CHAPTER FIFTY three; prom

   After reading the message, I tear up a bit. I didn’t know what to feel. Everything is so messed up. I’m guilty for hurting Baekhyun, I’m so touched that someone actually thinks of me that way, I hate myself for not knowing his feelings deeply and accusing him thousands of times that he still likes In-na.

“Daemi, what do I do?” I say, looking at her with my watery eyes.

   I wasn’t allowed to run or do anything that would tire me out but it’s the second time I ran today. I ran and ran to Baekhyun’s house to tell him. The longer I ran, the more I moved fast. I wanted to tell him. I had the guts to at this moment, right here.

I turn to run to the left side of the street where I see his house. A few lights were on when I saw the outside of the house. He must be in there.

I rang the doorbell twice to make sure they hear it but there was no answer. I was staring at the front door for a straight 3 minutes. I got my phone and tried calling Baekhyun but he didn’t answer.

It’s about time since the door opened but it wasn’t Baekhyun. It was his maid. “Hello, Good evening” I greeted.

“Oh, Miss Seo” she said, getting out of the house. “Anything I can help you with?”

“I need to see Baekhyun.” I said.

“I thought he went to your house?” she said with a shocked tone. “Is he not there?”

“Oh,” I said, dropping my jaw. “I- I didn’t check. But thank you for that… I’ll be going now.” I bowed

She smiled at me and bowed as well. “Keep safe, Miss Seo.” And she closed the door.

   I ran two streets from Baekhyun’s to mine. I’m so tired. My heartbeat’s never been this fast, it was pumping like crazy. When I reached my house, I touched my heart and closed my eyes to calm down. It hurts. I need to breathe for a minute.
