JAMES’ POV:

After my sister did a makeover on Ann, she went down and talked to me.

“She’s going out with Ivan.” she said plainly. “I know.” I replied. “You know? So, it’s

really fine with you if Ann’s going out with another guy.” She asked with her brows up.

“Ivan’s no other guy. I know him. Ann’s safe with him.” I said. “I know she’s safe with

him. But don’t you think her heart’s not safe with him?” she suddenly asked which made me

froze. “What are you pointing on this time?” I asked irritatingly.

“Better not change your mind James. I’m telling you. Never run after Ann if Ivan would get her.”

she warned. “What the hell are you thinking Lauren? It’s impossible for Ann to fall for Ivan.

She knows Ivan is madly in love with another woman!” I said. “You don’t know what love can do.

You don’t even know how Ann can fall for someone.” She said. She was right.

I know Ivan’s going to be a big threat. “Threat? Hey James! Why are you even thinking Ivan’s a threat?

In the first place your not into Ann.” I said to myself. Suddenly, someone appeared from behind

Lauren. It was Ann. I was mesmerized on how pretty she was. “Ann?” I said as I stood up.

Lauren was terrified after learning Ann’s presence. “You look good Ann.” I complimented.

“Thanks to Lauren.” She said. “It’s nothing Ann.” My sister said as she stood up as well.

Ann was really pretty. I must say, she's stunning.

Even before, Ann was already beautiful, but I just couldn’t look at her the way I look at Devon.

I see Ann as my very best friend. She’s like a sister to me. But now? It somewhat changed.

“James? James?” voices were calling. I realized that I have been staring at Ann for a

long period of time. “Oh, sorry.” I said. “It seems like someone’s mesmerized with your beauty Ann?”

Lauren teased. Suddenly, we heard a voice greeting us. “Hey James! Ann! And, uh Lauren?”

the voice was from Ivan. Lauren faced at him and greeted him as well.

“Hey Ivan! long time no see huh? How are you?” she asked. “Well, I’m fine. How ‘bout you?”

he asked back. “I’m fine too.” She said. Suddenly, Ivan’s attention was diverted to Ann.

“Hey Ann, you look wonderful.” He complimented. “Well, thanks. Lauren did this.” She answered.

I felt sharp pain inside me. It was like my ego was hurt. “Wait why am I even hurt? Am I jealous?”

I asked myself. “Well, I think we gotta go James.” Lauren said.

“Why now Lauren? I want to stay here with Ann.” I thought to myself. “Wait wait wait, what the hell

are you thinking James?” I thought to myself not realizing I was smirking. “You okay James?”

Ann asked which snapped me back to the real world. “Oh, yeah. Uhm we should be going.

Have fun.” I said as I started to walked. “Okay. Drive safe. Bye Lauren! Bye James.”

she said. “Bye guys.” Ivan said as well. “Bye.” Lauren said as she waved. When we

were already in the car, I garnered glares from my sister. “What’s that for?”

I asked innocently. “What do you think?” she asked back. “I don’t know.” I replied as I started the engine.

When we were out the Li’s residence, I stopped the car once again to confront my sister.

“Can you stop staring at me? I can’t concentrate on driving.” I complained. “James, the stare you

made awhile ago, what’s it for?” she asked frankly. “I, she, she looked beautiful. That’s all.” I said. “Not a

good alibi. James, tell me.” she said as she looked at me intently. “I just thought of something.” I said.

“What is it?” she asked. “It’s nothing Lauren.”I said as I started driving once again. Still,

she continued on bugging me but I didn’t mind her. I received a phone call but I cannot take

it because I was driving and I thought it would be a good idea that Lauren would take it so that

she wouldn’t bug me anymore. “Please pick up the phone.” I said. She got the phone call from Ryan.

“Oh Ryan, this is Lauren. James’ is driving right now. What do you want to tell him?” “Oh

I see okay.” She said as their conversation ended. “What did he say?” I asked.

“He got a heart problem right now and he needs you.” Lauren said. “That man. He

would usually say he love Jenny that much but he keeps on looking to another girls.

Tsk tsk tsk.” I said. “At least he’s trying to win Jenny back.” Lauren supported Ryan.

“How about you? Aren’t you gonna do something to win Ann’s heart back?” she teased.

“Stop it Lauren! I’m going to bring you home first then I’d go to Ryan okay?” I said to

change the topic. “Okay, but I guess you should win your game baby James.” she

teased once again. I didn’t bother to listen to any of her talks. I just focused on driving

until we reached home. “Gotta go Lauren! Bye.” I said as she went down the car.

“Go fight the battle baby James!” she said to irritate me. “Aish..” was all I said and sped off.

I called up Ryan to ask him where we’re supposed to meet. “Hey Ryan!” I said.

“Yeah James, I’m home now.” He said, obviously drunk. “Okay I’m coming.” I said as

I hung up the phone. I drove to Ryan’s house and found him drinking.

“Hey Ryan!” I called as I stopped him from taking another shot. “Just let me James!”

he pleaded. I took off my hands and allowed him to drink. “Is this about Jenny?”

I asked. “She’s breaking up with me.” he said in a sad voice. “Tell me what happened.”

I said. “She said she had too much.” He started. “I know it was all my fault but I never thought it

would end up this way.  Whenever she caught me with some other girls, she wouldn’t mind and

just forgives me. I never thought she was feeling bad about it.” He said. “Dude, who the hell feel

bad if she would see her boyfriend flirting around with other girls?” I joked. He gave me a death

glare and spoke, “Are you my friend or not?” he asked. “Okay, okay, I’m sorry. Don’t you

think it’s just too early for you to drink?” I joked once again. “In times like this? I don’t even care.”

He said. I patted his back and tried to give him advices though I’m not really good at this.

“If you love Jenny, then you’ll do anything just to get her back.” I said in an unsure tone.

“It’s easy for you to say that James. But you know what? It would be the hardest thing to do.”

He said which confused me. “What do you mean?” I asked. “I had her once, I had

her twice, I had her many times, but see, I’ve hurt her more than a hundred times.

They say there are second chances, but I have wasted it. She gave me third, fourth and many other

chances, but I didn’t precious it. Instead, I have hurt her even more.

Come to think of it, Jenny’s already perfect but I wasn’t contented, I looked for other girls and

still wasn’t contented. But every time I’m with those other girls, I can’t feel happiness

unlike every time I’m with Jenny. And so, I always end up with her. I never thought she

would break up with me. I never thought I would regret doing those things.” he said as

tears started falling from his eyes. All I could do was to pat him at his back. To see Ryan

in that situation made me think twice. “What if sooner or later I would regret leaving Ann?

What if I’ll regret all the words that I have said and the actions that I have done?

What if it already too late to make up her mind? To love me back as how she loved me at the past.

This can’t be.” I thought to myself. “James, if I were you, make the most out of it. You might not know,

she’ll never be yours ever again.” Ryan said as his head fell down the table.

I could see he was really drunk. There were 8 empty bottles of beer on the table which

I guess he drank before I came in. “Hey Ryan! Ryan!” I called as I shook him. I called out

the maid to help me with Ryan. She opened the door of his room and I assisted

Ryan from lying. When I was about to leave, I assisted the maid to take care of

him, then I left. as I was I my car, thought of what Ryan told me.

FLASHBACK..

James, if I were you, make the most out of it. You might not know, she’ll never be yours ever again.”

Though Ryan was drunk, he was right. I should make the most of it. But I wasn’t so

sure if it was for Ann. Though Devon has hurt me, it doesn’t mean I lost my love for

her. I still do love her. But…

FLASHBACK..

“Because you know who my crushes are. It’s so unfair you wouldn’t tell yours.”

“I would just tell you in the right time.”

“In the right time? Why? And when will be that right time?”

“”Uhm, secret.”

“Just tell me!”

“If I’ll tell you, you’ll just gonna be disgusted.”

“What? Don’t tell me you’re having a crush on one of the geeks Ann? Hahaha *while shouting and running away from Ann*”

“Shut up James! It’s not that. *catching James up. Suddenly she fell*”

“Ann!*running towards Ann.*”

“Ouch!*trying to get up*”

“I’m sorry Ann.”

“It’s okay.”

“She keeps on forgiving me with all the things that I have done to her.

But I don’t think she could still forgive me if she would get back her memory.

What I did to her was too much already.” I thought to myself as I continued driving.
