"surprises: it's either good or bad"

It was a very hectic week for me. I lack sleep because of work. I was like a moving zombie. Heechul was not calling me either. Well, actually nobody does, for a whole week. No calls, no messages, no anything; especially from Kris, and that frustrates me further.

*beep*

One message from Kris

“finally” I say and open the message

A package will be coming for you today, it’s a dress. Wear it tonight. Look pretty. Meet me at the lobby of Diamond Hotel at 5 pm, early dinner with family. I’ll be looking forward to see you. – K.

And as if on cue, my secretary enters while holding a big box for me.

“ma’am, this came in just now. Mr. Wu also told me that you should prepare by now because it’s already 3 pm” he smiles and puts the box down.

“why are you smiling like that?” I asked my secretary

“nothing.” He chuckles and leaves.

“why is everyone acting weird?” I say and open the box

And behold a beautiful blue and white dress surprises me. I lift it up and a note falls

“hurry up. Don’t be late. I’ll be waiting”

“what’s the date today?”

“it’s January 6 ma’am” my secretary says

I think I almost had a heart attack. “I thought you’re going to leave early” I said as I clutched the dress

“Mr. Wu wanted to make sure that you get there on time” he says and closes the door “I’ll be driving you to the hotel ma’am”

“oh, okay. Give me 10 minutes”

The ride was silent and I had a nervous feeling about this. Something didn’t feel right about this dinner. The car comes to a stop in front of the hotel’s main entrance

“good evening, madam.” The bell boy says as he opens the door

“good evening.” I smile at him and enter the lobby

Hm. That’s odd. The lobby’s empty.

Kris suddenly comes out of the elevator

“hi, baby” he smiles and takes my hand

“where’s uncle and auntie?”

“they’re waiting at the upstairs café.” He smiles and leads me to the elevator

Kris suddenly blindfolds me “I knew there was something fishy going on”

“trust me” he whispers and I shiver

He leads me out of the elevator. After a minute of walking, we stop

“stand here. Hold this”

Kris puts something on hand.

Flowers?

I suddenly hear doors opening

Somebody removes my blindfold and a wedding march song plays

Wait what? Wedding march? What the hell is happening?

“move.” Heechul gives me a little push

I start walking in the aisle. Kris was at the end of the aisle with a priest.

Oh god. This can’t be.

And then I realize that all of our closest friends were there. His family. My sister. Our high school friends.

They were all smiling at me

I reach Kris. he holds out his hand for me.

I slowly take it.

“dearly beloved. We are gathered here today…”

I want to faint. This cannot happen again. I thought that contract was a joke.

I was so lost in my thoughts that they priest was already calling on me

“I do.” I absentmindedly say

“you may now kiss the bride”

I was taken back to reality when Kris kissed me

“I present to you, Mr and Mrs Kris Wu”
