No one's POV: 

"You ready?" Baekhyun asked and Chanyeol nodded
"Yeah, I can do this" he replied and Baekhyun smiled before leading him in. Once inside, the two gawked at the sight in front of them, the room was crowded with people of all shapes and sizes wearing some of the best clothing around and some of the craziest!
"It's packed in here" Chanyeol said, looking around
"And the embarassing thing is that over half the people in this room belong to my mum's side of the family" Baekhyun replied as they wondered further into the room 
"So this is the Byun family?" Chanyeol asked as they looked around and Baekhyun nodded
"Baekkie" somebody called, making Baekhyun groan 
"And that would be the mother" he muttered, turning around. 

When he and Chanyeol turned around, they saw a short woman bounce, not literally, over to Baekhyun and pull him into the tightest hug possible
"I've missed you so much" she said and Baekhyun tried to pry her away
"Mum you're hugging me to hard" he managed to say, causing his mum to finally let go so she could get a good look at him and allow Baekhyun to start breathing properly again 
"Well don't you look handsome tonight" she said, smiling at how her son looked in his suit 

"You have no idea how long it took me to find this suit" Baekhyun replied and his mum laughed before turning to Chanyeol 
"And you must be Chanyeol" she said to which said boy nodded 
"Y-yeah nice to meet you" he muttered 
"Baekkie has told me so much about you" she said smiling
"R-really?" Chanyeol asked to which Baekhyun's mother nodded
"And from what I've heard you're a really great guy and by the way; you also look handsome tonight" she replied and Chanyeol blushed 

"Th-thank you" he said and Baekhyun's mother smiled
"No need to thank me, you're the person who has been there through thick and thin with my son so I should be thanking you" she replied before turning to Baekhyun 
"Your uncle is currently at the bar mingling, go show Chanyeol around and introduce him to others before your uncle bumps into you" she said and Baekhyun nodded before she walked away 
"You heard the lady" he said and took Chanyeol's hand to show him around. 

Walking around and meeting the family, Chanyeol was introduced to quite a lot of Baekhyun's family. First of they had to go meet Baekhyun's aunt and congragulate her, when meeting them his aunt gawked at how tall Chanyeol was and even though her husband was a tall man himself, he was also quite surprised at just how tall Chanyeol was. He was introduced to Chanyeol's grandmother who swore for a second that Chanyeol was a spitting image of her husband when they were their age and was then pulled onto the dancefloor by Baekhyun's 4 year old cousin who, in her own words, wanted to dance with him because 
"He looks like a prince and I want to feel like a princess" and with that pulled him out to the dancefloor whilst Baekhyun watched the two of them laughing. 

"Have you been avoiding me all night?" a voice asked behind him and when Baekhyun turned around his eyes widened
"U-uncle Dongwoo" he said and said man smiled before pulling him in for a quick hug
"Look at you" he began, breaking the hug to get a good look at Baekhyun 
"Grown into a fine man you have just like your dad" he added and Baekhyun smiled
"Th-thank you" he replied and began looking around to see if his parents were near by 
"So have you bought a girlfriend along tonight?" his uncle asked
"Not exactly" Baekhyun replied looking around and beginning to panic. 

"There you are" came his fathers voice as Baekhyun sighed in relief as his father came over 
"Dongwoo, the Choi family is here looking for you" he said 
"The Choi... oh... them" he said and sighed as he walked away and Baekhyun mouthed a thank you before Chanyeol made his way back over
"Your cousin is so cute" he said 
"Try saying that when you don't let her have what she wants" Baekhyun replied and the two of them laughed. At that moment it was time to settle down for food and everyone went to their assigned tables and luckily for the two of them, Unlce Dongwoo wouldn't be joining them.

"Hello again" Baekhyun's mum said as she and his dad took their seats across from the boys 
"How are you enjoying this so far?" she asked Chanyeol who was quick to nod 
"It's fun, I had to dance with a four year old and a grandmother thought I was her husban from back in the day" he replied, causing both of Baekhyun's parents to laugh 
"Ah here I am" Dongwoo said as he took a seat next to Baekhyun 
"Wh-what are you doing here?" Baekhyun asked 
"Well it's not everyday I see my nephew, what with him cooped up in that school all the time" Dongwoo replied, turning to Chanyeol. 

"And who is this?" he asked 
"Chanyeol this is my Uncle Dongwoo" Baekhyun said and Chanyeol froze before holding out a hand which Dongwoo shook 
"School friend of yours?" he asked before laughing 
"You know Baekhyun I would have expected you to have bought along a girlfriend" he added
"Well that's the thing I don't have a girlfriend" Baekhyun said
"So you bought your school friend along instead?" Dongwoo asked and Baekhyun shook his head
"No I bought Chanyeol along because he is my boyfriend" he replied and that was when Dongwoo paused. 

"Boyfriend?" he asked and Chanyeol could sense the mood on the table change at this point 
"Yes, boyfriend" Baekhyun replied, his heartbeat increasing ten fold as Dongwoo turned to Chanyeol 
"So what did you have to do to change him?" he asked whilst Chanyeol frowned
"Excuse me?" he asked
"I don't think now is the time to start this" Baekhyun's mum said and Chanyeol shook his head 
"You honestly think I changed him?" he asked
"How else would he become one of you?" Dongwoo asked
"One of me?"
"Yes one of you, you must have turned him from the normal or he was dumb enough to actually become scums like you".

"Hey, do not talk about our son like that" Baekhyun's dad said 
"There is nothing wrong with him or Chanyeol. Yes he is gay but we love him and we would still love him if he gay, straight or biual" his mother added whilst Dongwoo shook his head 
"Of all guys why him though?" he asked pointing to Chanyeol
"Look at him, he is freakishly tall, ears that point out like spock and I'm pretty sure he's one of those immature boys who speak before they think" he added and at that Chanyeol stood up facing Baekhyun's parents
"It was lovely meeting you tonight and thanks for inviting me, but I can't stay in the same room as a man who won't even accept that his nephew is the way he is" and with that walked out. 

"Well done" Baekhyun shouted at Dongwoo before getting up himself and running after Chanyeol... what an eventful first meeting this was turning out to be... 

The next chapter will carry this on, not greatly but it will 
We'd also like to point out we are in no way homophobic and believe everyone is equal regardless of race, and ual preferences but this ^ happened to a family member of cantthinkofname's family recently...so yeah...
