Only clanks coming from the utensils were heared throughout the large dining room of the castle as the family of ten ate their dinner silently. Their father wasn't happy, he arrived with a frown and it looks like he wasn't in the mood to talk. He didn't even smile at his daughters to let them know that he missed them.

Taeyeon's heart was beating fast. She can't help but think that their father was mad because of something she did, her sisters are her responsibility so if one of them messed up its entirely her fault.

 

"A-appa..." She stuttered when finally had the courage to talk 

 

"...I-is something wrong?" she continued nervously. Eight pairs of eyes fell on her as she waited for her father's respond.

 

Their father stopped eating and took a deep breath before answering.

 

"I'm really sorry my dear daughters, father is just having a bad day" he then smiled at them. The mood of the room instantly  lighten up.

 

The dining hall was full of nine voices conversing to one another

 

"Its a company problem again, isnt it?" Taeyeon asked her father after she release a sigh of relief

 

Her father shook his head

 

"Its far more serious than that..." he frowned again

 

"Ne, Appa! Have you brought the things you promised last time?" Yoona asked with twinkling eyes

 

Her father nodded with a tired smile.

 

"Ya! shikshin, we all know you were just looking for your Kimchi pancakes!" Sooyoung giggled

 

"Look who's talking" Yoona shot back playfully

 

They continued talking about random things

 

"Appa, May I know whats bothering you?" Taeyeon asked in a low voice that only her father could hear

 

"The mafia" He muttered under his breath

 

"W-why? are they threatening you again?"

 

"They said that they know where you guys are hiding... so i wish you guys would be more careful now, i heared from my spy that they already saw one of your sisters in this island"

Taeyeon gasped

 

"Oh no... so your saying that..." Taeyeon panicked a little

 

"No. I believe this island would still be a safe place if i take you with me to Korea" his father stated

 

Taeyeon then felt excited but then sad at the same time. She will finally be able to see the world again but she will be leaving her sisters

 

"J-jinja?" 

 

"Eh? Taeyeon will be going to Korea?" Hyoyeon's loud voice was heared throughout the room causing everyone's head to turn to Taeyeon's direction. Looks like Hyoyeon overheared everything.

 

"Eh? is that true Appa?" Tiffany asked  with wide eyes. 

 

"But why?" Yuri asked 

 

"My daughters, i'm bringing your sister with me to korea because this place would not be safe if i keep you all in this Island"  He explained

 

"But what about us? wouldn't it be dangerous for us if we stay here? We need to come along too!" Sooyoung protested which earned agreement from the rest of her sisters

 

"Sooyoung, it would be alot more dangerous if i bring you all with me. I'm bringing Taeyeon because it will create a diversion, in that way the mafia's attention will be turned to her not you guys."

 

"But wouldn't that be dangerous for her?" Sica asked sadly

 

"That's why you guys shouldn't be envious of her" He said sadly as he held his eldest's hand tightly.

 

Taeyeon smiled sadly at her sisters and her father.

 

"I want to come with you too" Seohyun stood up with a face full of determination

 

"Yah maknae, stop it. You shouldn't joke about this kind of thing" Yoona said seriously as she pulled Seohyun's arm down

 

"I'm serious." she said with a straight face and took Yoona's hand away

 

"Seohyun, I'm only taking Taeyeon with me. Its final" He said 

 

 

"But appa! i want to come too. Please take me with you i'm begging you" 

 

"Seohyun!, i said it's final!" He said with a stern voice

 

"A-appa..." 

 

"Seohyun, stop it" Taeyeon said

 

"Appa! please... I really want to go" Tears began to form in her eyes

 

"I said STOP!!" Taeyeon's voice echoed throughout the room

 

"Don't you realise how dangerous this is? Why do you even want to come? You're not normally like this!" Taeyeon scolded at her sister.

 

"Because i want to see the world too and--" 

 

"Kim Seohyun! You are NEVER going to leave this Island! " Their father finally stood up with an angry expression

 

 

"Why are you like this?" Tears started to roll down her rosy cheeks as she ran out of the room

Mr. Kim Donghyun tapped his pen on his table as he rest in his private study room. He was yet again thinking about his daughters specially Seohyun. It was his first time seeing her like that, the Seohyun he knew was a quiet, sweet and obedient. He wondered of what made her did that, why would she want to risk her life because of that. He could feel that wanting to see the world wasn't her only purpose of going out there, there must be something else.

He then heared a knock 

 

"Please come in" He cleared his throat

 

" Juinnim, your daughters said that its time to take your meds" Kyungsoo entered the room with a tray of four medicine bottle and a tall glass of water. Donghyun was lucky to have nine caring daughters

 

"Oh thank you" He smiled at the young boy and watched him put the tray down ontop of his table and waited for him to leave. 

 

"It's ok, you can leave now"

 

"Oh i'm sorry sir but the Misses wanted me to make sure that you take them" Kyungsoo scratched the back of his head with a shy smile

 

This earned a laugh from the man

 

"Haha. Those girls" He said as he took his first set of tablets

 

"How have my princesses been?"

 

"They were doing fine and lovely as always" Kyungsoo smiled at him

 

He smiled back as he took another set

 

"Say Kyungsoo, you're a good friend of my dear Seohyun aren't you?"

 

"Y-yes sir" 

 

 

"Do you have any idea of why would she be interested in going out of this Island?"

 

The prince in the locket was the first thing that went in his mind because of what he overheard from Seohyun earlier that day, she was assuming that the prince lives in Korea and she wanted to meet him.

 

"Uh... Sir, I think that she just wanted to see the world again because i've been telling her stories about it" He lied, his master might be angry if he told him about the locket and about him helping Seohyun sneak out

 

"Do you think she has anymore reasons besides that?"

 

Kyungsoo didn't know what to answer. He didn't want to lie or tell the truth either, he just wanted to do what's best for her. If he told a lie, Seohyun would have a chance to come with them but if he told the truth she will definately stay....with him

 

"Kyungsoo, please don't lie to me. I just want whats best for my youngest" 

 

He took a deep breath and decided on what to tell

 

"S-she wanted to go with you b-because...because she wanted to meet a prince"

 

 

"A prince? what prince?" He asked with a confused expression

 

 

"A prince in a locket she found by the beach" Kyungsoo braced himself

 

"The beach!?! I thought i clearly forbid any of my daughters to leave this castle!?" The father's face was red because of anger. Kyungsoo can tell that he's really really angry

 

Mr. Kim stood up and angrily marched his way out of the room.

 

"S-sir! I-its my fault. Seohyun has nothing to do with this" Kyungsoo tried his best to stop the older man but he acted like he didn't heard anything and walked faster.

 

He walked along the corridor of his daughters rooms with Kyungsoo tailing shortly trying to stop him 

 

Taeyeon was about to get to her room when she saw her enraged father walking to the directon of her little sister's room

 

"Appa! what's going on?" 

 

"That little sister of yours is really getting in my nerves Kim Taeyeon!" He said 

 

"What!?!? What happened?"

 

As he arrive at his destination he literally kicked the door open and ran to his yougest daughter who was sitting at her bed

 

"Who told you that you can go out huh? answer me! Kim Seohyun!!!" He shouted at her as he held her wrist tightly to the point that its already leaving a mark

 

"A-appa! It hurts. Please stop it!!!!!" She was crying as she tried to free from his grip

 

"And you wanted to come with us to find your so called prince!?!?!?!?" 

 

"Appa! Stop it! you're hurting her" Taeyeon cried as she watched her helpless sister 

 

"You and your stupid fairytales!! Remember this Seohyun, Happy endings never exists! so you are never to leave this castle ever again! You understand!?" He literally threw her to the ground

"No! that's not true!!! They do exists! My unnies always tells me that you and Mom made a happy ending! It's real and i believe in it!" She said between her sobs as she struggle to get back up

 

He was taken aback by what his daughter has said, he remembered that he used to tell his daughters that there are happy endings when his wife was still alive.

"Appa! stop this! I'm begging you!" Taeyeon helped her sister to get up

 

"I used to believe in it too! but then your mother was killed by them. Tell me Seohyun, is it still a happy ending afterall?" Donghyun began to tear up 

 

"Appa!" Taeyeon yell, she was already crying while hugging her sister 

 

He went closer to her and took the locket from around her neck

 

"That's Mine!" Seohyun yelled at her father

 

"This is the main reason you're acting like this!" He held the locket up and threw it on the ground

 

"N-no! Don't! Please i'm begging you! Appa!" She tried to get the locket back but Taeyeon held her back

He stomped at the locket rapidly until it was broken.

 

"Now tell me dear daughter, is there still a happy ending?" Donghyun said as he left the room
