The rest of the month was just school, home to Jr and study.... Today would be different though. Kyus mom had called. Finally his dad was sober. Even though his mother had never told him, he knew that was the reason why he wasn't aloud to come home. The school day went by and Jr followed him out to the gate. Squeezing his hand and waving at him. Kyu was smiling brighter than he usual did. Finally he could talk with his mother. He needed to tell her everything which had happened. Everything about how confused he was. Everything about how school had changed. Everything about... A boy. He walked down the road and up to the front door. Opening the door, taking of his shoes and putting his back down. "Mom?" At first there was no answer, just silence. But then he heard sobs. His moms sobs. "Mom!" He yelled, this time louder. He walked into the small living room. The sobs came closer. He slowly entered the medium living room. He could feel his heart beat faster... His mothers sobs made him nervous. She never cried. She just took everything so well, never talking back, never crying or breaking down. She had always seemed like such a strong woman. But he had never acted like he was sad....That was until his periods started.... The first one came when Kyu was 5 years old. He wanted to ask his dad to read a book for him, but the sight which had met him, had terrified him. His dad, a young woman and bottles everywhere. That wasn't the worst... The worst was the knife in his fathers hand. Kyu could clearly remember how the book slipped out of his hands, landing on the floor with a thump. The little boy he was at that time, was just staring at the scene in front of him. His dad ignoring the fact that his tiny son stood in the door. He just stood like that, shocked, until his mom appeared and saved him. Saved him from the sight and carried him to bed. Reading the book for him, putting his blanket around him, placing a kiss on his forehead and saying good night. At that time he hadn't understood what he had seen.... He first understood when he got older. He wished he never would had understood
