Random Callers
Hey! Say! Jump Drabble Collection
“I already told you! You got the wrong number… I’m not Inoo!”, Kim’s veins are in the verge of popping, annoyed at the continuous ring coming from her mobile. A total of seven girls already called her today, asking for the most annoying human being named ‘Kei Inoo’.
“Uhg!”, she grunted after putting an abrupt end on her most recent caller. Her annoyed expression was not gone unnoticed by two of her closest friends. She should be enjoying a peaceful lunch break with Amu and Rio but instead, she’s being pestered by numerous callers.
“You’re too popular today, nee-chan”, Rio sniggered, finding utmost joy for seeing her older friend pout in her place. She knows well who the cause of this is and she couldn’t help but tease Kim and Kei for their complicated love/hate relationship.
“That’s like the 4th time someone called you in the last hour. Is everything okay, Kim?”, unlike Rio, Amu asked in genuine concern. She watched as Kim scuffed her head in frustration after banging her book close.
“Who wouldn’t get frustrated with all these calls and messages?”, she grumpily clicked one of the texts from her phone and showed the two girls. “Wow… all of them are asking Inoo-chan for a date?”, Rio and Amu pondered. They awkwardly looked at Kim who is already in the verge of banging her head on the table.
“Not only that, some of them call me! I keep telling them that they got the wrong number!”
“Why would Inoo-chan give your number to those girls?”, Amu asked. By this time, the three girls are too engrossed with Kim’s dilemma that they pushed all their books and notes away to one side. Kim being miserable is definitely more interesting than Human anatomy, Rio thought.
“What else? Of course, it’s to torture me! He’s probably teasing me for accidentally confessing to him while I was drunk at Yama-chan’s party last week”, Kim rested her back on her seat before slumping both her shoulders in defeat. She flinched at the blur memory of her blurting out her feelings in front of everyone with the help of alcohol. She was intoxicated but was still aware of her most embarrassing moment: suddenly confessing to the same guy she considers as her rival.
“Oh right! I still have the video of your confession. That was so cute!”, Rio teased and earned a nudge from Amu as if saying “that’s not helping”.
“I already told him it was a joke but fro
