School day has ended and you went to Hyunseong’s class.

You saw him talking with his friends.

He nodded but his eyes were full of sadness and regret.

You never felt butterflies in your stomach like you did when you were with Hyunseong.

You eventually broke up with him after graduation.

Your friends started worrying about you and decided to cheer you up.

You went to Lotte World with your friends.

You pretended you were happy for their sake.

Your friends brought you to almost every ride in Lotte World.

Last but not the least was the roller coaster ride.

Feeling tired and scared of the ride, you decided to sit out on this ride.

Your friends gave in and left you sitting on the bench while they went to ride the roller coaster.

You let your eyes wander around the park.

While you were scanning the booths your eyes darted at a couple buying cotton candy.

You were surprised to see Hyunseong again.

But that feeling of surprise vanished when you realized he was with his new girlfriend.

Your heart ached as you saw him handing her the pink cotton candy with his usual charming smile.

You missed seeing that smile, you thought.

Somehow he felt someone was staring at him and he looked at your way.

You met eyes with him.

Unlike before when he always smile after he sees you, this time it was the complete opposite.

You saw a hint of surprise in his eyes but his smile completely disappeared.

You couldn’t bear to look at his expression so you ran away.

Your eyes blurred with unshed tears but you sitll kept running.

All you know is that you have to escape.

You came into a small garden, out of the view from the people inside Lotte World.

You tried to catch your breath as you finally shed your tears.

Footsteps came nearer and stopped just right behind you. You hesitantly turned.

You were taken aback. It was Hyunseong.

He saw your tears and momentarily softened his expression.

He caught himself and immediately looked at you, expressionless.

What you saw was his cold eyes.

You immediately wiped your tears away. You didn’t want him to see you crying.

“Long time no see.” he casually said.

You pretended a smile and nodded.

He didn’t buy your fake smile though.

He glanced around like he was looking for someone.

“Are you alone?” he asked.

You shook your head “I’m with my friends.” you briefly answered.

A minute of an awkward silence passed.

“It’s nice seeing you again.” he said and his heel.

When you saw him leaving, all the emptiness you’ve been feeling all this time came rushing through you.

If you don’t do anything now then everything will be too late, you thought.

You remembered the girl he was with, beautiful and young.

‘I guess it’s already too late.’ you muttered.

‘But if you don’t tell him what you really feel, you are going to regret it all your life.’ a small voice nagged at you.

You ran after Hyunseong and hugged him from the back.

You felt him stiffened.

He tried to remove your hands around him but you tightened your hold.

“Please hear me out first.” you pleaded.

He stayed still and you gained your courage to speak your heart out.

“I’m sorry for what I did to you Hyunseong-ah. I’ve regretted it all this time.”

Your throat began to tighten with a lump and tears brimmed your eyes.

“I still love you and~” you couldn’t finish as you started sobbing.

You heard him chuckled and tore your hands away from him.

He turned to you and said. “I would be a pabo if I come back to the person who once hurt me.”

After hearing the cold truth out of his mouth you covered your face and helplessly cried hard.

“Mianhe, I just thought you should know. I know you already have a girlfriend.” you said as your voice quivered.

You felt his arms around you. You looked up to see him smiling at you.

“Apparently, I’m a pabo.” he sighed. “Wait, what?” you asked, confused.

“Mimi is my cousin, I’m here with the family and~” he paused.

“I’m still in love with you too.” He gently said.

You cried but this time it was because you were overwhelmed with happiness.
