“How are you doing these days, Yuri?”

“...I'm fine...”

“Are you sure...?...You don't look fine to me...”

“It doesn't matter if I do or not...”

“Yuri...”

“...”

“Listen to me, I didn't want to leave you and you know that...”

“You could've stayed... it doesn't matter now, what's done is done.”

“...Yuri...at least give me one last chance to make it right...please...”

“Yoona...I'm sorry this is too sudden...I need time to think...”

“...okay...”

 

Yuri stood up and left the latter sitting alone in a cafe. Meeting Yoona just made her headache worse as she gets more increasing confused with how she feels.

 

She went back to her dorm room and laid on her bed for hours, fidgeting as she couldn't sleep with her thought getting in her way.

 

~Taeyeon and Jessica~

-That afternoon -

 

“Taeyeon-ah... Is this really necessary?” Jessica asked while raising an eyebrow

“Yeah, since you didn't bring any other clothes with us early all because they wanted to keep it a secret” Taeyeon pouted

 

Jessica stared at Taeyeon.

Taeyeon caressed the latter's cheek and smiled.

 

“Keep your hands on the wheels, Taeyeon-ah”

“Yes, ma'am” Taeyeon said, playfully

 

After 10 minutes, Taeyeon finally reached her destination.

 

Jessica looked at Taeyeon.

“-But here's expensive”

“Don't worry, we're just going to buy one for you”

“What does that mean...? Does that mean you'll buy a lot for yourself?”

“Nope, I'm not gonna buy any.” Taeyeon giggled

 

“Go on in” said Taeyeon as she lightly pushes Jessica to move forward

 

Taeyeon, having zero interests in dresses, sat down and let Jessica look around for what she likes.

 

After while Jessica finally picked a dress and walked over to Taeyeon and said

“I picked one, let's go back”

“Don't you need to try it on?”

“Do we have time left though?”

“Mhmm, go try it on then to make sure”

 

Jessica then left to try the dress on.

Being playful, Taeyeon tried to go in the fitting room where Jessica is changing.

Before Taeyeon can do anything, Jessica called for Taeyeon.

Caught off-guard, Taeyeon answered abruptly.

Feeling confused, Jessica asked

“Are you okay...?”

“Y-yeah, I'm fine”

“C-can you come in?”
“...o-okay”

 

The door slightly opens and Taeyeon went in.

“Wow...” said Taeyeon but Jessica didn't hear it

“Can you help me pull the zip up?”

“You do have a very y back though, darling” Taeyeon wiggled her eyebrows as she zips it up for Jessica

“Stop joking, Tae”

Taeyeon back hugs Jessica and whispers into her ears

“I'm being serious though”

“Tae, this is a fitting room” however Jessica didn't move an inch as her face is as red as a tomato

“I didn't do anything though”

Taeyeon kisses Jessica's cheek and left the fitting room. After that, Jessica changes and bought the dress.

 

After a few minutes, they reached the resort and went back to their room.

Taeyeon went in the shower and Jessica laid on the bed while reading a magazine provided by the resort.

Then, Taeyeon's phone rang and Jessica picked it up without looking looking at the caller ID.

 

“Taeyeon-ah, I'm sorry. Please give me another chance,please.”

It caught Jessica off-guard but it was evident that Tiffany cried a lot.

“...”

“Taeyeon-ah...”

“...I'm sorry...She's currently showering...”

The call ended right away and Jessica felt something, was it guilt or was it anger, whichever it was she didn't like it.

Taeyeon came out wearing a robe and is drying her hair with a towel.

She went to sit beside Jessica.

“Taeyeon-ah”

“mhmm?”

 

Jessica wanted to tell Taeyeon about the call but she couldn't bring herself to instead she avoided saying anything about it.

 

“Are you wearing anything asides the robe?”

“Nope...Wait...”

Taeyeon feeling playful, put her towels aside and slowly crawls towards Jessica and is on top of Jessica.

They looked into each other's eyes for awhile and Taeyeon leaned forward and kissed Jessica.

Feeling Jessica's hand slowly sliding up to Taeyeon's neck.

“T-tae...we n-need to get r-ready”

Taeyeon pulls away and looked into Jessica's eyes.

“I...”

“Hmm...?”

“I just really really like you, Sica-yah”

“Me too...”

Jessica pulls the self-tie belt off Taeyeon's robe

“Go change into something”

“Mm okay”

“wow...”

“Did you say something?” Taeyeon turned around to look at Jessica

Jessica shook her head and smiled

 

Then, they heard a knock on the door and since Taeyeon is changing, Jessica went to open the door instead and someone who looks like a butler stood there.

 

Jessica, feeling confused, asked if there was something going on and the butler bows and informs her that Taeyeon's father will be downstairs waiting and left.

 

“Taeyeon-ah”

“Yeah? Who was that?”

“I don't know but he told me that your father would be downstairs waiting”

“Okay, Let's go?”

“Okay...”

“Are you nervous?”

“Maybe just a little...”

“Don't worry, I'll always be with you”

“Promise?”

“Mhmm, promise”

 

Taeyeon held Jessica's hand and went down to the restaurant.

Taeyeon's father saw them and raised his hand to get the two's attention.

Taeyeon looked at Jessica and reassured her that it will go smoothly.

 

“Nice to meet you, Jessica.”

“Nice to meet you too, Sir...”

“Please just call me Dad, I feel like that'd be more comfortable for the two of us”

“Dad! Stop pressuring her” Taeyeon cut in suddenly

“But I just want her to be comfortable around me that's all” Taeyeon's father pouted a little.

 

Seeing how Taeyeon and her father is so alike, shocked Jessica a little but she managed to get slightly comfortable around Taeyeon's father a little.

 

“Taeyeon-ah, please help me get a drink”

“But dad-”

“Just do it”

 

Taeyeon turned to Jessica and told her that she would be right back.

 

“What do you want?”

“Coffee would be great, thanks Taeyeon-ah”

“Fine, fine...”

 

Jessica felt awkward sitting alone with Taeyeon's father and looked around awkwardly.

 

“So..., Jessica, how are you doing these days?”

“Better than before nowadays...thanks to Taeyeon...”

“I see...She hasn't caused any problems for you, has she?”

“No, she's been kind to me these days.”

“I see...It's amazing how fast you can make her open herself up to you...”

“...” Jessica stayed quiet and continued to listen

“She's been so quiet, she hasn't told me anything and ignored most of the people around her...It seems like you have a positive impact on her. So, thank you for that.”

“No...She's helped me a lot too. To be honest with you, Sir-”

“Like I said, just call me Dad”

“O-okay, Dad, to be honest, I was that way too until I met her...”

“I know...She told me earlier on.”

“Oh...”

“I was curious.”

“Excuse me...?”

“I was just curious, what kind of person would be able to open my daughter's heart once again. If she causes you any trouble, don't hesitate to tell me, okay?”

“Yes, si-, I mean, Dad.”

 

Taeyeon came back with the cup of coffee and sat down beside Jessica.

 

“Did my father do anything dumb while I was gone?”

“I was just telling her how you slipped on your own pee in the toilet when you were 7” Taeyeon's father said casually as he sipped his coffee.

“What?! Why?!”

“Because it's funny”

 

Jessica looked at the two with amusement and turned to look at Taeyeon with a curious expression.

 

“Did you really?”

 

Taeyeon's face turned red.

 

“I-i might have- but that doesn't matter anymore”

 

The dinner was filled with laughter as they reminisced about Taeyeon's past. Taeyeon was really embarrassed as all her embarrassing secrets has been revealed meanwhile Jessica has really warmed up to Taeyeon's father.

 

The two of them went back to their room and laid on the bed with exhaustion.

 

“Sica-yah”

“Hmm?”

“Did my father say anything to you in particular?”

“Not really, he just said thanks that's all that you didn't know”

“Oh...”

“Taeyeon-ah, I have something to tell you...”

“What is it?”

“Someone called you when you were showering earlier...”

“Oh? Who was it?”

“...It was Tiffany...”

Jessica looked down at her own hands and fiddled around.

Taeyeon noticed it and held Jessica's hands.

“Look at me, Jessica...”

Jessica slowly lifted her head up and looked into Taeyeon's eyes.

 

“No matter what she does or says, there is absolutely no way I'm going back to her. It's a fact that I used to love her but no one can change the fact that she hurt me. I'll be honest with you, I've wondered why or what was wrong with me that she could walk away from me so easily without a second thought but that's the past and my future is you. So, please, stop doubting me or my feelings for you because I'm sincere towards you.”

“I'm sorry, Taeyeon-ah”

Taeyeon pulled Jessica into her arms and caressed her hair.

“I love you so much, I can't change our past but I know we can have a future together. So, please trust me.”

“I do...”

Jessica's eyes teared up a bit. Taeyeon pulled away and wiped her tears off with her thumb.

“She...was crying...and asking for a second chance...”

“It doesn't matter to me now, what matters to me is you.”

“I...I love you, Taeyeon-ah...”

“I love you too...”

Taeyeon smiled and wiped the tears off Jessica's face.

 

“Do you want to go shower first?”

“Okay...I'll be quick”

 

Jessica grabbed a towel and went in.

 

Taeyeon left the room and went out to make a quick call.

 

“Tiffany...”

“Taeyeon-ah!”

“Please...stop calling me from now on...”

“b-but why...don't you love me?”

“That was before you left me...”

“Is it because of Jessica?”

“Partially, but even if it's not because of her or even if she didn't appear in front of me, I wouldn't go back to you, not after what you did to hurt me...”

“I...”

“I have to go...please stop calling me anymore...”

 

Taeyeon hung up and went back up to the room and saw that Jessica was drying her hair with a robe on.

 

“Oh, I see that you're copying me now?”

“I just want to test it out, see if it's comfortable.”

“Is it?”

“Mhmm, but where did you go?”

“I had to call someone.”

“Who is it?”

“Tiffany, I had to ask her to stop calling me.”

“Oh...how did she react?”

“Before she could say anything more, I hung up.”

“...Are you okay...?”

“Sure, I mean, I am looking at a very beautiful girl right now.”

“Huh, where?” Jessica looked around playfully.

Taeyeon walked towards Jessica and kissed her.

“Right here. I'll go shower now.”

“O-okay”

 

Taeyeon went in the shower and sighed, thinking about what to do next.

She wondered why Tiffany would suddenly turn back and ask for a second chance but she shook it off, not wanting to think about it as it is already too late to mend their long-gone relationship.

 

Feeling lazy to actually wear clothes, Taeyeon wore the robe that she wore earlier and went out to see Jessica reading a novel.

 

Taeyeon laid her head on top of Jessica's stomach to gain attention from the latter but failed as Jessica is too concentrated on her novel. Jessica, still reading her novel, caressed Taeyeon's hair without looking away from her novel.

 

Taeyeon felt peaceful and continued to stare at Jessica until she fell asleep, on Jessica's stomach.

 

After a while, Jessica noticed Taeyeon fell asleep and tried to move her but Taeyeon woke up.

 

“You're finally done reading?”

“Mhmm”

“Are you tired?”

“A little...Why?”

“Nothing, Let's go to sleep”

“Taeyeon-ah”

“What?”

 

Jessica leaned in and kissed Taeyeon's cheek.

 

“Nothing, goodnight.”

 

Taeyeon smiled and pulls Jessica in for a kiss and pulled away.

 

“Goodnight, Sica-yah”

 

Jessica fell asleep, in Taeyeon's arms. Meanwhile Taeyeon stares at Jessica as the latter sleeps peacefully and falls asleep minutes later.
