'Hyesung dear, someone new will come to our house... I'm sure that he'll do a good job'

I just rolled my eyes and waited for his arrival. Then there's a knock on the door and after mum and dad give the cue to come in, a tall man with an exotic look comes in. He bowed to us politely and smiled.

'Good evening, Duke and Duchess. My name is Eric Mun and I'll be serving your family from now' 

After he said that, he looked at me as if he was studying me and I don't like it for one bit. He saw my frowning but I just don't bother to care. But then, I saw a glimpse of smile from the corner of his lips. Not wanting him to see me looking at him, I looked away. 

'Yes, good evening Eric. It's such an honour to have you as our bodyguard. I heard that you've serve another King for the past years' dad said and smiled at him as if he was satisfied with his choice of bodyguard.

'Oh no... It's MY honour to be serving you' 

'Not us but our beloved son specifically... This is Shin Hyesung'

Eric looked at me and bowed politely, 'Good evening Lord Shin Hyesung' 

I just looked at him and looked away. As usual. Just like how I did when I meet new people. I sighed inside as I knew that this guy right in front of me was not going to stay long. 2 months maximum. As far as I remembered, this is the 30th bodyguard that I have.

'I'm sure that you're aware with Hyesung's condition right?' mother asked with a concerned face. I bet she was afraid that the Eric guy will quit.

'Yes, I am. I'm sure that I could handle with it' 

Tsk, everyone said that exact same thing and look what happened. They quitted. Because of my muteness. Maybe because they were annoyed with me and they couldn't stand it any longer.

'So, are you okay with it, Hyesung dear?' mum asked.

I just looked at her and looked at Eric back and fourth. Then I stood up and made my way to my room. I could heard mum said, 'I'm sorry for his behaviour. But I'm sure he's okay with you being his bodyguard' 

'Don't be... I understand' 

When I closed the door, I could only sigh. I don't understand why they want to hire someone for me. Are they expecting them to make me talk? Because that doesn't work.
