that arm, worried to be caught by Kyuhyun's mother, if she ever came around again "We can't be so clingy and touchy, or..." Ryeowook was cut off by the sudden beep of his cellphone ringtone, and Kyuhyun, annoyingly rolling eyes, for a moment blessed whoever interrupted his boyfriend, before he could plunge deep into a nonsense babbling about how they weren't supposed to act all lovey-dovey in front of those people that still didn't know about their relationship.

"Hello?" Ryeowook answered, stepping away from Kyuhyun, but this one was faster and stole the thin high-tech device from the man's hands, bringing it to his ear and checking who was calling.

"Ryeowook?" the other man asked.

"Nope. Try again." Kyuhyun smirked at the phone, making his boyfriend grimace rather annoyingly, while motioning to get back his device.

"Kyuhyun?! Why are you answering your boyfriend's calls?"

"Why do you need to be such a nuisance, Donghae?" Kyuhyun replied in a scoff.

"Let me speak to Ryeowook, please" Donghae insisted, but once again Kyuhyun pouted and added: "He's busy. We're both busy with each other, if you get what I mean..." he grinned widely, showing a row of perfect white teeth. Ryeowook, quite angry at Kyuhyun for making pointless allusions, and joking that dangerously with his parents sitting just in the other room, quickly shushed him by blocking his mouth with the palm of a hand, while the other was busy at repeatedly hit him on a shoulder.

He didn't realize that his hand pressed against Kyuhyun's mouth was making him moan by mistake. And Donghae was clearly not at ease while listening to something he probably didn't have to, convinced by Kyuhyun's earlier words.

However, Ryeowook managed to snatch away his own phone and get the call, fumbling some excuses to clear the situation: "We are at his parents' and the only thing that keeps Kyuhyun busy right now is a boiling teapot" he sighed and threw one last flashing glance at his boyfriend, who was pouring hot water into two mugs "Tell me, Donghae. What's wrong?" Ryeowook continued, not failing to notice the other man's quite anxious tone of voice.

"I need you to help me with a song arrangement. Please don't reject me! It's due for tomorrow and I'm not even done with the first verses!" he was about to freak out "The agency will make me pay an extra fee for the delay, if I hand it too late!"

Ryeowook then sighed, silently nodding at the phone for the full explanation he was provided by his procrastinating friend. After a while he accepted the help request and greeted Donghae, setting their appointment in front of the talent agency where the coreographer worked.

"What did nuisance number one want?" Kyuhyun tiredly rubbed his eyes before locking them again on his boyfriend's face: "Donghae is actually too nice for being number one, I guess he is number three. He cannot outstand either Yesung or his husband, anyway...tell me"

"He wants me to help him with a song arrangement by tomorrow" Ryeowook replied flat.

"Cool! Why didn't I hear you tell him that you're not in Seoul for working?" Kyuhyun lifted one eyebrow in a questioning expression, towering Ryeowook from behind, as he firmly held the man by his hips.

"Because he's desperate and might be paying high for his mistake." Ryeowook casually said, stirring his two scoops of sugar in the hot drink, bearing the hot breath of Kyuhyun's bemused question right near his ear. The pianist left the teaspoon on the counter of the kitchen island and straightened his back, perfectly aware of the winding hold by Kyuhyun's presence around his body.

"And what did he do instead of working, this time?" Kyuhyun took the abandoned teaspoon and dropped some sugar into his tea as well, always gently pressing Ryeowook's body between his and the hard table.

This one sipped once the hot drink, then laughed as soon as he turned his head to meet his boyfriend's inquirying stare: "He...spent the weekend in Jeju with Eunhyuk and forgot about his work commitment" he finally explained.

"Oh sure! That's something Donghae might be forgiven for! Which kind of lover would more likely care for work instead of his own husband, while relaxing together?" Kyuhyun pouted and lifted his stare to the ceiling as if he needed some time to think about what to say next, but Ryeowook, catching what Kyuhyun wanted to tell him, blushed hard and averted his stare, focusing his whole attention on the hot mug he was holding in his hands.

"Don't think you can avoid the topic! You are really something! See? Even Donghae prefers his little love adventures with Eunhyuk rather than bringing work with him on vacation, but you, instead, still do it! I'd rather spend my holiday without having you constantly worried for classes and lessons, but I must silently obey to whatever you say and..." the younger one was babbling nonstop, looking quite concerned and stung in his pride for that, until he was cut off.

Boldly, very boldly, Ryeowook tiptoed in Kyuhyun's embrace and grabbed him by his neck, quickly pecking the man's lips: "Shut up!" he told him, a bit rushing and impatient.

Kyuhyun, feeling his boyfriend's arm letting go of the grip, straightened his back and intently looked at the other one with both eyes and mouth wide open, totally shocked by Ryeowook's breaking-rules-and-taboos-behavior. One chill rolled down his spine, aware that what had just happened was too dangerous -always according to Ryeowook's standards- for happening there and then, or even twice.

"That's a last" Ryeowook fumbled, patting his flushed hot cheeks, before walking into the living room and sitting on the free couch with Kyuhyun, setting the conversation as officially ended.

That was when he could examine better Jiwon's mother, a little thin woman with a bush of curly black hair, a wrinkled face stained with heavy make up, that didn't suit her age, and whatever accessory might have shown her rich social status, working as a glance-catcher. And it was effective.

It had been two weeks from the news that Siwon had to sell away all his holdings and officially give up on the family's wealth, however the little woman spoke and behaved as if she was truly born a queen: she was stubborn, stingy, rather superficial, not at all funny or discreet, way too nosy and judgmental. Ryeowook forced too much his smiles whenever she chatted with Kyuhyun's family, and, by the look of it, the two old people had most likely agreed to the meeting just because of the long-existing friendship between their sons, nothing more.

"I need to go now" Ryeowook announced, officially done to hear the woman's talk about her past work as a couple matchmaker, or the exclusive circle of her rich girl-friends still living in Hong Kong, the celebrities met throughout her lifetime and who knows what else he had forced out of his mind, a bit disgusted.

The pianist stood up and excused himself, explaining he had some work to do and that he needed to leave earlier.

"Call me when you're done at Donghae's, so I can pick you up and go home later" Kyuhyun smiled, knowing that Ryeowook was pressing his scarf around his face in order to hide his red tinted cheeks. The petite man greeted everyone in the room and walked away.

"I love you" he quickly read a text message from his lover, just after closing the main door behind himself, and Ryeowook couldn't hold a giggle while typing his reply to Kyuhyun.

"For helping this much his friend, Kyuhyun has really grown up into a beautiful, kind-hearted man!" Siwon's mother couldn't keep her eyes off Kyuhyun, whom took those compliments to fuel further more his ego, and couldn't erase from his face that stupid grin he usually showed off when particularly pleased of himself.

Kyuhyun's mother then smiled from above her teacup and confirmed with a nod: "Ryeowook has always been very close to Kyuhyun and he takes great care of him, I'd say that he turned my son into a better person, because Kyuhyun was a little rascal before. But I guess it's also because he finally matured for his age."

While his wife continued her description of her son, Kyuhyun's father didn't fail to notice how wide the amused grin on his son's face got as soon as the woman had mentioned Ryeowook's name. Kyuhyun's strangely too bright lit face betrayed a thought, that sounded somewhat like his personal confirmation of pleasure for having Ryeowook taking great care of him.

And the clear disturb depicted on the young man's face, appeared right when Siwon's mother had mentioned the possibility of marriage, looked even stranger in Kyuhyun's father's eyes, while still examining his own son.

"Marriage?" Kyuhyun's mother repeated, glancing at her son and waiting for his reaction.

"I mean, he's almost thirty and it'd be more suitable for a man of his age to be taken care by a wife, instead of still living with friends as a single man, don't you think?" Siwon's mother explained her ideas, visibly irritating Kyuhyun, who gulped at each stress on the fact that he needed to marry as soon as possible, according to her. Not even his own parents had ever pushed too much the matter, why did she have to do it on their behalf? Also, being quite nosy about it.

"What do you think?" Kyuhyun's father interrupted that silence and asked directly his son, curious to hear his opinion on the matter.

Kyuhyun wanted to tell his father that he was indeed ready to marry, even though not a woman, and that he would have soon introduced his soulmate at the right time, but instead sighed and shook his head while rubbing the back of his neck, a bit too tired of listening other people discussing about his life as if he weren't present in the room.

"I'll think about marriage after finding the right person for me, that's my personal view. Plus, I like my current living situation, I have nothing to complain about and Ryeowook, just like mum said, is even better than a true housewife" Kyuhyun firmly stated, his words sounding sharp and decided "I like living with him, full stop." His latest statement had just unconsciously aroused many other doubts in the old man sitting across the table, however Kyuhyun didn't notice that curious frown on his father's wrinkled face, or the way his eyes had slightly narrowed behind the clear lens of his eyeglasses.

"Still, you must consider the possibility of meeting new people. Wouldn't you like me to set some blind dates for you, dear?"

"Mum, stop it now...you're putting Kyuhyun in a difficult situation" Jiwon interrupted her mother and gently placed her small delicate hand on the woman's shoulder, which jerked a little bit to have it taken off, after a flashing stare towards the young girl, that didn't go unnoticed by Kyuhyun.

"You're not any different if you don't marry someone worthy, we've already discussed about it" the woman's judging stare was hurting her own daughter, she knew it but didn't do anything to change it "Time will pass and nobody will ever want a middle-aged woman like you."

Jiwon immediately bent her head, feeling the heavy weight of such harsh words, which weren't that different from a true insult, especially if pronounced by a person who was supposed to mean as much as a mother did. Instead, the girl would have liked to dig a deep hole in the wooden floor and hid herself there, dragging with her that soul wounded by shame, and no one could have helped her, she was sure, until Kyuhyun stood up and unexpectedly turned into her brave knight. He took her by hand and, smiling to lessen the high tension fallen in the room, asked her to go out, saying that they needed to recuperate a bit of their old friendship.

Thus, they quietly wore their coats and, after greeting the present people, walked outside together.

"You...you didn't have to do it just for me, Kyuhyun" Jiwon shyly told him, walking past the gate and out on the road "You might have wanted to stay a little bit more with your parents."

"Don't worry. I'm around each two days, anyway, since my mother always invites us over for lunch. It's not a big deal, plus I am not that comfortable without Ryeowook by my side" Kyuhyun admitted, kinda embarrassed. He had just noticed that the strange blue-eyed man from before was still there, though comfortably sheltered in the warmth of his car this time. He didn't have the time to surpass the car and try to discreetely throw a glance inside it, because Jiwon spoke, and her words required his full attention.

"Oh, right! I don't want to be intruding into your personal matters, but..." Jiwon stopped a while, quite nervous in truth, before resuming her question "...it seems that your parents still don't know about Ryeowook, am I wrong?"

Kyuhyun sighed, after totally forgetting about the car and its bothering owner around the past corner. This time very much tired to hear that question, he wondered just when he'd be granted the possibility to stop feeling that obsessive need to explain his life to every single living person, and just enjoy it at its fullest with Ryeowook next to him. That was his only wish.

"No, you're right. They don't know about us, not yet." he deeply sighed again, lightly pouting in disappointment "First, I wanted to tell them right away, but Ryeowook stopped me. He said that it wasn't the right thing to do at our very first meeting. You know, he goes around giving the same old story about how it'd be careless to scare them by saying that I love a man instead of a woman, like it should be." Kyuhyun led down the road to a little deserted playground and sat on a swing.

He tapped several times his foot on the damp ground, looking at the dirty earth flattening under his shoe sole: "Can you believe it? He loves me, true, but he's still convinced that, since society can't accept same gender relationships, we are a wrong item. He thinks that people will be scared by us being a couple, that they would judge and harm us. Ryeowook still thinks that we should each go with the traditionalist view of a couple and says that it'd be more suitable if we both met a pretty girl to date, that's why he insists on going slow and keep things hidden, as if we were two criminals!" Kyuhyun didn't notice that his tone of voice was particularly increasing due to his burning anger then.

"Instead, I think that it's no one's concern if we are together, as long as we love each other. We should avoid friends and relatives as well, if they are so against us, and just surround ourselves by supporting loved ones, don't you think?"

Jiwon shook her head: "I'm not that convinced by your words. Well, yes, I am, actually. You're right, Kyuhyun, but I somehow get what Ryeowook means with being careful and going slow about it. Not everybody is ready to accept the existence of such a relationship. I know there are many celebrities who came out with the truth behind their uality, but it took much time for the entire world to accept them and not consider them any different from what they really are, normal human beings."

Kyuhyun cracked a bitter smile then, amused to hear that, for loving a man, apparently he was to be classified under a special category of living species, as if he were a scientific experiment to be carefully examined in a laboratory: "What would I be then? Loving a man doesn't determine who I am. I'm not a criminal, I'm not a monster, I don't go out at night to commit the most brutal murders. I'm just a normal man, who has got a normal job, and pays taxes just like everyone else, but whose soulmate is another man. I want to spend the rest of my life with him, and I'll surely manage to, be that the last thing I'll ever achieve..."

Jiwon turned to Kyuhyun and stretched out a hand in the man's direction, placing it on his upper arm, rubbing the fabric of the coat to give him a bit of comfort: "Kyuhyun, I didn't want you to think that way. You're none of what you listed, of course! It's just a quite widely spread thought shared among ignorant people. Look at my mother, for example! She's just praised you in front of your parents, but if she were to know that you are almost committed to a man, she'd surely avoid you like the plague. She's convinced that this kind of relationships are twisted and ill-natured, that you'd more likely deserve to be burning in hell for your sins. I personally don't share the same opinion."

Kyuhyun's burst into a laughter, which gradually sounded a bit hysteric: "Sins? Then, be it! I'd gladly burn in hell with Ryeowook, since both of us love each other and apparently are at fault for it. However, I don't think we might end up suffering too much, he's my angel and he'll only show me the way to heaven, where to live together happily, not only until the end of our days, but beyond eternity, I'm fully sure of this."

"You love him so much, don't you?" Jiwon's voice became a softer whisper, as she cupped Kyuhyun's cheek and it with a thumb.

"I'd die for him" he smiled and replied just as softer, baring his whole heart in front of that old friend of his, while thinking of Ryeowook's tender smile, imagining the other man right as if he were there before his eyes.

"Why then don't you begin talking about him to your parents? I mean, they already like him a lot! I'm sure that, after a little bit they'd get used to the idea of having a son-in-law instead, and you could talk Ryeowook into marriage, and propose to him, right?"

"It's not that easy!" Kyuhyun abruptly jumped up, stepping on the ground with much strength, opposing to the careless words coming out from Jiwon's mouth: "I've already tried to approach the topic last Christmas, but Ryeowook didn't take me seriously and rejected the idea" the man's eyes suddenly got lucid, almost watery, and deception was palpable throughout that reaction.

Kyuhyun's voice didn't sound as steady as before, when he added: "He says he's not ready for such a commitment. He'd like to wait a little bit more, and I don't want to push the matter and risk to hurry him into something he doesn't want to do yet."

"Are you scared?" Jiwon stood up as well and followed him again, walking a bit more side by side.

"I am, yes" he admitted in one shy blow, nervously patting his hair fringe, in a flattening motion that in truth was aimed at hiding his unesiness and evident shame visible in his eyes: "I am scared to push him away from me, if I ever insist too much. Actually, I was fine this way, before a married friend of mine suggested the idea. You see, Ryeowook and I already live together and we spend each day fully cherishing and loving one another, it's no different from a marriage, but I am horrified by the idea of this tiny possibility to see him walking away from me."

Jiwon nodded, getting the meaning of Kyuhyun's words: "It's fine being scared, Kyuhyun. Moreover not all marriages are successful! They don't even settle down a relationship that easily, like you believe. If Ryeowook ever wanted to leave you then, he'd file for a divorce and what would you do? You can't stop him from living his life"

"Jiwon, you don't know Ryeowook!" Kyuhyun appeared much agitated then, while trying to defend his position "Mine might sound like a whim, but I swear that it isn't! Ryeowook needs me, he'd never want me to leave his side, because he's not as tough as he looks like" a sharp sigh, that hurt his chest, interrupted him for a while, before carefully selecting the words to describe his fragile lover: "Deep inside he's still a hurt child and I hate thinking that I had great part into hurting him. For many years he's been left alone to stand against the world and, just as much as he's scared of being hurt again, I like to think that officially tying him to me through a marriage would mean that I could protect him for long time in the future."

Kyuhyun looked sad at the idea that Ryeowook couldn't possibly understand his life goal. Ryeowook was all he wanted to have, he was his charming prince and Kyuhyun would have challenged the whole world, the hostile universe if that was the case, in order to protect him like a brave knight would do.

And right when he walked, step by step, on the concrete sidewalk, his pocket vibrated. Kyuhyun hadn't realized that the afternoon had quietly slipped into dark evening. He had to though, since the air became suddenly colder. The young man fished his cellphone from his coat pocket and checked the incoming call.

Of course, after talking a lot about him, no one else rather than Ryeowook himself could have possibly called him with such insistence. He probably wanted to be picked up and brought home, and a little smile appeared on Kyuhyun's lips, ready to listen to the pianist's sweet voice echoing through the speakers.

"Look at how beautiful the sunshine is!" Kyuhyun with one of the man's lovely nicknames.

"Kyu, there's no sun shining in the evening..." Ryeowook sighed. His voice sounded tired and not at all feeling like to play around.

"I-I know" Kyuhyun was taken aback. His smile completely disappeared. He couldn't tell why, maybe it was because Ryewoook sounded stressed out, or maybe because he felt the great impact of his own earlier words and was still affected by the whole marriage topic shared with Jiwon: "Where are you?" he sniffled, a bit sad, pretending that to be just the effect of cold air.

"We moved from the agency long time ago and I'm still at Donghae's. It looks like I'd probably stay overnight and try to come up with a pretty decent tune by 8am tomorrow morning." Donghae, trying to work the keyboard, could be heard in the background, and Ryeowook sighed, clearly tired of hearing the same notes being produced by the musical instrument "I called to tell you to go ahead and reach home without me. Come and get me after breakfast tomorrow, okay?"

"But...I'd be all alone tonight. How can you be so heartless?" Kyuhyun complained, suddenly halting his walk and pouting.

"I need to go. I don't think I'll be able to call you later and say good night, so...I'm doing it now. Good night, Kyu Kyu" Ryeowook lightly giggled after sharing a little smack through the microphone. And soon after the line was disconnected, leaving Kyuhyun struck.

"Do you want to go and get a drink?" Jiwon tentatively suggested, reading the small delusion depicted all over Kyuhyun's face. She had just received a text, which informed her that her mother had safely reached home before her.

Kyuhyun growled, stomping one foot on the ground and looking pretty deceived, nonetheless he accepted the invitation and nodded, this time spitting out all his frustration: "Damn! I'm here, telling you that I'd die for him, and where is he? Working, working and working! He's at a friend's composing and arranging melodies to cover him up. I sometimes think that I might not be able to outstand the love he bears for his piano..." he sighed louder, almost whimpering, even though it wasn't like him at all, to vent all his pent up frustration that way.

The two friends soon reached Kyuhyun's car again, and with it they chose to head to a quite known lounge bar from a luxurious posh hotel. They spent their night there, drinking and exchanging their love experiences.

Or that was supposed to be the plan, which wasn't followed by both of them, but rather by Kyuhyun only, whom desperately kept on pouring his heart into the various drinks he was forcefully gulping down in one or two shots. Jiwon couldn't even begin to vent her hurt heart and tell Kyuhyun how much her ex-boyfriend still meant for her. Probably, it was also due to the fact that she wasn't having any alcohol to accompany her sadness, a compulsory element for that kind of gathering.

Kyuhyun was loudly delirating about not being loved enough by Ryeowook; he thought that this one was too blinded by his piano and composing music to notice the younger man's neverending struggles to cherish him, to make their two-year-long relationship properly work and bring it to a brand new level. He suspected that Ryeowook could be somehow restrained, considering what had happened several years before, and that he couldn't -or didn't want to- give his all into those so called "deep feelings" for Kyuhyun, for fear of facing a new betrayal.

The more he drunk, the more his slurred convictions became his own stronger fears, and his laments sung just his many promises to protect that fragile creature the heavens had gifted him, or to unconditionally trust him no matter what and make him feel simply loved.

Ryeowook had to understand this, but why instead he didn't? Why wasn't he ready to meet that known new level for their relationship. Why was he still too stubborn to say that he couldn't think of marriage, because he considered those two years spent together as very few, in order to entrust his life into the hands of his husband-to-be, not fully sure of what he was doing.

Was marrying Kyuhyun that dreadful? Was Kyuhyun really a monster? Could he be labelled as one, after considering his big past mistake? He left Ryeowook once, but swore never to do it again, and it seemed to him that those two years in Paris had just been the greatest of both their lives. Why was he left to deal with such a aching heart? Why in the world was Kyuhyun there, washing away his despair, soaking it in stinky alcohol, instead of running to Ryeowook and tell him everything, his every worry, his every fear. He could have simply joined him on his working sleepover at Donghae's, where he would have checked if he wasn't overworking himself, or if he had dinner, or insist that he should have proper breaks in between his composing session.

And if Kyuhyun had been too tired and wanted to sleep, he could have laid on the couch for a couple of hours, before resuming his shift as his lover's guardian.

He was regretting not following Ryeowook over at Donghae's...he was regretting it too much. And that was the last cry he let out before closing his ever so heavy eyelids and slamming against the cold table, moving with his seemingly dead-looking arms a couple of empty bottles that noisily crashed on the floor.

Jiwon kept silent and listened to his complaints throughout all the night.

First of all, Kyuhyun was too dragged into his one-sided explanation of facts, that she hadn't been given a chance to reply. However, that wasn't the true reason behind her silence.

She waved one hand to a waiter, to ask for help to carry Kyuhyun upstairs, where she had just booked a room for the night. Her friend had passed out and wasn't clearly able to drive the both of them safely home, but looking at him sleeping so peacefully and defenseless, after emptying his soul that carelessly, made her think of something.

While the girl followed a young porter, that had kindly accepted to help her carrying Kyuhyun to the elevator and up to the twenty-seventh floor of the hotel building, her mind wildly ran to a conversation she had had some days before and that was constantly replaying in her head.

"Pregnant?!" one vase containing fake red roses was violently thrown against the wall, shattering just when the woman's voice rose to its highest hysteric pitch: "You're truly pregnant?! Who's the father? Don't tell me this is that useless scum's doing!"

Stuttering she had found the courage needed to face her mother: "Don't call him that way! Soohyun loved me and I loved him too, before..." she stopped.

"Before...? What were you trying to say?" that hated high pitch was challenging her "Before he left, right?"

"He didn't leave" Jiwon tried to explain, sitting, as in a trembling curled ball, against the headboard of her bed "...you pushed him away from me! I wanted to marry him and spend my life with him, but you thought that he was worthless, and he ended up believing it!" she ignored the source of her courage, but that was it. Late, maybe too late, she was finally facing her mother.

"That low being wanted your money! He is a gold digger, in fact look at how he ended up! He's the husband to a rich heiress in Hong Kong, while you are here, poor and bearing his bastard child!!" the little thin woman looked wilder, animated by a strange fire in her charcoal black eyes, while she bent over the trembling figure of her daughter and gripped both her wrists, trying to pull her up, but managing only at pushing that non-cooperative body down on the wooden floor.

Jiwon hit the floor with a thud. She was faster enough to press both her hands down to support her fall or she might have hurt herself.

"Look, Jiwon..." the girl kept looking down even at the mention of her name, shedding tears that fell warm and furious. Her mother knelt beside her and stretched one hand to tuck some of the girl's long hair behind an ear, clearing half of her flushed face: "In this world, if you've got no money, all you need to survive is someone to support you. That guy understood it as well and preferred a life-long-lasting stability, instead of pursuing useless things like love or dreams. You should do it as well! You need to look for a rich man to seduce with your charm and trap into a luxurious lifetime-worth marriage, in order to defeat the horrendous dangers that are hidden everywhere. You should be treated like a princess! You're a woman, for God's sake! You should know how to make a man fall for you, right?"

Although her words seemed to make a bit sense, Jiwon firmly shook her head, too brave -or too stubborn- to eat back her words by then: "No! I won't do as you say! I'm not like you! I'll find a man who will love me and not my body. I'll find a man who could accept my son as if he were his. I'll find a man who..."

A slap. A loud slap broke once again the silence. "If that bastard sees this world's lights, no one will ever look at you as a good match to marry, can't you understand?!"

"What...what does this mean?" Jiwon held her bruised cheek with both hands, too scared to look at her mother's flashing stare.

"It means that you'll abort that monster before it's too late. If you don't do it, I'll help you. But I won't assure you that it'll be nice, easy or any painless..."

"You...you can't be this cruel" Jiwon's teary eyes got wider and wider. That horrible woman had just threatened the future life of her son, how could she be called a "mother" herself?

"Being cruel is the second weapon to survive. There are many things you must learn" the woman stood up and sighed, letting out a deep, sharp breath.

"I want to keep it, though! Please, please...this child is all what I have left from Soohyun...please!" she tried, with all her strenght, to voice out her heart breaking plea. She finally turned towards her mother's back and nervously rubbed her stomach, clearly wanting to protect the tiny life she had been given the task to take care of.

"Then, what about finding that rich man to marry, before it becomes obvious that you're pregnant?" the woman stopped right in front of the bedroom's door, before walking away.

"Even...even if I were to accept, I'd have no time to get to know a man and make him fall in love with me, it's impossible!" Jiwon's stutters was getting more desperate as seconds passed.

"Well, I know that Siwon just met with Kyuhyun the other day. What about him? He knows you and he's wealthy. If you do your thing, he might work..." and she left.

The elevator bell rang, signalling that they had reached the floor where their room for the night was located. With that, she snapped out to the surrounding reality, and, stepping out of the elevator, showed the way down the corridor to a nice double room with view on the lit Seoul's skyline.

Kyuhyun was placed with a little thud on the soft mattress and Jiwon thanked the young guy.

Closing the door at her back, she leaned against it for a couple of minutes that seemed to last forever; her glance was set on the sleeping body of her dear friend, and she couldn't do anything else than gulping, to swallow down her fears, and shut her eyes, briefly shaking her head, as if she were still convinced that what she was doing was the result of a rather unpleasant nightmare, instead.

Uncertain steps brought her to leave her safe, distant spot and walked across the room, to reach the soft mattress, where she sat beside the sprawled laying figure that breathed regularly, but that was so passed out, that couldn't wake up even if a bomb were to explode right inside that room.

Jiwon looked at the peaceful dumb grin on Kyuhyun's face and she burst into tears.

She wanted to act the role of the dear friend she was, she really did, however, what her mother told her was so threatening yet so terribly true. No one survived in the mean world without the right support, no one survived without cheating. And her son was already dealing with such a scaring truth even before his birth, that wasn't fair!

She didn't want to believe her mother at first, but the old woman wasn't allowing her to bring up "that guy's bastard son", as she liked to call the little creature, if her daughter was too stubborn to refuse a marriage with a rich party that could provide her with an easy life.

She hated the thought of having raised an useless daughter, like Jiwon was, according to her, whom had played around with the wrong man and ended up in such a difficult situation, as if she were the easiest girl on Earth, who liked to engage herself with different kind of men.

It didn't matter that Jiwon's only wish was to look for whatever detail might have recalled Soohyun's resemblance in her son's image, whatever thing: his bright round eyes, or his little nose, the slightly pointed ears... she just wanted to bring him up and let the baby feel the warmth of a mother, her boundless love.

Having a rich son-in-law, who could take care of the family, meant that also the old woman could be granted a bit of easy life and comforts, though. She could get back to her old wealthy lifestyle, which allowed her to live in a pleasant way without being turned down by the bunch of those rich acquaintances of her, who lived to judge and criticize other people...old and wrinkled witches, pathetically tracking the easiest path leading to an ephimeral happiness, concealed in richness and material things, but literally poor of any other value.

Therefore, if Jiwon was her mother's only key to get full access to the wealthier side of the society, she'd have fully exploited her daughter, no matter what, but possibly without a toddler to block her way back to glory.

In front of an ultimatum -abort or marriage with a fake husband- Jiwon picked the second choice, of course.

Siwon had temporary left to go back to Hong Kong and settle things there, before moving to Seoul again, but he had enough time to tell their mother about the coincidental meeting with Kyuhyun, and how happy he was for seeing his old friend doing fine. The old plotting woman didn't fail to carefully consider all the details needed for her plan to succeed: what Jiwon had absolutely need of was a single man, who loved her, and that was possibly quite rich for satisfying personal needs.

After having such an argument with her mother, Jiwon actually began to suspect that she might have needed a rich son-in-low for her selfish personal needs, rather than securing her daughter a steady future.

Anyway, Kyuhyun was everything listed above, but single.

There was Ryeowook to consider as the only fail in her plan. After listening to Kyuhyun getting drunk and almost begging an invisible Ryeowook to marry him, was heart-breaking to the point that she was about to give up. They really looked great as a couple. Kyuhyun was so sickeningly devoted and Ryeowook, Jiwon was sure, might have only been no other than faithful to his one and only first love from high school time. They were the perfect match, yes, but they were about to be split up for a greater purpose. No one would ever deny a little baby his happiness, right? No one was so cruel to mess up with children's future.

The girl knew she needed to trap Kyuhyun and force him into a fake marriage in order to save the baby, but in the last two weeks she had never come up with a working plan to catch the man defenseless. Until that day.

Kyuhyun was so immersed in his own little love deceptions, that had just given her one golden chance that Jiwon wouldn't have missed for sure. He literally offered himself as a sacrificial prey. The setting was perfect, she only needed to enact the rest.

While she proceeded at tearing Kyuhyun's shirt apart with three strong pulls, revealing the man's chest, not caring about the little plastic buttons jumping everywhere, and fiddling with his belt, unbuckling it with trembling hands to slide his jeans down and leave him in his underwear, the little shy Jiwon from the past was gradually casted away.

It didn't matter that her scared eyes fell on the little treasure that Kyuhyun protected around his neck. The little "R" and its purple stone glistened at the end of the silver chain, that the man had received as a token of love from Ryeowook only the previous month, but it passed totally unnoticed, because the girl was trying her best to suffocate that pang of sadness that wrapped her heart in a clenching heavy cape.

She even grazed the idea of grabbing that pendant and tear it from Kyuhyun's neck, to throw it somewhere acros the room. It was disturbing knowing that, even when far away, Ryeowook's aura could be sensed everywhere around Kyuhyun...and Jiwon felt as if the petite man's hurt almond-shaped eyes could watch her every moves in tha very instant, asking her, in a pleading quivering glance, to stop whatever she was doing.

But then, in her place, however, a grown up sly and quite selfish woman was seriosuly considering to ruin those two people's lives with her actions, forcing herself to suppress the surging guilt that slowly emerged from somewhere deep inside her chest, and this time hurt even stronger, just like a sharp blade pierced inside her flesh.

All she could do was picturing in her mind the sweet glances Kyuhyun threw at Ryeowook, or how this one was clingy and caring towards his lover, and she cried. Because she miserably failed. She had lost such a pure and precious love, unlike the two men, she had lost her chance to be glanced the way Ryeowook was, whenever next to Kyuhyun; to be touched with the same gentleness as when Ryeowook fixed his boyfriend's hair and giggled, much pleased to know that Kyuhyun was satisfied with the work he was doing. She had lost it all and would probably never be granted another moment of joy like that one. That was so desolate and delusional...

...but she was giving up everything for her child to be happy. And she was happy as long she could nurture that little hope, which flickered as her little guiding flame throughout the darkness. She was changing, and she was ready to brutally fight whoever dared to threaten her child...that was a mother's spirit, right? Unlike her own mother's twisted mind, the same odd behavior she had always had to deal with, throughout her almost thirty years of life.

I can do better, I will do better...

Jiwon left the half man on the bed to walk inside the bathroom, where she completely undressed herself and wore the soft sponge blue bathrobe provided by the hotel.

As soon as she padded her way across the room, to reach Kyuhyun again, she heard two distinguished syllables coming out as a faint mumble through the man's lips: "Ryeowook..." and that peacefully sleeping Kyuhyun stirred once, before rolling on a hip and hugging himself, perhaps dreaming to hold his lover instead.

No tears rolling on her cheeks could save her now and redeem her soul, as she was baring her true, unsuspected evil intentions while slipping quietly under covers, her back facing that drugged Kyuhyun. It wasn't clear if she was doing it to reassure herself or the future baby, but she began massaging the unformed bulge on her stomach: "It's gonna be alright" she whispered in the dark.

Doubts, about being worth of the big gift of maternity, started creeping in her obsucred foggy mind. Who could be worth of it, if she had to cheat that way right at the very beginning?

Closing her eyes, she had a dreamless sleep. It was too late to back off, too late to push away that horrible fate, because when Kyuhyun would have woken up, he would be convinced of having spent the night with her friend, cheating on Ryeowook because of his neverending million doubts and fears, blaming the poisonous screwing effect that alcohol had too often on him. No one could have told him otherwise, no one could have saved him, because no one was supposed to know a different story than that, least of all the same Kyuhyun.

And just like the night quietly slipped away, the unaware man's only certainty in life, his love, looked distant, too far away to catch up during that unlucky moment. He seemed to be bound to walk on thin ice and Kyuhyun would have soon dealt with an unwanted truth...

A/N: Hello! First of all thank you for waiting and reaching the bottom of the page while reading ^^ Second, I'm so sorry..this must really sound too cliché (the conversation at the playground, the threat and marriage with a rich man part, the fake cheating part) however, many more important things will come up next, so stay tuned because we need to see how Ryeowook will probably react (bear in mind that he had to face his own family tragedy right because of his father's cheat, therefore he's not quite really understanding in such a case). What do you think will happen next?

Siwon is temporary out (but will come back), his sister is playing the major villain role, even if forced into it and...there's a new mysterious precence: the blue-eyed man. Besides that, our two lovers are still cherishing each other and playing lovey-dovey...let me add, "until they can" lol They still don't know that it'll be the last they can ever get, as we approach the steep and dangerous angsty part of the fiction (because I know that dear @Gabycane2 is really anticipating the angst part, right? xDDD -kidding, you know ;D- ) What else? I've already finished the upcoming chapter, but I need to review it before, so it won't be up sooner than tomorrow or the day after it, at the very latest. I'd like you to leave your comments as well as usual ^^ Thanks! xxx

I might have the habit of reading comments before start reading a story and well this time I was dubious about Kyuhyun's love and devotion towards Ryeowook, but after completing this fic, I don't think that Kyuhyun is in any way undeserving of Ryeowook. I admit that in the prequel, despite his grief, Kyuhyun was a big jerk, but here, it's not his fault for things turning out the way they did. It was not his fault for Ryeowook to get and shot. Life is not easy and so is love, it's not entirely bed of roses but full of stones and bricks being thrown at your way, and only a strong love would survive the test of time, and theirs certainly did. I certainly felt Kyuhyun's love for Ryeowook, they deserve no one else but each other. I'm loving the spin off also. I'll wait for the update of your ongoing fics. Much regards.

Chapter 25: Re-read this story.. I am sorry but I did not vote for Kyu ending up with Wookie on this.. He doesn't deserve Wook, I hate him on this fic and probably would be happy if Wook died.. How can he be so stupid?! Why did he had to go to Jiwon when Wook needs him the most.. I agree with Yeye, he's not needed at the hospital.. GRRRRRR.. Or better yet, Wook could've have ended with Zhou Mi.. It would've been ZhouWook..

Chapter 25: this is the one Kyuwook story that I never happy Kyuwook together....kyuhyun totally do not deserve Ryeowook and some more be the parents of jiwons daughter...,though I can understand your plot of Ryeowook being shot but why the part (still cannot accept) and kyuhyun was always the source of all pain and in this story he is the taker and Ryeowook always he giver.....of course we would like and believe that Ryeowook is always an angel but I would rather your story end with angst which goes back to your tagging of this story! Should let kyuhyun stuck with jiwon and the daughter and Ryeowook pays his debt to ahra who died for him 12 years ago!!!

Chapter 25: Kyuhyun is so lucky because he got to have an angel who is Ryeowook by his side. Honestly I always blamed Kyuhyun and thought of him as the source of all of Ryeowook's miseries and I believed that their love just keeps on bringing more pain in Wook's life. Seeing how Ryeowook suffered over and over because of events Kyuhyun mostly involved in made me sad. There was times that I was like 'No, Not again, He had enough' but that displeasure I felt because of all those misfortunes happening to Wook didn't made me stop reading this story, Because I believed that it ought to come to an end finally and it's unfair for him going through all of this and he deserves happiness. I was so eager to know how much more he should pay to get that relief and happiness I believed he deserves and how that happiness is going to come to him. Now I know it and I feel really settled.
Actually your note at the end of the previous and this very last chapter helped me understand things better. It made the things happened throughout this story way more meaningful. I blame Kyu less than before after reading it. But still he's to be blamed for some things. I can't be as forgiving as Ryeowook ^^
Ryeowook's understanding and his wonderful kindness at the end really impressed me. He loves Kyuhyun so freaking much just as Kyu does and he's his happiness but after all the sufferings he got a bonus happiness that is Jiyoon. Ah it's satisfying to see it ends this way. I'm so relieved and happy for them ^_^

Thank you so much for this great fic. It's one of most beautiful fics I've ever read. I'm sorry I couldn't comment that much, I really tried to do but...ugh I hope you forgive me for this, I'm going to compensate and write more comments on your other fics.

Your writing style is beautiful just as your stories. Please keep it up. I definitely won't miss any of your works. Good luck with your next and other fics :)

Chapter 25: Ho my.

Ho to say this ? Your whole story was really great to read . I've been following the other too, when Ryeowook was out of Kyuhyun 's life . I like how the characters evolve trough the story .
Ryeowook is such a kind hearted person for all what he have done .
I'm sad about the fact that Jiwon died because of her daughter .But I'm also happy that Kyuwook will have a child for them .
I'm glad that Kyuhyun stayed with Ryeowook instead of her when he was dying. I hope he is aware how lucky he is to have Ryeowook.
Good Job ! !
Ps ;: I loved the way you write when Ryeowook has been shot !
