JAMES’ POV:

I was already in Ann’s house when I received a call from my mom. “Hello mom?” I said.

“James! Your dad was brought to the hospital. He just had collapsed.” She said. “What?”

I asked. She told me where hospital was my dad brought. I hung up the phone and talked to

Manang Linda who was going down from Ann’s room. “Manang, please tell Ann that I’m really

sorry and that I’ll make it up to her. There’s an emergency at home. I’d go ahead.” I said.

I went in my car and started the engine. I saw Ann’s reflection in the side mirror of my car.

She was saying something but I didn’t bother to stop because I was in a rush to the hospital.

When I arrived in the hospital, I went to the nurse’s station and asked where my dad was.

“Sir, he’s in room 176” the nurse said. “Okay, thank you.” I said as I rushed to the room.

I saw my mom sleeping beside dad. “James?” my mom said. “Did I woke you up?” I asked.

“No. its okay James.” she said. “Is he fine?” I asked. “Yes James. He just had an over fatigue

that’s why he collapsed.” My mom explained. “So how was Ann?” she asked. “I wasn’t able to

talk to her. I left before we could talk.” I said. “I guess you just have to talk to her tomorrow?” my

mom said. “I guess so.” I said. I stayed in the hospital with my mom and dad who just came

back from the States at that time. “James my son?” he called when he woke up. “Dad!” I said as I

placed down the remote and went closer to my dad. “Are you okay now dad?” I asked. “I am my son.”

He answered. “You sure?” I asked again. “I am.” He answered. My mom returned in the room from the house.

“I brought here some clothes James. After you change, go home and take a rest.” She said.

“How ‘bout you mom?” I asked. “I’ll stay here.” She said. I changed my clothes and bid goodbye to

both of them. I drove myself to our house. After I reached our house, I went to my room and slept.

The next morning, I hurriedly did my thing and asked our maids to pack some comfortable clothes

for my mom. I ate my breakfast and grabbed the bag where my mom’s things were kept and packed food.

I left the house and headed to the hospital. I went directly to my dad’s room and saw my parents

watching the television. “Mom, dad.” I called. “James.” they said in unison.

"I brought you some clothes and foods.” I said as I placed it on the table. “Thank you James.”

my mom said. “Aren’t you gonna go to Ann?” my dad asked. “Oh yah! I forgot.”I said.

“You need a time to make up to each other James, go ahead.” My mom said. “I know mom. I have to go.”

I said as I left. I drove to Ann’s house. When I reached there, as usual, the gate opened for me.

“Manang Minda.” I called after seeing her fixing the magazines in the living room. “Sir James!” she said.

“Is Ann here?” I asked. “Oh she just left sir.”  “Is that so? Is she with Jenny, or Fretzie?” I asked.

“She’s with a new friend.” She answered. “New friend?” I thought to myself. “Oh I see.

Thanks Manang.” I said.
