"Chaerin? Where are you?"

"I'm here! What's the matter?"

"What are you doing?! Go and get the new shoes out of the store! The customers are waiting!"

"Okay, I'll be right back."

"Hurry up!"

I moan while reaching for the shoe boxes.

Then I can see the shadow of my boss, a chubby lady middle aged, in the doorway.

"Hurry, hurry! I don't pay you for wasting time!", she shouts.

I feel totally miserable to be treated like that. I'm an adult, she shouldn't act like I'm a kid.

I lower my face and leave the store, both hands full of boxes.

My boss follows me and shows at two women.

"Go and sell them those goddamn shoes.", she orders.

I nod.

My job is to force people in an overdone way to buy shoes they actually don't need.

And my boss is lurking for me to do a mistake. She's so pleased to take away the pride of her employees, especially mine.

"Hello, may I help you?", I ask the two women.

They seem surprised, but start smiling.

"Well, could you recommend us some shoes?", one of them asks.

 "Of course I can, let me get you some."

I turn around and look at my boss. She's watching me strictly.

After a few seconds I found some nice high heels and also some sneakers.

"Those are incredibly good for partying and those for taking a walk. I've already tried them, they are of the best quality!"

The two of them are looking sceptical, they seem to think about it.

"And look!", I show to the blue dress of the blonde "They match your clothes so well! You could directly wear them!"

"Maybe..."

I interrupt her. "They are all on sale! You only have to pay half of the price!"

Now they're smiling.

I did my job well.

They grab the shoes and walk over to the counter.

My boss comes over to me and pats, roughly, my shoulder.

"Well done, but that is just what I expect. Don't feel like you did a great thing, it's nothing to be proud of.", she whispers in my ear and her warm breath makes me go shaking.

I clench my fists and hold my breath. Only five minutes left!

"Tomorrow I wanna see you work harder!", my boss shouts after me as I finally leave the shop.

I smirk and put on my headphones.

Someday I gonna throw this job away and then she'll kneel infront of my feet and beg me to stay.

But this is bullying at the working place. That's nothing to joke about.

I really can't stand it anymore, even if I look like I'd do.

I need some distraction. Let's see which club is the hottest tonight.

It's dark and I'm walking through a small alley.

I put on my hood to look more dangerous towards erts.

My music is loud and I start dancing. The road is bumpy and I almost fall as suddenly someone grabs my arm.

I tear myself away, shocked.

"Hey! Never touch me again!", I scream.

"Sssht! Don't be afraid."

This voice sounds so calm, so soft.

But I can't see anything, the next street light is some meters away.

"Who are you?", I ask shaky.

"Does it really matter?", the voice answers. It's a boy's voice.

"Hmh..", I shuffle with my feet. I'm leaning against a wall made of stones.

"What is a girl doing alone at this time?", the boy wants to know.

"Looking for distraction from the most terrible place I know..", I mumble.

His voice seems to come from a slightly elevated location.

"You look like you're looking for some adventure."

"When it's fun - always."

Finally the boy switches on a flashlight and directs it on my face.

I'm blinded.

"Hey! Let me see your face now!", I shout.

"Keep calm!", he laughs shyly, then turns around the lamp and I can see him.

A cute boy. A boy you would always depend on. A boy you can always trust in. And a boy who shouldn't be outside at this time and especially not at this place.

He stretches out his arm.

"Come on, Lady. Let's experience an adventure."

I hesitate for a moment but decide to grab his hand.

I'm ready to try something new.
