Chapter 7
Only One For Me
“Bye,” Jessica bowed.
“I wish I stayed home more,” Mr. Lee said.
“Its okay dad,” Donghae smiled.
“Bye,” Mrs. Lee waved.
“Let’s go,” Donghae helped Jessica.
“You can let go,” Jessica told him when they were out of sight.
“But you’re still sick,” Donghae said. Jessica took her hand away from him and got in the car.
“I don’t want to be a model,” Jessica said.
“Mwoh?! I filled out all of the forms already,” Donghae told her.
“I’m a maid, I can’t be a model,” Jessica replied.
“You have the clothes for it,” Donghae said.
“I don’t want to be on magazines anymore! I hate being on them already,” Jessica said.
“Why are you so mad?” Donghae asked.
“Can we please just leave?” Jessica replied.
“Let me help,” Donghae offered.
“What do you want to eat?” Jessica asked.
“What do you want to cook?” Donghae asked.
“There’s no more food,” Jessica stared at the fridge.
“I will take you to the store,” Donghae offered.
“This…and this…” Jessica said.
“What else?” Donghae asked.
“I will get these,” Jessica tiptoed and tried to reach the item.
“Got it,” Donghae smiled and put it in the cart.
“Thank you,” Jessica replied.
“So…Are you not mad?” Donghae asked.
“Mwoh?” Jessica asked.
“I’m sorry,” Donghae replied.
“I’m acting normal like you want me to, you never know who’s watching,” Jessica whispered.
“I’m sorry,” Donghae hugged Jessica from behind and startled her.
“D-Donghae,” Jessica nudged him with her elbow.
“You said we never know whose watching, let the magazines see,” Donghae whispered in her ears.
“Stop, we’re not really together, so you can’t do this,” Jessica removed his hands.
“Aish,” Donghae backed away.
“Please stop doing that,” Jessica told him.
“What do I have to do so you would forgive me?” Donghae asked.
“We will see,” Jessica whispered.
“Sleepy head cucumber!” Donghae knocked on her door and slowly opened it. He saw her sleeping on the bed peacefully.
“Let’s see, we can’t let her have bad things,” Donghae looked around her desk.
“Empty book shelf..desk…aish…” Donghae shook his head and sat down in the chair.
“What’s this?” he picked up a notebook with a letter J on it.
“Kibum probably bought this when I told him to buy random things,” Donghae shrugged and opened it.
“It’s a diary…I shouldn’t read it,” Donghae closed it and put it back, but an envelope fell out of it.
“What could this be?” Donghae opened it and took out the paper.
“Jessica’s dreams,” he read. “So childish,” he laughed.
“One, go to college. Two, learn how to play the piano. Three, to sing to someone. Four, be happy every day. Five, get a best friend. Six, meet someone I can tell anything to. Seven, meet someone I can show my real self to. Eight, meet someone that will do anything with me and for me. Nine, meet someone that will stay with me forever. Ten, find someone that will love me,” Donghae read.
“Her…Love? So silly, no one knows what love is,” Donghae scooted closer to Jessica’s bed and looked at her. “Maybe I’m being to mean to you. Look at your dark circles,” Donghae poked under her eyes. “Is it because of me?”
“Your dreams will come true,” Donghae told her and left.
~A Couples Day Later
“Sleep head cucumber!!!” Donghae ran downstairs.
“Yeah?” Jessica asked.
“So…What are you doing?” Donghae asked.
“Cooking your breakfast,” Jessica replied.
“I will help,” Donghae grabbed the things.
“Aniyo, I will,” Jessica said and grabbed the things.
“I’m the owner, and so I want to cook breakfast today,” Donghae said.
“Okay,” Jessica took off her apron.
“Let’s see…” Donghae started cooking. “Aish! What am I thinking?! Cooking?!” Donghae shouted and accidently put his hand on the hot stove. “Ow!!”
“What happened?” Jessica ran into the kitchen.
“Stupid…Aish!” he blew on his hand.
“Omo,” Jessica looked at it.
“I don’t need your help,” Donghae stomped out to the garden. “Stupid, I wanted to help…Why?!?! Aish!!!” Donghae kicked the chair.
“Donghae,” Jessica called while holding a box.
“What?” Donghae asked while covering his face from the sunlight.
“Here,” Jessica gave him the first aid kit.
“What is this for?” Donghae asked.
“Your burn,” Jessica pointed.
“I don’t need it,” Donghae looked away.
“It will get worst,” Jessica sat down and started helping him. “Does it hurt?” she looked up.
“No,” Donghae replied. He slowly looked down and watched her. Her brown hair was falling over her shoulders and the sun was making her hair shine. Donghae couldn’t help but put a strand of hair behind her ear.
