A/N: Sorry for the delay. Couldn't decide what I wanted them to do for the date. :P

Kyuhyun waited by the bus stop, excited for Sungmin to appear. He rubbed the ring on his left hand, tracing the two straight bars that span across his middle and ring finger. When Sungmin had mentioned a date, he was already running through the things he want to do and his outfit for the day. He made a mental note that he would definitely wear the ring out. It was after all the only gift he got from Sungmin so far.

Sungmin strode towards the bus stop, where a guy with dark khaki pants sat at. He was wearing a red-checkered dress shirt, with the front having a patch of white.

Sungmin walked behind Kyuhyun softly and whispered by his ear.

“Kyuhyun-ah~”

“AH.” Kyuhyun jumped up from his seat.

“Yah! Don’t scare me like that!” Kyuhyun slapped Sungmin on his arm.

“Oww!” Kyuhyun retracted his hand swiftly and looked at his reddened palm.

“Are you okay?” Sungmin pulled Kyuhyun’s palm over to look. “Don’t hit me so hard next time. You are just going to hurt yourself.”

“Why are you so hard like a rock!” Kyuhyun complained.

“Not my choice.” Sungmin grinned as he rubbed against Kyuhyun’s palm. The coldness from Sungmin’s hand seeped into Kyuhyun’s, reducing the pain.

Kyuhyun scanned Sungmin's outfit. He was wearing a black dress shirt, with light brown pants. It was simple, but Sungmin was nevertheless gorgeous.

“You have the ring too!” Kyuhyun's eyes landed on the bar ring on Sungmin’s right hand.

“Mmh, couple ring.” Sungmin held his hand up in the air, admiring the ring.

Kyuhyun followed and did the same.

“Yours has the metallic black bar on top of the silver one while mine is the other way round.” Sungmin pointed out the difference.

“Why? Is it just a design?” Kyuhyun asked.

“They look like chopsticks to me – coming in a pair, one unable to function without another. The metallic black one is me and the silver one represents you.” Sungmin said.

“Why can’t I be the metallic black one? You are always shiny to me.”

“I get to choose because I bought them, okay?” Sungmin stuck his tongue out at Kyuhyun for a moment, before he turned serious again. “For you, I want you to know I will always be on the outside protecting you. And for me… It’s a reminder for myself to always put you before me. Not that I actually need a reminder, but well…”

“Well, I can say the same thing too. I will always be protecting you.” Kyuhyun pointed to Sungmin’s ring, and then moved to his own. “And I will always put you before myself.”

“It is my way because I bought them, okay?” Sungmin chuckled and grabbed Kyuhyun’s hand, interlocking their fingers together. 
“So where are we going today?”

Kyuhyun breathed deeply, trying to slow down his heart beat that started to race.
“Just… follow me.”

“Lead the way then.” Sungmin smiled at Kyuhyun, sending another wave of electricity through him.

Will I ever get used to this?!

“Really, Kyuhyun?! A PC Bang?”

“How do you know? We are not even there yet!” Kyuhyun looked up at Sungmin in surprise.

“All the guys going in the same direction is thinking about games, games and more games!”

“Oh right, eerie mind reading~~” Kyuhyun grinned. “You don’t like games?”

“More like I don’t play such games.” Sungmin said grimly.

“Just for an hour? Pleaseeeee?” Kyuhyun begged. “I really want to play Starcraft with you.”

“Hmm… Then I get to decide what we are going to do after lunch.”

“But you said I could plan for our date!” Kyuhyun whined.

“Yeah, but plans change.” Sungmin smiled cheekily. “So, do you want to play Starcraft or not?”

Kyuhyun stopped in the streets, musing over the deal. He had planned for a vampire horror film in the afternoon, wanting to check Sungmin’s reaction and hide behind his shoulder when the scary scenes appear. But he decided Starcraft is more important.

“Fine, two hours of Starcraft and you get to do what you want in the afternoon.”

“Sneaky, one hour became two eh? Okay, deal.”

“You weren’t as bad as I expected.” Kyuhyun put a spoon of the shaved ice dessert into his mouth.

“I had a fair amount of time to copy your skills as we walked there.” Sungmin answered nonchalantly, more interested in the dessert before them.

They had teamed up to play against others in the first hour, ending in a fair amount of wins and loses. Sungmin had won against Kyuhyun in their first individual game, courtesy of Kyuhyun, before losing all the following games to Kyuhyun.

“But I still won in the end~” Kyuhyun sang happily and Sungmin chuckled at his cute expression.

“So where are we going after lunch?”

“You will know when we get there.”

“Kyuhyun! Let go of the railing!” Sungmin tugged on Kyuhyun’s arm, but both of Kyuhyun’s hands seemed to be stuck onto the railing with glue.

“No! I’m going to fall!” Kyuhyun yelled. He put strength in his legs, trying to keep them still.

“You won’t. I’ll hold you!” Sungmin didn’t know if he should be crying or laughing at Kyuhyun’s little stubbornness.

“I’ll fall! Why did we having to come to the ice skating rink?!” Kyuhyun yelled without looking at Sungmin standing behind him. He was afraid to even turn his head.

“Because you promised I get to decide what to do after lunch if I play Starcraft with you.” Sungmin chanted monotonously for the fifth time.

“But we could have done something else!” Kyuhyun whined. “I hate sports! Especially skating.”

“That’s because you are not good at it. But everything comes with practice.” Sungmin tried to convince. “Come on!” Sungmin held out his hand to Kyuhyun again. “I’ll leave the next date to you if you let me teach you how to ice-skate.”

“No! You are going to say plans change again and make me do another crazy thing!”

“This is not crazy.”
