Hii~ I'm releasing two chapters at one go for this time as I need to prepare for my exams next. I will be back after two weeks. :)

Sungmin lay in bed, smiling at the funny moments he had just went through with his vampire family tonight.

He opened his bedside drawer and took out the photo frame. He stared at the faces in the photo that were supposed to be his human family.

Sungmin has lost his memories after transformation, which usually doesn’t happen for other humans who turned vampires. He only managed to gather a few pieces of information about himself from his wallet and a family photo. From the photo, he appeared to have a brother before. Sungmin always wondered how his brother’s voice was like, how he will look if he isn’t smiling like he is in the photo, how close they were…

“Minnie? Are you asleep?” Leeteuk knocked on the door.

“Come in, hyung.”

“Did you forget vampires don’t need sleep?” Sungmin smiled widely at Leeteuk as he walked towards him on the bed.

“Hahaha, I didn’t. But our Sungminnie likes sleeping too much to forgo it. I don’t want to disturb you if you want to rest.” Leeteuk sat down on the side of Sungmin’s bed. He fell silent as he saw the photo in Sungmin’s hand.

~LT: This boy is thinking about his family again…

“I know I shouldn’t keep doing that, hyung. But I want to be able to imagine how they are living, who they are, even if I cannot meet them anymore.” Sungmin understood Leeteuk’s worries.

“Aii, I should learn to control my thoughts in front of you!” Leeteuk joked.

“Try harder, hyung~” Sungmin giggled at Leeteuk’s exaggerated expression.

“You know you can ask around to hear about how they are doing right? You might just meet them one day anyway…”

“I know… but I’m afraid I can’t control myself from approaching them if I hear about them.” Sungmin’s voice faded and a little crease formed on his forehead.

“It’s okay, Min. You still have us.” Leeteuk takes Sungmin’s hand in his and patted him lightly.

“Yeah, Ohana.” Sungmin smiled sweetly; he knows they will forever be with him.

“So how did the first day of school go? Made any friends yet?” Leeteuk went into the main topic of the conversation.

“Other than the introductory talk, it was quite fun. Hyukjae and Donghae brought me around in school and we even ate at the cafeteria. The food was so awesome! But…” Sungmin frowned at the thought of the fangirls.

“But?”

“The girls were a bit noisy and…scary.”

Leeteuk laughed at the baby bunny, who pouted at him.

“Aiigo, our Sungminnie must be so popular!~ You better don’t go around hurting people’s feelings!”

“I don’t think people will fall for me, hyung. They were just curious about the transfer student… Oh, I had lab session after such a long while! Even though it was just basic tests, it was so fun being able to play with chemicals again!” Sungmin’s face lit up.

“Glad to hear that you’re enjoying lessons. What about the friends?”

“It’s too early to talk about friends, hyung! It’s only the first day! Most of the girls just discussed about me from a distance and the guys don’t care about me. There were two girls who introduced themselves to me during lab session though – Jessica and Yoona if I didn’t remember wrongly. My lab partner was a guy, but he wasn’t very friendly and I ended up talking to the professor instead.” Sungmin tried to recall the faces he met in the lab.

“Not friendly? Did you take the initiative to talk to him?” Leeteuk knew Sungmin was the kind to keep to himself unless people approached him.

Sungmin shook his head. “I didn’t hear any of his thoughts somehow, so I thought he wasn’t interested in making friends with me. And I was more interested in the chemicals anyway. Hehe.”

“Didn’t hear his thoughts? Wow, that’s rare for a human who can control his thoughts. But serious, Min. You gotta open up more to people. It’s good to have some human friends even if you have to hide your identity from them. You can’t just have us.”

“Why not?” Sungmin pouted again.

“Social life, Min. It’s all about getting to know people and learning how to handle your relationships with them! And it will give you some training on controlling your thirst too. I said this the previous time, didn’t I?”

“Yeah…Okay…” Sungmin looked down at the pink blanket over his legs.

“Promise me you will try to be more sociable, kay?
If not I’m going to make Hyukjae and Donghae do something about it.”

“No thanks, hyung. I can live without those two lovebirds.” The image of Hyukjae and Donghae kissing too passionately appeared in Sungmin’s mind and a disgusted expression formed on his face.  

“Okay then. I need to go tuck the birthday boy into bed too. ” Leeteuk stood up and spread the blanket properly for Sungmin.

“Have a good rest, our Sungminnie~” Leeteuk pushed Sungmin’s blond fringe up with his hand and planted a kiss on his forehead.

With an exasperated expression on his face, Sungmin tugged his blanket tighter. “Eww, hyung.”

He always felt a tinge of disgust whenever Leeteuk did that, but he couldn’t deny that he felt loved and warm at heart.

Leeteuk chuckled, turned off the lights and closed the door.

The next few days were typical school days. Sungmin familiarized himself with the school compound fast as Eunhyuk and Donghae were busy with dance practice for the Orientation Day performance and couldn’t bring him around. He listened to Leeteuk’s advice to talk to people first, but the conversations usually ended after greeting.

Sungmin stood under the stage, watching Eunhyuk and Donghae’s dance performance with the school dance club. He envied Hyukjae’s smooth moves and giggled a little when he saw Donghae’s overuse of his hips.
