Boy Meets Girl: The Beginning

“Kris?”

After 100 years, Naeun finally called him. Kris gratefully sighed. He felt his energy filled in his body.

“I’m sorry. I was so busy. I had meetings.”

“That’s fine.” He answered.

“I see you called me for 20 times. Are you really okay? Did something come up?”

Kris suddenly felt guilty. He cleared his throat.

“Oh nothing. I just missed you. I really thought something happened there because you weren’t answering me.”

Naeun chuckled from the other line, fixing her hair. She had to meet up with the Go Industry’s new heir, Go Seok Jin.

“I miss you too, Kris. I really gotta go. Call me later. Love you, tower.”

Then the line went dead. For the 20 missed calls, the short amount of time they talked mattered because of the tower. Kris had missed her calling him tower.

He felt himself smile. It really felt so good to have someone by your side even if the distance wants to separate you away. Then the doors swung open revealing Nana in her casual outfit, hair tied up into a ponytail. Kris eyed her.

“Your model chic is back.”

“Do you want some coffee or—“

“No thanks. I dropped by the Starbucks.” Naeun smiled as she sat down on the black chair. Jin swallowed. He remembered the incident but the lies could cover it, for the meantime. And it’s not even a big deal to settle.

Jin decided to shift the topic. “I was expecting for your secretary to come but instead you did.” He said, watching her every movement.

“I personally visit my colleagues. No need to worry. About your company, I really haven’t asked you about it, except in the meeting, how did it really fall, Seok Jin-ssi.”

“Just Ji—Just Seok Jin.” He nervously smiled. He almost got caught. But Naeun didn’t seem to mind it.

“Seok Jin? Oh. You have the same Jin with the guy I met days ago. It was you, right?”

Jin pretended that he doesn’t know him, the other Jin though his hands were sweating in fear. He shook his head while handing out a document stating the reasons why their company is in downhill.

“I’m really sorry. It’s just that you look like him. Anyways, if that’s the case, call me Naeun. Drop the formalities.” Naeun smiled and something hit Jin’s heart again.

“Okay, Naeun. You want to see the other departments of the Go Industry?”

“Sure. A grand tour?”

“More like it.” Jin chuckled, standing up and walked towards the door. “Shall we?” He opened the door for her and Naeun couldn’t help but laughed at his silliness.

“So this is our last stop, the Hall of Fame.” Jin said, stepping away to let her see.

Naeun gaped at the countless awards this company had achieved. She looked at the amount of certificates and trophies placed on the wall. Naeun was in state of disbelief. Jin was having fun watching her.

“My dad, the former CEO, really likes seeing himself or the company succeeds so he decided to put on this Hall of Fame for him to be reminded that he did. But now...” Jin’s words trailed off.

Naeun turned to him and sympathetically patted his shoulder.

“Honda Group’s will be your support. Don’t be. You’ll be back on track once—“

Naeun gasped.

Jin widened his eyes in shock. Naeun had been poured by cold water on the head by a lady. He pulled Naeun to him.

The lady was no other than Jin’s ex. Tiffany Hwang.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” She smirked, looking at Naeun from head to toe. Naeun’s hair was soaked wet, dripping in coldness. Her dress was fairly wet.

“Security! Security!” Jin called out. He was furious.

“What on earth are you doing here? Security!”

In an instant, two securities were running towards them. Jin was glaring at her.

Tiffany flipped her hair. “That should be asked. You replaced me—get your hands off me—Oppa!” She had been dragged out by the guards and they could only hear her faint yells. Jin groaned and turned his attention to Naeun.

His secretary came running.

“Young master, what happened?”

“Get me a towel. Miss Kim is cold.” Then his secretary left.

“Hey, are you okay? I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to.” Jin said, creased his eyebrows in concern. Naeun pulled away slowly and nodded.

“No, it’s not your fault. Where’s your rest room?” She asked, checking her dress.

“I’ll show you. I’m so sorry.”

Jin bit his lip. Why did that Tiffany bothered to show up?

He was clearly pissed.
