I don’t wanna be someone who walks so easily
I’m here to stay and make the difference that I can make

Krystal drove to the park they’ll be meeting. It was their monthly date for the public’s eye and Minho called her to come already since he was already there. The feeling from last night was still fresh in her mind and she secretly liked it. Liking her husband was never a bad thing, she just wanted to stay low for awhile to figure out what she really is feeling. She wanted to make sure it was ‘like’ indeed.

She’d forgotten the feeling of loving someone else aside from her family. Did she even have a first love? She asked herself and sighed. Perhaps, she did but she just couldn’t remember. She chose to forget about the past but it was never that easy, the past would always find its way towards her and slap it right into her face that she shouldn’t forget about it. But she should. She sighed and bit her lip. Why did her life have to be full of ‘buts’?

She just wanted love. That was all.

No dramas. No obstacles. Just love.

Her phone rang suddenly, stopping her thoughts for the moment and when she heard the voice from the other line, she couldn’t help but drop her jaw. It was that man from last night, she was sure of it. His voice sounded exactly the same in person so she can’t be mistaken and since when was she mistaken anyway?

“Hey,” he spoke in that deep manner just like when he whispered in her ear, seducing her.

She shivered and dropped the call. The man was wasting her precious time and she was already late for their date and she didn’t want him to ruin her day. Not after last night where everything was put in their places, simply perfect. But the man didn’t have any shame at all, he continued to bombard her cellphone with calls that made it impossible not to answer.

“I clearly didn’t want to see you again so I’m hanging up now-“ “Wait!”

“You left something with me. Let’s meet up so I can give it to you,”

She did? She wasn’t the type to lose anything carelessly and she made sure that her phone and wallet was secured so what could she have left? Her curiosity got into her but she still won’t meet him and she was really late now.

“Just have it. Bye,” and she ended it,

Her still mind still lingered on whatever that thing is though but just minutes later, all her thoughts stopped the moment she saw Minho standing near his car. He wore a white coloured collared top and wore a baby blue sweater over it. He looked dashing and she saw how other girls would stop for a while and stare at him. His tallness made him look so masculine that even she admits that. Get a hold of yourself, Soo Jung! He’s just your husband! She reminded herself mentally and parked her car beside his.

He greeted her with a gentle kiss on the lips and smiled after. She smiled and held his hand gently. Perhaps, she was going soft but she didn’t mind. It was the time to take the risk of being happy once again after such a long time. She deserved that and she knew he could give it to her. He was her husband after all.

They just strolled around the park, admiring the children playing loudly and their nannies running after them, shouting ‘be careful’ over and over again. She didn’t really have a happy childhood. All of her actions were driven by someone’s order, ‘Soo Jung, do this!’ ‘Soo Jung, do that!’ Now that she was old enough, she wanted to try all of the things she missed. All the things she’d heard and seen. It was never too late to try anything.

“Let’s try the slide!” she excitedly dragged him to it and climbed it slowly, sliding after when she reached the top,

It was probably the best time of her life even if the length of the slide was of her legs. She didn’t care, she hasn’t tried one and she badly needed to have fun after all. There’s nothing wrong with being happy...

Minho watched her with a wide smile and took pictures of her. She looked so happy, different from that woman she married. It was like he was watching someone else but he was truly happy too. After hearing her childhood, he felt all the need to protect her. Not really all of the people get to have a happy childhood, but he did promise that he’d make her happy. Even he could get happy just watching her enjoy herself to the fullest.

“Stop taking pictures of me!” he chuckled since he didn’t even notice that he was already right in front of her,

She was pouting. Krystal Choi was pouting.

“Let’s take it together,” she smiled cheekily and grabbed his cellphone from him and took a quick picture of her kissing him on the cheek,

She winked and ran away to the swings. He couldn’t help but laugh and followed soon after, hugging her tightly by the back. Never mind the attention they are getting from the parents, ne
