Vampire Sanctuary: Genesis (SEMI-HIATUS)He slipped his cell phone back in his jacket pocket and proceeded to leave the apartment. His hand hovered over the metal doorknob when his phone rang for the fifth time of the day. An irritated sigh escaped from him. He decided to check the caller ID first before he considered whether to answer. The first three calls were s asking for trouble and a beating. The last two calls were from his manager and honestly, he wished he never picked them up. The news of more upcoming schedules and meetings didn't lessen any of his stress and pressure. Too bad, he couldn't tell his company that he desperately needed time out from activities to deal with certain personal business.
When he saw a particular name appeared on the screen, he immediately answered.
"Hello?" He breathed into the phone and wait for the person on the other line. A minute or more into the phone call, he clenched his jaw slightly from the sudden news delivered by the caller. "Are-" He paused, then kicked off his shoes and began to pace back into his bedroom. "Are you positive? You haven't had one since eight years ago- I understand what you are trying to say but I wouldn't be able to send one of mine over there at this time." He listened attentively and seated himself on his unmade bed. Pale fingers ran through the silky hair, his lips in as his eyes darted slightly from side to side. Little unconscious habits done many times when he processed in information and attempted to connect the dots. "Okay, first, talk to your sister about it. I have to go now, call me back afterward. Okay? Good, bye."
The moment the call ended, he dropped the hand that had the phone on the soft blanket. Many arising events had caught him off guard lately and the newly obtained information was only building more pressure to the dam before it collapse to drown everything. Everything suddenly began to pile up on him, greedily swallowed him whole, almost successfully drive him to insanity. He often questioned what would happen after he walks out of the thick fog. Would the sun be the first to greet him, or would he come in face to face with desolation? Clearly, whichever the outcome would be, he knew deeply the impact it would bring great changes. <
