It was on a cold winter night when Soonyoung first met Seol Mi, on the last subway of the night.

Seol Mi was asleep, worn out from all her part time jobs. He was quietly admiring her pale figure.

He was in fact infatuated by the sleeping girl.

Seoul St. Mary Hospital was where they met the second time. She was a patient and he was her appointed doctor.

Seol Mi was diagnosed with Leukemia, and she only had 2 years at most to live.

"What's it like to be happy and free of worries. It's like you'll wake up one day, realising you have a future awaiting. No obstacles, nothing to stop you from smiling?" Seol Mi asked Soonyoung.

"I don't remember the last time I've been happy. There's always endless jobs, endless worries about this and that. I never had someone who's there to comfort me when I'm sad or depressed. It's always me, I'm always alone." 

Soonyoung watched as Seol Mi let a single tear fall. 

Soonyoung wiped her tear away and pulled her into an embrace.

"I'll be happy, as long as you're here by my side, Seol Mi. I've been happy since the day I met you. I've count the hours until I could see you."

"I'll make you happy Seol Mi. I will be there when you're depressed, when you have tons on your mind to worry about. I'll be the one to help you counter all the obstacles. I'll be here Seol Mi. Please stay with me."

Seol Mi looked at him, in the verge of tears once again.

"Soonyoung, but I cannot stay with you for long. I'm dying, and you can't stop that obstacle. One day you'll wake up, realizing I'm dead, Soonyoung, dead. I will not see the lights again. Soonyoung,

I'm a dying person."
