“Call the welfare house so I can make a reservation & stay there?” He asked comically, while she pouted.

“I’m not going to kick you out. Call any fast food if you don’t want to cook.” She sighed, making him laugh at her.

“You eat so much, aren’t you afraid you’ll get fat & no one wants to marry you?” He asked, inching closer to the phone while gazing at her tenderly.

“You want me.” She smiled.

“What? What did you say?” He asked in utter disbelief.

“Uh? What did I say? Oh no, I’m not worried at all since gaining weight is good.”

“Whoa, I think I need to re-take my psychology paper. I didn’t know that woman nowadays like to eat a lot.” “Well, not necessarily all.” She whispered meaningfully, causing him to chuckle at her words.

“You’re not afraid you won’t get married?” He asked, all of a sudden.

“Why should I? I could always drag you to church & force you to say I do. I still have a promise to keep, you know.” She shrugged & stood up, leaving his jaw to drop. He stammered for a while, pondering & still processing what she had just said.
