Taeyeon clutched a mug of hot coffee between her hands as she gazed at the familliar sea that's been in her memory eversince she could remember. She was currently in Jeju island, she traveled with her father from Seoul to avoid the growing number of threats they've been receiving eversince she landed in Korea. 

She still couldn't believe that she left the castle. Korea was incredible, she saw a lot of unfamilliar faces, wonderful places, and breathtaking views. She tried a lot of delicious foods too. It's been a long time afterall

"It's getting quite cold, isn't it" Her father's deep voice caused her head to turn to his direction. She bowed slightly with a smile

"Yes, it is" She replied as her eyes found it's way back to the sea. She didn't knew why but something about the sea calms her down. No matter what negative mood she has, it always vanish immediately when she sees the sea. That's the thing she really liked about living in an island. 

"You know, Your mother and I used to be here in this vacation house every christmas. We even spent our honeymoon here" He smiled as he remembered the times when his wife was still alive."This place has so many memories. Do you remember this place Taetae?"

She giggled at the nickname, her mother was the one who made it. 

"Yeah... We stayed here when Seohyun was born, right?" She said as she took as sip from her mug. "This was also the place where mother..."

She didn't have the heart to continue her sentence. Silence filled the room 

She was murdered in that place, their mother died infront of her very eyes. She remembered that day when Seohyun was born, it was christmas and everyone was happy. Taeyeon was about to open her gift when it happened, their father hid them inside dressers, behind couches and even under the coffee table. She hid behind the christmas tree as a group of men intruded their home. Baby Seohyun was crying loudly on their mother's arms and everyone of them were scared. Hot tears cascaded on her cheeks as she watched the men kill her mother. Her eyes began to water because of the memory

"I wonder how your sisters' been doing...." The man said, finally breaking the silence as he walked towards his eldest daughter. He stood besides her as he placed both of his forearms on top of the railings. "Specially, your youngest sister."

"I'm sure they're alright..." There was a pause."or...atleast I hope they are" 

Mr. Kim heaved a heavy sigh as he massaged his wrinkled forehead. Fatigue was visible in his face, he looked very very tired. His weary eyes had dark rings under it, you can easily tell that he haven't been sleeping very well lately. Well, who wouldn't be if their children are in danger and their company is in danger of bankrupcy

"Your sisters." He shot a teary look at his eldest."I can't get them out of my mind, it's been hard for me to focus on our company  lately and I think that our opponents are taking advantage of it. I've been receiving a lot of threat not only about you but also your sisters... They've been saying that they know where they are and it really worries me"

He covered an eye with a palm as it fingers tugged on his bangs. A single tear started to trickle down his cheeks

"Appa, it will be alright" Taeyeon's comforting hand made it's way to her fathers back as he tremble. "They will be alright"

She moved closer to hug him. It wasn't only her whose scared, she forgot who was trully affected in their current situation.

"H-how about you? how have you been?" 

"I'm scared" Taeyeon answered without hesitation 

"That makes the two of us" He sadly smiled. He hugged his daughter back as tears went down his face "I promise you Taetae, I will protect you and your sisters no matter what happens."

Mr. Kim hugged her daughter as they cried together. It wasn't long until one of Mr. Kim's most reliable servants entered the room

"Juinnim, We received yet another threat" He said after a 90 degree bow."They sent this white envelope and they insisted that you should read it. According to them, they would blow up one of the Korean main buildings of your company if you are not to see the contents of the envelope. We wouldn't want to take actions unless we let you know"

Mr. Kim squared his broad shoulders as he heaved yet another heavy sigh. He reached for the white A4 sized envelope as it was given to him with a bow. Taeyeon watched him open the envelope and waited for what terrible thing would happen next

As he opened the envelope, he couldn't believe his eyes. His whole body began to shake as he stared at the content of the said envelope. His legs gave up, he fell on the floor, his half-lidded lifeless eyes was still glued at the photopaper which contained an image of one of his lovely daughters 

"A-appa! What's wrong?" Taeyeon yelled as she kneeled besides her dumbfolded father. She has yet seen the content of the envelope. Tears started to fill her vision as she took it from her father's grip

"N-no! This can't be!! This is a lie!! This is not true. My sister is inside the castle far away from here! Safe and sound..." Her eyes grew wider as she placing both hands on top of her trembling lips

Mr. Kim felt numb. His eyes were still glued on the image as his brain tried to process what was written on the picture. 

'We have her'

They have Seohyun. 

His phone began to ring but he was still unable to move. After a couple more rings, Mr. Kim's servant reached for the phone after nodding at him.

"Yoboseyo?" The servant said upon answering the phone, He awaited respond as he glance at his master who was still kneeling 

"I-I don't understand... wh-why? Seohyun... No" Taeyeon's tears started to flow non-stop, he hugged her father once again. "Appa... what should we do?"

"Ju-juinnim!" The servant offered the phone to his master. "It's for you... they said that they're from the mafia" 

Mr.Kim finally snapped out of it. He slowly took the phone from his servant to his ear

"Y-yoboseyo?"

"Ah! Hello Mr.Kim, how've you been doing? We haven't heard from you in awhile" A deep voice echoed from the other line, it was a voice Mr. Kim despises to hear. "Have you received our little present for you?"

"Let go of my daughter! You bastard!" His face began to redden in anger, his knuckels turned white

"Haha I guess you already did huh?" The voice said in amusement. "Well don't get too excited... on the contrary we don't have her YET beacuse if we did she would probably be lying on the morgue by now. We wouldn't want to waste anytime and she's not that of a valuable hostage... we have to kill eight more anyways" 

His voice was starting to tick Mr. Kim off. The unserious tone of his deep voice was really pushing him to the edge. But he's still thankful that Seohyun was unharmed as of the moment.

"Where is she?" 

"Well if you look carefully on the photo, she was not in your precious island when it was took. She's in somewhere she dreams to be... hm maybe she's in Korea.... Busan maybe?" Mr. Kim could feel his awfull smirk even from the other line 

"W-Why are you telling this to me? This is a trap isn't it?"

"I told it to you because you asked, Aren't you thankful? Hahaha... and besides we could reach to her even before you could. I'm sure of it..."

"What do you want!" Mr. Kim said trying his best to hide the desperation on his trembling voice

"Oh, I don't know" He said with sarcasm after a pause "Maybe I want you to suffer because of what you did in the past, Donghyun"

He was stunned. He remembered all the things that happened in the past, the things he did that put an end to his wife's life. The things he did that might end his daughters' lives

Taeyeon angryly snatched the phone from her father

"Yah! Listen, if you lay even a single finger at my baby sister. You're gonna get it! You hear me?!" Taeyeon shouted at the top of her lungs

"Don't worry. She'd be dead even before I lay a finger on her" He chuckled. "Have a good day... Taetae"

She couldn't help but to gasp as she heard him say her nickname. He knew that voice so well, a voice that haunted her childhood. A voice she once loved to hear

"Changmin-oppa..."

Kyungsoo stared at the white tile as he sat and waited for the laboratory results. He gave the small vial to a laboratory for examination, the vial Seohyun drank on the night she left. Kyungsoo had to make sure that it's not poison but the fact that the liquid was given by a peculiar old woman dwelling on their secret island worries him.

He sighed. He couldn't get Seohyun out of his head, he wondered where did the boat took her. Who knows? Maybe she had already sunken on the bottom of the ocean. Before he could be depresssed even more, he shook the idea out of his head. As if on queue, his phone began to vibrate in his pocket

"Yoboseo?"

"Kyungsoo! You're in Busan right?" A loud voice demanded on the other line

"Y-yeah, May I ask who is this?" 

"It's Hyoyeon and I want you to do me a favor" She said in a somewhat worrried tone

"Sure, what is it?"

"Well, you see, A breaking news had reached the castle and it involves Seohyun's whereabouts.They said that she was somewhere in Busan. I called you as soon as Sica told us"

Kyungsoo's eyes went ever so wide. He could feel his heart banging against his ribcage. 

"S-she was found?"

"Not exactly, the mafia was actually the one that gave us this information. They threatened to get to her before we do."

"It could be a trap"

"I doubt it. I've known the guys behind the mafia even before I knew how to read. I knew them ever since they killed omma" Hyoyeon said. "They are full of them selves. They think they can kill a Kim that easily? Heh! If they even lay a finger on my seobaby, I will friggin' break their bones!" 

"Okay, okay... Calm down Hyoyeon-ssi. I will do my best to find her, I promise I will bring her back to you" Kyungsoo said with a firm voice

"Please do" The sadness on the other line cannot be hiddden anymore. Kyungsoo began to hear muffled sobbings just as the call ended. Their youngest was really precious to their hearts

Adrenaline was flowing through his blood stream as he stood up. He needs to find her no matter what. He needs to keep her safe, he was her knight in shinning armour afterall

He was about to go for the door when he suddenly heard his name being called. He turned around only to see a young woman with a labcoat on and a clipboard around her small arm. She was appearantly the professor's lab assistant

"Mr. Do Kyungsoo"

"Uh... Right here" He said slightly raising his hand to get her attention

"Oh there you are! Professor Park is ready to see you now. Please come with me" The girl beamed showing off sets of braced teeth as she went inside with Kyungsoo tailing shortly behind her

"Mr. Do Kyungsoo" Professor Park reached out a hand to Kyungsoo

"Professor Park" He gave him a firm handshake

The lab assistant had lead him to a spacious office where he met with the professor. The office had sets of laboratory  equipments and instruments which wasn't really suprising. The professor's desk had a large microscope at it's side and Kyungsoo was seated in front of him.

"Well, Mr. Do, I have finished examining the substance you had provided me and here are the results" The professor handed out a brown A4 envelope "Though I would not expect you to understand everything that is written in that paper for it is filled with scientific terms. Please allow me to explain"

Kyungsoo examined the brown envelope as the professor talked on, he pulled a paper written with bunch of terms he was not quite familiar with. The professor was right, he had no idea what the paper said

"The transparent liquid you had sent us is actually a very special toxin that is found inside a rare pink shell which is usually found in a shore of an island. That substance is quite rare and is actually wanted by people all around the world as medicine for snake bites"

"W-what about if this substance was taken in by someone? What would happen?"

"There are researches that this substance could make your voice loud and melodic on thefirst 24 hour of intake. There are even some sayings  that it can help you breath underwater but it was actually never proven, infact the substance can temporarily shut down one's voice box a day prior to his or her in take of the substance. The voice box would not function for four to six weeks... other than that this substance is completely harmless"

(A/N: Totally made that up hahaha ^_^)

"So you're saying, anyone who drank the substance would go temporarily muted?" 

"Yes" The professor shortly replied

Kyungsoo heaved a sigh of relief, atleast it was no poison. Though it would not really erase the fact that it would be a hella lot hard to find her if she's muted

It would be harder than he thought
