Fire
Poems(Random, Different Kind)Fire
A blaze, and five children were crying.
They were lock in an inferno.
Fear was consuming them whole.
Their little lungs were choking on smoke.
Tears were cascading their faces.
There was nowhere to run or hide.
Heat was surrounding them.
Touching them.
They cried for their parents.
They pleaded for help.
They called out the best they could.
Shouted on top of their lungs.
Desperate for air.
Every second pleading for mercy.
Death was lingering with them.
No one could come close to them.
Their father was frantic to save them.
The brave firemen were there with their hearts on their sleeves.
They tried to get to them the soonest but the fire held them back.
Even in the midst of the chaos people tried to help them.
Children are everyone's children.
The heroes were the ordinary people.
Mastering strength from somewhere.
Death was watching nonchalantly.
Writer's note: Composed Aug. 31, 2018 because of the news I read and watched about 5 children dying in their home because of a fire. I still can't get over it, and I needed to write about it to get it out of my head.
