Absence

Krystal and Jonghyun is in the school café.

“This already happened 2 years ago. I can’t understand what is going on Minho’s mind.” said Krystal

Jonghyun understands Minho…a potion of him knows why Minho had to leave everything his heart wants in order to protect something important.

“You’re not talking. You know that I will find out, right?” asked Krystal

“Then take your time.” Said Jonghyun “It’s best if we just let Minho be.”

“Who is it? Is it still Suzy?” asked Krystal

Ahhh...Krystal is really sharp. There’s no hiding from her.

“Ah, don’t answer. I already know…” Krystal had to take a deep breath “Why does he need to fall for the same mistake? I thought he already learned his lesson?!”

Ouch! That kinda hurt. The sword Krystal said also slashed through Jonghyun.

“If anything happens…I’m not sure Suzy will be able to take it.” Said Krystal

“Suzy has to move on. We know Minho’s going to get married sooner or later. And Suzy can’t hold on to her feelings forever.” Said Jonghyun

“That’s, right. But only time can heal wounds.” Said Krystal.

Krystal saw Hara standing near them. Oh no…Hara heard.

This is becoming Jonghyun’s headache. Krystal knowing about Minho is ok. But now he has to make Hara’s mouth shut.

“I won’t tell” said Hara “I promise that.”
“Good, thank you.” Said Jonghyun

“But you have to answer me truthfully.” Said Hara “Is the woman Minho likes…the same woman you like? Is this happening for the 2nd time? Is that why you are resorting to being a playboy again?”

“That’s 3 questions.” Jonghyun kicked the rock in front of him “What happens if I say Yes?”

“You’re an idiot! You should have guarded your heart better. You know WW club can’t afford to experience that again!” said Hara

“I know…That’s why we already know what worked in the past. And we’re doing it again to prevent any further damage.” Said Jonghyun

Hara took a deep breath.

“You’re stupid, Jonghyun. All along, you’ve always been stupid. I hate how stupid you are.” Said Hara

“That’s 3 ‘stupid’ in a sentence.” Thought Jonghyun

And then Jonghyun saw Hara’s eyes…tears glistening but unshed…

“If you ever get hurt again. I won’t be there for you anymore. I don’t want to be there watching over a stupid man.” Said Hara

And then she left running.

Minho’s letter to Jonghyun told him to meet with his cousin. Jonghyun knows Minho’s Mom was adopted. And just 3 years ago, Minho’s family met his mother’s long lost biological sister. It was hidden from the news however and only a few people knows about the 2 family’s connection.

Jonghyun was asked to sit on the sofa when a woman came down the stairs.

“Hi, I’m Nicole. I was expecting you.” Said Nicole

“Thank you, I’m surprised that I’ll meet you.” Said Jonghyun

“I’m sorry to bother you. You had to go here when I know you have a lot of things to do.” Said Nicole

“Minho said I need to talk to you?” said Jonghyun

“Yes…Yes…we need your help. Umm…I don’t know where to start. But…Heechul Oppa, he needs to see Sulli Choi soon.” Said Nicole

Heechul? Where did he hear that…Heechul….Ah! It’s the name of Sulli’s first love! Jonghyun felt like someone just stepped on his heart.

“But we know she’s tied up with activities for WW club.” Said Nicole

“Heechul and Minho…they’re cousins?” asked Jonghyun

“Yes…yes.” Said Nicole “He’s my brother. Please, we need your help for them to get closer to each other.” Said Nicole

“Minho is torturing me.” Thought Jonghyun. How can he do this? Why can Minho leave him with a mission to reconnect Sulli with her first love when Minho knows what he feels for Sulli?!

“There are other ways” Jonghyun remembered what Minho said. Other ways?! Did he mean I need to be a match maker to them despite the pain it will bring me?!

Sulli felt weak the whole day. She tried to look at her phone, no calls still. She feels irritated and angry. But she can’t let it out. She doesn’t want people to get curious why she would be this angry. But how can Minho do that?! How can he leave just like that?!

Sulli saw Jonghyun waiting for her.

“Ready to go home?” asked Jonghyun

“Yeah.” Said Sulli

“Can you accompany me first to the the supermarket? I need to buy something” said Jonghyun

“Oh, all right.” Answered Sulli

They went to a supermarket. Jonghyun went to the chocolates section

“Chocolates?” asked Sulli

“Yeah…I need to bring home some.” Said Jonghyun
