Beautiful Life

She is too conscious of herself, 

Too conscious of eyes on her, 

Feeling they are always gazing at her.

She's having a hard day, 

And having a very hard time. 

 Everything hurts,

Everywhere hurts, 

Almost, at best of times,

 She is getting used to it. 

But there are days, 

Just like today, 

It is almost unbearable.

It takes all her courage, 

All her willpower, 

To endure it.

She would rather sleep it off,

Forget the pain,

Even for just awhile,

If only she could.

There is no getting away from it,

Sleep doesn't help,

She even dreams of it.

She is so pale,

And became so frail.

She always treasured her hair, 

She is losing her long locks of hair,

And she can't stop it.

Soon, too soon,

It will all be gone.

 She feels so tired, 

And looks it too.

Fight, 

She has to fight,

Ferociously,

Tenaciously,

Deligently, 

Determinedly.

Take a strong grip on hope, 

Praying tomorrow will still come. 

Words left her, 

She has no words to her love ones,

She is sorry, 

She is thankful to them, 

She loves them, 

But she does not wish to say goodbye.

Hugs seems so lame, 

But what else could she do.

Taking time to see friends,

Talking about nothing and everything,

Trying to laugh at smallest of jokes,

Trying to see a light beyond the tunnel.

Smiling, while trying not to think,

Living life for the moment.

Stealing every chance,

Breathing every breath,

Living life. 

Today is a brand new day.
