Can't Remember to Forget You

“What?!” Kris shouted incredulously.

They were currently having a meeting; Chen and Suho were giving a presentation on the quarterly sales of the company. They were experiencing a decline in sales as severe as 50%. This was partly due to Kris' inability to come to work every single day and lead the company. Since Dara left, he spent most of his days locked up in his room, delegating his CEO duties to Lay and Kai. But what did they know? They studied business and finance focusing on stock investments; although Kris' company revolved around those concepts, selling furniture was different from selling stocks.  It took the strength of D.O, Baekhyun, Luhan and Sehun to get him out of bed that day and into his working attire. Now, here he was, slumped into his chair, too drunk to even comprehend what was unfolding before him. His company was going bankrupt, and soon enough, workers will have to be laid off. The factory to which they usually brought their designs to for the production of actual furniture was too expensive now. They needed to choose a low quality, cheap labor factory. The promised commission for their designers were also quickly forgotten. 

Quickly, news of the Wu Yifan Furniture Industries' decline shook the world. Some were interested in buying it—take over its shares and create a rebranded company under the same market. Others wanted to simply ingest it—take it out of the competition and let the other leaders of the furniture business prosper and monopolize. However, Kris was adamant. After shaping up, he consulted his best friends. Chen told him that he needed to refinance the company, to make the necessary adjustments needed. Lay told him that he needed to sell it, to cut all his losses. Xiumin gave him the choice that sounded ridiculous in theory but doable in real life—it was to marry Sulli, inherit her dad's company, and bring back Wu Yifan Furniture Industries. Everyone could guess which Kris chose.

"So you're saying this business venture would be beneficial for the both of us. How so?" Mr. Choi, Sulli's dad, asked one night as he and Kris shared conversation over dinner. 

"Well for one, you would know that your daughter is secure as she's taken care of. Also, your company would have power over the furniture business as well. Aren’t those enough reasons?" Kris stated. ‘Hook, line and sinker,’ he thought. 

"You've got yourself a deal son,” Mr. Choi answered.

Therefore, Mr. Choi bought Wu Yifan Industries, and Kris was to wed Sulli. Sulli was ecstatic. Kris was her dream man—dependable, handsome, and amazing in bed. News of their engagement spread throughout the world. South Korea was in a storm of glee and surpris
