Chapter 13

The Offer

Sulli went to the washroom and saw 3 other girls followed her. When will this ordeal end? She closed her eyes for what is about to happen and got surprised when the 3 girls started to cry.

“Um…what’s happening?” asked Sulli

One of them knelt in front of Sulli

“My sister is one of your attackers yesterday…she was kicked out this morning. She could no longer get in the school. And her records…were erased…everything she ever worked hard for…was eliminated.” Said the kneeling one

“Me too…my best friend attacked you yesterday, but I assure you that she is not that bad. She’s just afraid that  if she doesn’t hurt you, she’s the one who’s gonna end up hurt.” Said the other

“Please, Miss Sulli. Please talk to Minho Choi. Please ask him to reconsider…Those girls…are all scholars…” said the third

Sulli’s heart is confused. She’s angry at those girls for hurting her. They deserve to be punished …but she knows how hard a scholar’s life is at Sun Life…and she can’t imagine what will happen to her if she was kicked out by WW club a month ago. But can she really do something about it? What can an ordinary scholar do? Why do they think she can do something about it?

It’s like one avalanche after another. Suzy’s head is about to explode.

“Let me get this straight…the reason why he is protecting that Sulli Choi is because he wanted to get her as a member of WW club?!” asked Hara

“That’s apparently the reason. When he learned she broke his record, he already started considering it. But we reacted ahead of him.” Said Krystal

“It would have been simpler if he told us.” Said Jonghyun

“Nobody will say Yes for sure. Minho knows us very well. He knows none of us will agree.” Said Krystal

Suzy can only tolerate so much

“It was just one record. How can he say she got what it takes to be part of us?” asked Suzy

“We failed our own challenge.” Said Krystal

Suzy had to take a deep breath to calm herself.

“It’s all my fault. I should have planned better.” Said Suzy

“No. We were in it together. It was never meant to succeed. Minho would have stopped us if he had this going on his mind for a while.” Said Jonghyun

“Minho is giving us a day to decide.” said Krystal “which can you tolerate? Minho will come back to us, but can you tolerate Sulli Choi here? Or we don’t need to tolerate her here, but we lose Minho.”

“We definitely can’t lose Minho” said Suzy “That’s out of the question.”

“So will you welcome Sulli Choi?” asked Krystal

“I will tolerate her if Suzy says yes.” Said Hara “Suzy is the one she damaged the most.”

“I agree with Hara. We won’t accept her if Suzy is not comfortable with it.” Said Jonghyun

“What do you say, Suzy?” asked Krystal

“Minho…he doesn’t like her, right?” asked Suzy

“You know the #1 rule of WW club, right? He wouldn’t ask her to join us if he does.” Said Krystal

Suzy took a deep breath

“Then I will welcome her.” Said Suzy

Suzy went to the football practice. Everyone in the field seemed to have forgotten why they were there. They just stared at her.

Minho noticed that everyone’s attention is no longer at the practice game. When he turned around, he saw Suzy.

Minho shouted to the coach.

“Coach, please ask someone to substitute me for a while.” Said Minho

When Minho was already substituted, Minho went to Suzy.

“What do you need?” asked Minho

“We need to talk.” Said Suzy

“I can’t leave, we have a practice game.” Said Minho

“It won’t take long.” Said Suzy

Minho and Suzy went to the locker room.

“I am here to give you our decision.” Said Suzy

“I gave you a day. You didn’t need to decide immediately.” Said Minho

“There is no need to prolong matters anymore when we’re already sure of what is important.” Said Suzy

“And what is important?” asked Minho

“You…You’re important…to all of us.” Said Suzy “And that is why we will accept Sulli Choi as part of WW club if that’s what you want to happen.”

Minho knows Suzy had to bring her pride down by a hundred level to give this decision to him

“Are you ok with that?” asked Minho

“I will try to be ok with it.” Said Suzy

“You know what I’m asking right? I’m not just asking her name to be put on paper as a member of WW club. But I am also asking the same friendship I have with you to be extended to her.” Said Minho

“We know that…Trust me it wasn’t easy getting at this decision knowing that we have to forget all the anger we have against her and accept her as someone whom we are going to be good friends with.” Said Suzy “But I know if you were in our shoes, you will also do everything you can to get anyone of us back.”

Minho saw Suzy’s unshed tears pooling in her eyes. That would always make Minho’s chest feel really tight.

“I will tell her about joining WW club. But I need to convince her. Until I convinced her, I will not go back to WW club yet.” Said Minho
