Kris tapped his pen to his desk as the light from his computer screen glowed in the dark room. He stared at the content of the screen with a smile on his face. He felt like an idiot for searching the internet for it, he should know these kinds of things

The stupid smile on his face cannot be erased as he reread what he have typed on the search bar. 

'How do you know if you have already fallen inlove?' 

 

*Flashback*(The time Kris visited the clinic the other night)

Kris waited at the lobby of the small clinic. He stared at various magazines at the top of a small coffee table which he wasn't really reading. His mind was somewhere else, replaying the moment when Seohyun's finger brushed through his. His face began to heat up as his heart began to throb violently, He really needs a doctor right now

After a minute or two, a young lady in white walked in holding a small clipboard around her arm, she must be the nurse.

"Hello, good evening sir, what brings you here?--wait, Oh it's you, Kris-oppa!"

"S-sulli? what are you doing here? Are you a nurse here?" 

"Haha, yeah. Actually my dad owns this clinic and I'm here to help him, no nurse are available at the time so I came as a substitute" She said with a cute smile."By the way, I might ask you the same thing. What are you doing here?"

"Oh... I'm here for a check up. I guess..." He spoke unsurely in a low voice

"Hmm, is that so?... Then follow me. Dads busy with another patient, I'll do it" She said as she signalled him to follow her

They arrived at a small room identical to a hospital room. She asked him to sit at the strecher as she gathered the things she needed for the check up

"So... Oppa why did you want to have a check up all of a sudden specially in this time of the night?" 

"Well... you see, my heart acted a bit odd about half an hour ago" 

"Odd? Why? Does it hurt or something?" Sulli laid the tray of equipments beside Kris as she removed a stethoscope hanging around her neck.

"Not exactly..." Sulli raised a brow as she wore the stethoscope's ear plug and took hold of the round thing by it's handle

"Well, let's find out shall we"

Sulli began the check up. She raised the back of his shirt so she can posistion the stethoscope to his , specifically, where the heart was

"Inhale" Sulli instructed. Kris did what he's told and didn't exhaled until she said so.

Sulli looked up to the ceiling as she focused on hearing Kris' heart rate

"Exhale..."

Sulli immediately took off the stethoscope out of both her ears after taking his heart's bpm. She wasn't actually a licensed/official nurse, she is currently a nursing student. Nevertheless she has a permit that allowed her to practice check ups and the like. 

"That's strange, Your heart rate seems to be normal... What were you doing when your heart acted abit odd?"

"W-well... I-i was with Seohyun. I drove her home and--" Kris was stopped by Sulli's feminine and somewhat timid laughter

 

"... You're blushing" She finally said after her laughter

"W-what?" Kris abruptly laid both of his hands to his warm cheeks. "S-sulli! I have a fever, my cheek feels warm" Kris innocently panicked which only caused cute giggles from the young nurse infront of him

"Oppa, you're so cuteee" Sulli pinched the older man's cheek. She can't believe that a good-looking guy like him haven't experienced love even once in his life. "You're not sick, silly" 

Kris just gave her a confused (and frustrated) look

"Ne, Oppa. Have you ever been inlove?"

"H-huh? inlove?" 

"Inlove. You know, the feeling when your heart beats a hundred times per second when you see a certain someone and that silly smile that appears on your face just by her mere presence." Sulli explained in an ethusiastic manner

"I'm not really sure but... why do you ask?" Kris' face was still red. He felt the feelings that Sulli mentioned just about thirty minutes ago when he drove Seohyun home.

"Maybe that's the reason your heart acted odd" Sulli said with a smile."Maybe you felt love"

Kris didn't respond. He thought about what the younger girl said, he can't say for sure that HE IS in love. Kris doesn't believe that love happens with just a snap of finger, he hasn't felt love for anyone else other that his family . He needs more signs to let him know if he's indeed inlove with Kim Seohyun whom he met just this morning

"Well you wasted money on a pointless check up but since you're cute, I wont charge you" She giggled at the older man

"Haha. Thanks... I guess"

End of flashback

According to the website he found on the internet, there are alot of ways to find out if you are inlove with a person.

"Symptom 1" He read aloud as he scrolled down to read the rest." An immediate smile whenever you see a certain person"

It was similar to what Sulli has told him and there is only one way to confirm if he has this symptom...

He opened his phone and browsed through his pictures. He took a selca with Seohyun the day they went to the orphanage together, he swiped on his galaxy note III to find it. 

There, he found it. He found a picture with a smiling angel besides him. It was a picture he took along with his favorite students in the orphanage. He smiled as he remember the time he spent with her there, she was a very kind girl. The children adored her--

He found his finger on his lips which was curved to a smile, he didn't know why but he tried hard to prevent himself from smiling. A faint tint of pink was visible on his cheek bones which tugged on the corner of his lips. A part of him was glad that he smiled and another was being denial. His denial side tried it's best to lower down his cheek bones but it's strength just wasn't enough

She made him smile.

A text message pop up-ed on his cellphone screen as he smiled at the picture. It was a text message from Luhan (according to the Contact ID) 

Expecting a complaning mesage from Luhan (Because of band practices), his smile quickly faded as he opened the content of the text message, he was still the COLD afterall. 

To his suprise, the message wasn't from Luhan. 

It was from her.

From: Luhan

Hi Kris! It's me, Seohyun. I borrowed Luhan's phone to text you :)
I just wanted to Thank you for worrying and looking for me. I really appreciate your concern and I'm really flattered that you wasted your whole day looking for me. I'm sorry too for making you worry...Take care of yourselfㅎㅎㅎ :)

His hand slowly made it's way to his chest, where his heart was now beating a hundred times per second. He doesn't care about the other symptoms, this was more than enough to prove what he is feeling. He closed his eyes as he listened (felt) to his heart, the heart who was once very cold to everyone, the heart who was actually warm and kind inside, and the heart who now belongs to certain someone...

And that someone, is none other than...

"Kim Seohyun..." He whispered to himself which made him smile absentmindedly.

Who knew that a girl like her would have an ability to make a guy fall inlove in a single day without even saying a single word...

 

 

Seohyun knocked on the door of the music room where Luhan was. She had borrowed his cellphone and she was there to return it. 

She was returned to Luhan's villa after Kris found her yesterday, Soojung and Sehun were happy that she was found. They already told the police about what happened to the poor girl. 

Luhan's reaction was different though. He remained quiet and hasn't talked to her eversince she arrived. It was quite weird because she can sense that he's acting cold towards her eversince this morning. Is he sick? She though innocently.

She saw him sitting on by the piano. His head was down, forehead pressed against the cover of the piano keys. She was worried, she can tell that he was awake. She really wanted to know why did she found him in that posistion, did something hurt? was he okay?

Since she can't really say something or even clear to let him know of her presence, she walked closer and gently tapped on his shoulder. 

He raised his head slowly to turn and look at the mysterious person who had disturbed him from whatever he was doing. His tired, half-lidded eyes met her glittering, pretty ones. The smile on her face slowly faded as soon as she saw him. She took pity of those eyes of his, it looked lifeless and...sad

He looked sad, very sad

"What?" he tiredly demanded as his eyes glared at her

She abruptly handed the phone to him. She couldn't say thank you to him, eventhough she knows how to do it in sign language, she doubt that he would understand. In the end, she decided to just bow slightly to let him know that she's thankful

He just nodded to her and got the phone from her, he then turned to the piano. Appearantly, he was too busy to have charades with her. (lol charades xDD hahah sorry Seohyun XDDD)

She had no choice but to leave, she can't communicate with him. She was voiceless

With a last glance, she finally got out of the room. She sighed heavyly as she walked through the corridors. What was wrong with him? Was he always like that before I got here? she doesn't completely know him afterall

She decided to ask Soojung about him. She want's to know more about her so called prince charming 

She then went down using a flight of stairs which led to the living room where Soojung and Ace was playing. She didn't know how but she wanted to talk to her. She NEEDED to talk to her

"Oh hey Seohyun~!" Soojung chirped cheerfully in between her cute giggles as the cute puppy barked happily at his owner's sister

She smiled widely at the girl as she sat besides her.

The two continued playing as if she was not there. She wanted to somehow start a conversation but she didn't know exactly how.

"Oppa's acting kinda strange, isn't he?" Soojung picked-up the cute canine to her lap as she his silky fur.

Seohyun nodded. 

"Did something happened?" 

She shook her head in an unsured manner. 

"Oh... wait just a second" Soojung then stood up from her seat and took Ace to the ground. She walked towards a drawer with Ace tailing shortly behind her. Seohyun couldn't help but to smile as she watched the puppy's fur bounce as he walk

Soojung then came back with an A3 white board and a black marker. Seohyun's face instantly lit up, she can finally 'talk'.

"Here..." She smiled as she gave the white board to the voiceless woman. She came back to her previous posistion and placed the puppy on her lap once again. "Now you can communicate with me"

Seohyun then scribbled on the white board

"About your brother..." The characters were neatly written on the glossy surface of the board as she lifted it up for Soojung to see

"Is he always like that?... you know, acting cold and all"

"No. He's a really cheerful guy to be honest" She said in as a matter of fact tone. "I'm worried about him. He hadn't talk to me or Sehun-oppa eversince he came back from searching  you yesterday"

Seohyun's eyes widen, she didn't know that he looked for her too. She felt flattered yet embarrassed because she hadn't expressed her gratitude to him.

"He came searching for me?" 

"Yeah... He was out all day looking for you" Soojung said while nodding 

Seohyun's cheeks began to warm as it's pale color was obscured by a light shade of pink

"Did something happened?" She repeated the unanswered question she asked earlier 

"Not that I know of..." Her eyes were looking down, avoiding the other girl's gaze 

There was silence after that.

Seohyun then remembered one of her reasons for leaving the island, she remembered her admiration for Luhan. The blush on her pale cheeks began to be much more visible, she can't help but to feel happy about the fact that Luhan looked for her. It was the first time for her to feel this kind of happiness. It felt so great

She then began to argue to herself whether to go to Luhan to say thank you or just remain on her seat with Soojung. The girl with a sleeping puppy on her lap finally spoke breaking the growing silence between them. Seohyun decided to stay with Soojung, Luhan looked like he was not in the mood to talk to anyone anyway

"Ne, Seohyun-ah, Luhan-oppa told me that you were from somewhere far. He also told me that you lived in an Island. What brings you here in Busan? He told me that he found you by the shore." Soojung asked as she the now sleeping Ace on her lap  

Seohyun was hesitant to tell the truth. The fact that there were already people from the mafia looking for her really terrified her, she knows that telling informations about herself might only bring trouble to her own . But then, this girl is Soojung, Luhan's sister who was really kind to her eversince she got there.

She scribbled on the white board

"I was kept in that island eversince I was a little girl. I never met anyone aside from my sisters and our servants so I decided to run away... to meet people, to see what the world had to offer, to fall inlove..."  

Soojung started at the white board as she read everyword aloud. 

"Woah, Jinja?... Your parents must be that strict huh?" Soojung said in amazement. "Wait... so you've never been inlove before? As in romantic love?" 

Seohyun then shook her head with a blush as a picture of Luhan flashed in her mind.

"Not even once?" Soojung couldn't believe it. It was quite weird for a woman almost in her twenties to have never experienced love. Nowadays, love is a common thing for teenagers like her. It's like part of growing up

She shook her head for the second time

"Tsk tsk tsk. That won't do. You need to know the beautiful art of love! Come with me. I shall enlighten you" Soojung dramatically said as she gently laid the sleeping puppy on the sofa. She then pulled Seohyun up and dragged her upstairs.

 

 

"You do know that this is a library right?" Sehun said in an irritated manner as he pushed his reading glasses to the bridge of his nose. Sehun was enjoying his peaceful afternoon at their study room reading his favorite novel when Soojung arrived dragging an innocent Seohyun with her. She was blabbering something about romantic and love in a very loud manner as she entered the room. At that moment, Sehun knew very well that his peaceful afternoon was officially over

"So? We're here to study! and mind you..." She raised a brow as she laid a stack of books on the table."...this is a study room, not a library"

"This is a room full of books and it's supposed to be quiet, what's the difference?" 

"Oh just shut up Oppa, go read your romantic novel elsewhere. We're here to study" Soojung pulled a chair which was opposite of where Seohyun sat

"I-it's not a romantic novel" He stuttered as he put a hand on his hip."What are you studying anyway?"

"About... Love!!" Soojung said with twinkling eyes (kinda similar to this)

"Love? Tch..." 

"What? What's wrong about love? Love is a wonderful thing, you know?" Soojung yelled back at him as she sat down. She began to agressively turn pages on the book she picked up from the top of the stack. It was entitled: Love for Dummies. "You're such a bitter person ya' know?"

"Heh! What's wrong about love you ask? Love is wonderful you say?" Sehun walked to a large bookshelf and leaned on it with hands dividing the novel on the specific page he was currently reading. "So you're saying that the thing you felt last night when you met your lover is wonderful?"

Sehun eyed his sister with pity as he remembered the scene he found her in last night; she was sitting on the floor, leaning on the front door, crying pitifully. It broke his heart seeing his beloved sister cry like that. 

This rendered the girl speechless as she looked down, she wanted a witty respond but she ended up stuttering unfinshed word out of her trembling lips. She could feel warm tears building on the corner of her eyes; she blinked violently to prevent it from falling

"" Sehun cursed under his breath as he walked towards the desk and sat down on a vacant seat beside Seohyun who was quietly observing the scene before her all along. Sehun put his hand on top of his sister's flawless ones."I'm sorry. I got a little bit carried away, I won't mention it ever again... I'm sorry"

Seohyun blinked twice as she tried her best to understand the situation.

"Aish go away! We're studying here" It wasn't said out of anger, it was said in Soojung's usual tone. She attempted to change the topic of their conversation before a single tear could trickle on her pale cheeks

Sehun sighed heavily as he set his novel down and reached out to the stack of books Soojung collected, he never knew that there were books like these in their own study room. 

"Since she's a failure in love herself. I'll be glad to be your teacher" Sehun said to Seohyun as he opened a hard bound book which was a pink leather and was adorned with different sizes and colors of heart. It has large letters engraved at the middle which spelled: L.O.V.E

"W-what?! I was her teacher first!" Soojung snatched the book from the older guys grip."Go find your own student to teach, you bitter gourd!"

"Being the first one to claim herself a teacher, doesn't mean she'll be a suitable one" He wittifully replied as he pulled another book from the stack. This one's entitled: Avoiding Heartbreaks by Zoe Hange

"Yah Sehun-ah, I might not be a love guru but atleast I have experience unlike you." She stood up and walked around the table to snatch the book once again

"You might be experienced but have you learned anything from your past relationship? I don't think crying over every other relationship means yes" He almost slapped himself for bringing it up again. He might be hurting his sister everytime he mentioned it, the truth is he only wanted her to have enough of it. He only wanted what's best for her.

"W-well... N-no! D-d-on't bring that up!" She stuttered awfully

Seohyun find their bickering very amusing, she remembered her sisters in them. Taeyeon and Jessica would be the ones who would bicker at each other alot. She remembered the time when Taeyeon would wake them all up early in the morning and Jessica would stubbornly refuse. She would stuck her tounge out to their eldest sister and curl herself at the warmth her comforter had to offer. Oh how she missed her sisters--

"Seohyun~ssi" Sehun's voice interrupted her reminscing as her head instantly snapped to his direction."Today, I'll be teaching you what love is. You are required to address me as seonsaeng-nim. Got it?" Sehun snatched the book back from his sister

Seohyun nodded as she opened a small notebook Soojung gave her for taking down notes. Her whiteboard laid close to her incase she would have any questions

"Yah! that's supposed to be me!" She pouted cutely as she grumpily cutely sloutched back to her previous seat.

"Lesson 1: Understanding Love" Sehun said as his slender fingers turned from page to page."In this lesson, we shall learn about the pros and cons when you're in love" 

Seohyun then turned her attention to her newest seonsaeng-nim. She listened to his teachings taking down notes from time to time, it actually reminded her the time she was being tutored before back on the castle. 

"When inlove, one should be willing to sacrifice everything. Love is a very precious thing, it should always be treated with care. Even sacrificing certain things for love is a must. Every decision involving love should be carefully thought through" He went on and on with Soojung commenting thoughts of disagreement from time to time

Something told Seohyun that this was going to be a long day.
