*Wait… it’s Monday! It’s 10 am!* I quickly ran around the abandoned apartment trying to get my school clothes on. I was surprised no one bothered to wake me up. I called up Jungmin and he didn’t answer his phone.

*Even Jungmin didn’t bother looking for me!*

I rushed all the way to the school and found out that the school gates were closed. I shook the gates.

*UGH! Someone please let me in*

“Can I help you?” the gatekeeper asked.

“Uh Yes, I’m late can you please let me in. Please.” I begged. I could tell that the only reason the gatekeeper let me in was 1. He had never seen me and 2. He felt sorry for me.

“Thank you so much!” I thanked running to class. He chuckled at me as I left. I went to the restroom, made myself look presentable, and headed to class.

“Late aren’t we Ms. Kim.” My teacher commented as I took my seat.

“Umm… yeah I ran in to some trouble this morning.” I told her. She didn’t say anything else. I looked at all my friends and I was fuming. Why was it that none of them bothered to wake me up! I went through school and didn’t say a word to anyone.

“Look we’re sorry,” Hyunseung apologized.

“Yeah, sorry,” Tohru said. Momo merely nodded in agreement.

“I don’t care. Leave me alone.” I demanded. They knew I was mad and they knew eventually I would get over it, so they left me alone.

“Why were you late today?” Jungmin asked.

“I don’t want to talk about it. I’m not having a good day and I’d like to focus on having a better one.” I retorted. Normally, Jungmin would keep going at it, but in this case he didn’t ask anything. Instead of eating lunch with everyone I decided to take a walk around the school.

“Are you really that mad at them?” A voice asked me. I turned and saw Kikwang.

“Why did they ask you to come ask for them?” I questioned. He laughed. I took this time to take note of his smile. It was nice.

“No, it’s just normally you come eat with us and I was surprised to see you here instead of there.” He told me.

“Look, when I start my day off bad the rest of my day turns out bad.” I told him. We walked along together in silence. It was nice. He wasn’t trying to question me and he wasn’t trying to get me to apologize to anyone he was just there on his own.

“It looks like it’s going to rain.” Kikwang pointed out. I nodded.

“I like the rain. The humid smell is great.” I told him. I didn’t know why I told him anything at all, but I figured whatever I said to Kikwang right now would stay between me and Kikwang.

“Yeah? That’s odd most of the time people just complain about the rain.” He told me. I nodded.

“Yeah, I know, but the rain is really soothing. Plus it is the best time to sleep.” I said. Slowly but surely Kikwang and I got in to a random conversation.

“You’re so weird. Why would you go on a rollercoaster that scares you?” He asked.

“Well so I can get past my fears. Plus it’s not like I’m going to die!” I exclaimed, trying to defend my point.

“Well I heard that if you have too much G force you could die!” He scolded. I rolled my eyes at him.

“I hate you.” I said. We both laughed, knowing that we were playing around.

“Wow it seems like you’re doing better.” Hyunseung noted, as we neared the table.

“Yeah, Kikwang is a brain washer. If you see me doing his laundry dump cold water on me or something.” I told him. To be honest I was feeling better. I don’t know how he did it, but I’m sure glad that he did do it. I heard my stomach growl, and lunch had already ended.

“Don’t worry shorty, I’ll buy you lunch.” Kikwang offered. I glared at him.

“Fine….shorty.” I muttered the last part.

“Huh what did you say at the end?” He asked. I grinned.

“I said buddy!” I lied. He knew I was lying but he laughed anyways. I gaze over at Yoseob and saw that he looked slightly bothered.

*Hn….what’s up with him?*

The more I thought about it and realized this moment was similar to when I went to go get groceries with Yoseob.

-Flashback-
In the store I went straight for what I needed to get after all I only had a certain amount of money. Yoseob on the other hand wanted to fill the basket full of things he wanted.
“Yah! Yang Yoseob if you don’t put some of these things away!” I scolded. He pouted and went to put some things up. When I went up to pay I was short money. It came down to Yoseob’s candy or chips.
“Awh, can’t I have both?” He begged.
“No. One or the other.” I commanded. He pouted.
“Meanie…”he mumbled. I raised my eyebrows.
“What was that?” I questioned him.
“Umm sweetie… you’re enough sweets for me!”He exclaimed, trying to play it cool. I rolled my eyes and gave him back the bag of candy.
“Yeah yeah well do your sweetie a favor and take these sweets back.” I demanded.
-End Flashback-

It was different with Kikwang though. I didn’t see him like I saw Yoseob. The problem was I couldn’t distinguish who made me feel better, Yoseob or Kikwang. We all ended up walking our separate ways but I ended up going to the bathroom instead.

“Hey Jae,” a voice called from behind me. I turned and saw Yoseob staring straight at me.

“Hn?” I asked.

“What does Kikwang have that I don’t?” He questioned. I admit I was taken back by his question.

“What are you talking about?” I asked.

“I saw the way you two were together. You looked like you were really comfortable with him. Why can’t it be that way with me?” He asked. My eyes widened.

“It’s not that it isn’t…. it’s just…after the whole girlfriend thing…I was trying to leave you alone. I guess I felt like I had to give your girlfriend that comfort.” I tried to explain. He frowned at me.

“You didn’t let me explain.” He said. I nodded.

“I know that. I’m sorry, but that doesn’t change how I feel.” I told him. I wasn’t trying to lead him to the fact that I liked Kikwang. At the moment I was more comfortable with Kikwang than Yoseob.

“D-do you….like him… like more than just a friend now?” He asked. I shook my head.

“No, at least I don’t think so.” I answered semi-truthfully.

“Okay.” He said. He looked down at his feet. He wouldn’t look up at me.

“Why do you ask? Is there a reason you don’t want me to like him like that?” I asked. I was just curious to know what his answer was.

“I just… I-I….I want you to be happy.” He told me. I was a little confused. If he wanted me to be so happy why did it seem like he caused me pain?

“Don’t worry about that Yoseob…let me find it on my own.”I told him. I didn’t know why, but I saw his face suddenly turn gloomy. I couldn’t figure out what I did to make him sad. I walked to him and hugged him.

The hug wasn’t the same as the other times I had hugged him before. This time it wasn’t as love felt. It made me feel….sad
