JAMES’ POV:

(Flashback..)

“James I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to!”

“Stop it liar!”

“But I wasn’t lying!”

“Stop! Stop it please?”

“But you won’t..”

“Leave me alone! I don’t need a liar like you!”

“I love you James!”

(End of Flashback..)

“What have I done?” I asked myself. I was reminiscing the things that had happened almost a month ago.

“Ann.” I whispered. I heard someone knocking from outside my room.“James?”

a voice called. It was my roommate in the dormitory. “Dude! What is it?” I asked.

“Devon’s waiting for you outside. Do you want to see her?” he asked.

I didn’t answer him but instead, I went out my room and went down to see her.

“What are you doing here?” I asked after seeing her. “Look James. Please forgive me.”

she pleaded. “Sorry for what? I wished I could just have listened to Ann. You’re a liar Devon!”

I yelled. “I’m sorry James! I did that because I love you!” she said.

“Get out Devon! Leave me alone please! Just leave!” I said madly.

(Flashback..)

“So you were just using me to make your ex boyfriend jealous?”

“No James let me explain!”

“Explain what? You don’t have to Devon! I’ve seen and heard everything!”

“Just let me explain!”

“Shut up Devon!”

(End of Flashback..)

“Are you going to get out by yourself or you want me to drag you out?” I asked irritatingly.

“James please!” she said. “I said get out!” I yelled. It was as if I turned into a monster at

this time. The other boys who were also in the dormitory stopped on what they’re doing

and focused to us. Fortunately, Devon left the dorm ahead of time before I could hurt her.

“James! You okay?” my roommate asked. “Just please don’t let her in again.”

I said as I left. After an hour, I decided to go out the dorm and have a break outside.

I drove to the nearest café and had some coffee. I sat down and a waiter came asking

for my order. After I ordered the waiter came back bringing all that I have ordered. “James?”

a voice called. I turned back and saw Ryan, one of my best friends. “Ryan!”

I said as I patted his back. “Dude! You’re one hell of a crazy man! How could you lie to us

and tell us you’re going to the states with your dad?” he said as he sat down the other side.

“I’m sorry dude! You know my situation.” I said. “About the marriage thing?”

he asked as if he doesn’t know what I was referring to. “Yah.” I said coldly.

“Oh! About that James. Have you heard the news?” he asked. “News? What news?” I asked.

“That day when you left and everyone thought you were abroad, she was involved in an accident.”

Ryan said which choked me. “What? You’re kidding right?” I said still doubtful of what he said.

“I’m not kidding dude! Jenny even told me that she was in coma for almost a month.

She just recovered recently and now she’s home.” He added. I was dumbfounded of

what I have learned from Ryan. Ryan was still blabbing on other things but I wasn’t listening to him anymore.

“Thanks dude for the information I have to go now bye!” I said as I left. I could still hear his

voice calling but I didn’t bother to listen. I went in my car and drove to the dormitory.

After arriving in the dorm, I hurriedly packed my things which confused my roommates.

“Why you’re so in a hurry? Why are packing your things?” a roommate asked.

“I have to go guys.” I said. I talked to the landlady of the dorm and paid all the

bills and hurriedly left. While I was driving, I tried to contact my mom. “Mom?”

I asked. “James.” she said coldly. “Mom. I’m coming home.” I said. “Really?”

she asked still in her cold voice. “Yes mom. I’m sorry.” I said as I hung up the

phone. Flashbacks from the past were coming in one by one.

(Flashback..)

“I hate this! I’ve been living in this mansion for the rest of my life, but I still do

not know the magic behind this gate?!”

“Don’t worry Ann. I’m sure you’ll figure it out. We could figure it out together.”

“Really?”

“I bet your gift’s cheap!”

“Of course not! I spent my allowance for this month just to buy you that gift!”

“Really? Thank you baby James!”

“Stop calling me that!”

“Baby James baby James! hahaha..”

“Stop!”

“Okay okay baby James.”

 “Can you just open it?”

“Okay..”

“You like it?”
“A diary?”

“Not bad. It’s cute but..”
“But what?”

“Where the hell is the key? How can I open it?”

“It’s with me.”

“What’s the point of giving me a diary if I do not have the key to open it?”

“Because you can just only write if you’re with me.”

“What?”
“I’m just making sure! Maybe you’ll write something bad about me.”

(End of Flashback..)

During my drive home, those memories kept on playing in my mind. I didn’t

even thought of what to say to my mom after what I did to her. I arrived at our

house and parked my car outside. I pressed the doorbell and a maid opened

it for me. I went in our house and saw my mom in the living room. “Mom?” I

said with a croaky voice. “I’m sorry mom. I’m sorry for what I did.” I said as tears

came flowing. She hugged me tightly and cried as well. “You’re forgiven my son.”

She said. “Thank you mom.” I said. The rest that happened was history already.

I went to my room and thought of many things until I fell asleep. The next morning,

I woke up and went out of my bed. I took a shower and changed. I fixed myself after

that and went out my room and headed to the kitchen. “James! I prepared you

breakfast.” She said. “Thank you mom” I said as I hugged her. “Are you going

anywhere after?” she asked. “Uhm, yeah. I just want to visit Ann.” I said in a sad tone.

“Are you sure James?” she asked. “Yes mom.”I said. “Okay. Take first your breakfast.”

She said. I had my breakfast and rested for a moment. After that, I decided to go to Ann’s

house. I took my car and drive to the Li’s residence.
