Prologue

"It should be up here somewhere?" A girl in her early twenties said as she climbed up the latter to the attic.  It had to be here.  Her parents kept most of their books up here. 

"Unnie...didn't umma and appa tell us never to venture into the attic when they aren't home?"

"You need that book for an assignment.  I am going to find it for you." She said as she started to look around.  She could not believe how mess it was up here.  There was dust and cobwebs everywhere, but this did not really bother Seomin too much. 

Seomin looked around and started to move boxes off a table and paused for a moment when she saw a strange book sitting on the table. "Physika kai Mystika" was embossed in gold onto the old book.  She ran he finger tips of the gold letters and wondered why her parents had this book in the attic.  Seomin was trying to remember what those words met.  "Physika kai Mystika" She repeated as she ran her hand against the binding.  Seomin could not explain the strange sensation she was getting when she touched this book.  It felt like it was calling out to her. 

It finally came to her.  The words seemed to have translated itself into English,. "On Physical and Mystical Matters!"

"What the hell does that mean?"

Seomin heard a car pull up into and she cursed under her breath.  She grabbed the book and hid it under her shirt.  Seomin quickly made her way down the stairs and closed the entrance to the attic.  "Hurry...Eunmi!"  

The two girls ran towards Seomin's room.  They always did their school work in her room. Eunmi opened the door.

Eunmi sat on the floor of Seomin's room and opened a book while Seomin hopped on her bed; hiding the book she found it the attic under her pillow.  She opened her laptop and continued to work on her paper.  

Seomin heard the door open and looked up from her work and smiled at her parents.  Her sister did the same.  They knew that they were safe this time, but if their parents came home earlier they would have been in trouble.  The door of Seomin's room shut and she pulled out the book that she got from the attic.

"Unnie what is that?" Eunmi asked as she climbed onto Seomin's bed and looked at the old book. Seomin placed a finger to her lips.  She opened the book and started to look through the pages of ancient text.
