What do you think of the show rather than tell style of writing?

Tell rather than show! Use a lot of long adjectives to prove dat ur smart!

Aww, a question for me! Use show rather than tell, and cut down on the adjectives. It just clogs up the story and makes you seem pretentious. Am I pretentious for using ‘pretentious’? Probably. Anyways.

What do you think of the main character liking and getting close to the love interest, but then someone, possibly a best friend/enemy/ex-lover, coming and taking them away? I, for one, absolutely hate it. So what is your view on the whole thing?

The main character must always end up with the love interest!
Always.

Not always! I think it’s usually kind of predictable and boring when they do end up together… but some stories do it well.
