Chapter Seven   Hyesung woke up with a start. Eric was breathing softly under him, arms wrapped around him securely as he dreamt in the morning hours. Hyesung smiled, raising his hand and  Eric's cheek tenderly. Hyesung stayed like that, his eyes never waving from Eric's perfect face. Even in his fifties, Eric still looked the same as he did when he was in his thirties, aside from the white strands of hair that poked every now and then when he combed his hair.    A thud was heard, and Hyesung remembered that something woke him up. Even though Eric was a light sleeper, he still hasn't stirred from his slumber. Hyesung decided that he could use a little bit more shut-eye, so he grazed his hand on Eric's arm and lightly pulled it off him. Once he was free, Hyesung placed the arm back around Eric's torso.    Eric snorted once before turning over to his stomach, scratching his while he was at it.    Hyesung felt his eye twitch.    Nonetheless, he grabbed his robe and slipped it on before leaving the room. He turned to his left, feeling his hands graze over three door knobs before turning the fourth one.    Changmin was sound asleep with only his head sticking out of the covers, the room glowing a dark green from the sun poking through the evergreen curtains.    Hyesung smiled before closing the door and walked an extra two doors down, surprised to find the door open with its occupant gone. He looked around to see if he could find him, and then heard the shower spray going off from the bathroom not far from the room. Hyesung made his way towards it, but then heard another thud from his right. Leaving the child alone, he walked over to the noise. There was a clatter and Hyesung found himself in the kitchen, Junsu had his arms around his waist and a stem of grapes poking out of his mouth.    "Junsu, are you alright?" Hyesung asked and walked over to the boy. Junsu blinked at him in surprise, but didn't say anything as Hyesung palmed his cheeks and checked him over.    Last night, Hyesung had helped him wrap some bandages over his torso and knee, and put some cooling salve over fresh bruises on his arms. None of the marks stayed though, as Hyesung had noticed. Junsu healed very quickly, as if the bruises were just smudges from a pen.    As he stood there, he noticed that Junsu wasn't even wearing his bandages. Hyesung took a turn for the better as he picked up Junsu's shirt and saw that the bruise he encountered yesterday was nothing more than a red swelling. Junsu pulled his shirt down.   "I'm fine, halbeoni. Just... woke up early." Junsu said over the stem. Blushing immediately, he pulled the stem out of his mouth, bit his lip and fidget with his bare feet, apologizing softly. Hyesung chuckled.    Jaejoong probably taught him not to talk with his mouth full. It was a habit Hyesung had a hard time making Jaejoong break when he was seven years old.   And that was because Eric encouraged it by doing it himself.    Hyesung shook his head.    "It's alright. What were you doing in here? Couldn't help but wake up from the noise." Hyesung said, giving Junsu a look over to make sure that he was really okay before he took a seat at a bar stool at the table.    Junsu bit his lip again. He seemed very nervous as he was caught doing something he wasn't supposed to and took small glances away from Hyesung then back. Hyesung looked over at what Junsu was looking at and saw the stove, with a low setting and an egg carton sitting beside it.   Hyesung looked back at the boy.   "Junsu? Were you trying to cook?"    It was at this moment that he noted that Jaejoong, or Yunho, probably never let Junsu fend for himself as Junsu's eyes widened and mouth open in shock at his question.   When he couldn't answer, he gulped lightly and looked away.     "Aw, sweetie." Hyesung got up from his seat and made his way over to the stove. "You could've asked me for help. I would've helped you." Junsu raised his eyebrows in surprise.   "You...are really okay with me trying to cook?" Junsu finally asked, shock evident in his voice.   "Why not? I learned how to cook in your age." Hyesung said before pointing at a spoon and a stick of margarine.   Junsu wasted no time, running off towards the dining table and grabbed one of the chairs, dragged it across the floor to the stove and stood on top of it.   Hyesung couldn't help but look at Junsu's wandering eyes as he checked everything that he did. When Hyesung decided to hand him the spoon, Junsu was almost terrified, grabbing it with shaky hands and clumsily scrambling the eggs. With an awkward smile, Junsu took a small glance at his halbeoni, and was amazed that Hyesung only stood there with a smile on his face, his hands tapping lightly on the wooden counter patiently.    "Now what you have to do now is wait until all the yolk is fully cooked..."    It was a comfortable silence in the kitchen, only the noises of the spoon tapping the pan lightly could be heard and a small bit of laughter.    ---------   When Eric woke up, the first thing he noticed was that Hyesung wasn't in his arms. Or on the bed.   He scanned the room before getting up, yawning uncontrollably to the bathroom. After relieving himself he walked out of the room with only his pajama bottoms, scanning the hallways for his currently missing lover.    "Yah, Mun Hyesung!" He yawned once more. "Where did you--"   He stopped himself mid-sentence when he looked inside the kitchen, seeing the man in question along with Junsu eating eggs. They both turned to look, and Junsu quickly turned his gaze away from his shirtless grandfather and Hyesung frowned, glaring at Eric.    "Eric!" Hyesung placed the fork down. "Go put a shirt on!"   "Why?" Eric placed his hands on his hips with a conceited smirk.   "You're scaring Junsu with your saggy body!" Hyesung retorted.   "What?!" Eric gasped as he looked down at his well-sculpted chest. "Yah! I'll have you know that I worked hard for this godly body!"   Hyesung rolled his eyes.   "Women throw themselves at my feet because of this wondrous body!" Eric continued.   "If anyone was at your feet it was to beg you to put a shirt on," Hyesung scoffed. "Now go do that."   "Hyesungie!" Eric placed his hands over his chest, suddenly feeling self-conscious. "How could you?!"   With that, Eric ran back to the bedroom, leaving Hyesung and Junsu to giggle by themselves as they finished eating.   Minwoo his bed, the noise of his grandfather whining in shame and evil laughter waking him up. Yawning, he reached over for his pillow only to find it missing.   Minwoo groaned.   He got up half-way and looked around his room. Sure enough, his pillow had been thrown off the bed. Again. He debated whether or not to get up and get it or just leave it there.   Choices, choices.    He took a small glance at the clock and saw that it was still very early in the morning, wondering why grandpa and halbeoni are up so early.    His hand fumbled with the night stand, reaching for his phone and pulling it to his face. The bright light stung his eyes like the sun and he checked to see his missed messages and calls. Sure enough, he had almost ten missed calls from three different girls. Smiling to himself, he the voicemail, hearing them demand that he answer immediately when they call.    He couldn't help himself. He loves the attention from the ladies. He deleted each voicemail and got up completely. He walked out of the room, shirtless, and walked to the kitchen. Junsu shrieked and Hyesung frowned again.   "I know that Eric is contagious, but I didn't think he was that contagious."   Minwoo looked at himself, then back at them.   "What?"   -----------   Even at a decent hour, it was quiet at the table. Changmin had yet to wake up from his slumber and Minwoo, now fully clothed, was sitting patiently with a phone on his ear talking casually to someone on the other line. No one was paying attention. Junsu had finished his breakfast, lightly smacking on a pop tart now while he waited for his other brothers to show up. Doyoon was still MIA at the moment, but they did hear a struggle between Eric and the boy earlier.    They figured Eric had something to do with it.    Hyesung was cleaning the counters for the third time when Changmin came in, yawning loudly and scratching his head. Hyesung smiled and ushered him to his seat, and when he sat down he looked over at Junsu. Then he zoned in on the pop tart in his mouth.   "Yah! What did I tell you about eating my f-!"    Changmin stopped and his teeth in annoyance. He had dropped his head as if deciding something, then faced his plate. "Never mind."   Minwoo stopped talking mid-sentence, mouth dropping wide. Junjin, who had been playing games in the living room, turned around in surprise. Junsu twisted his head. Hyesung was shocked as well, but remembered that Eric had a talk with him that night and he smiled. Changmin poured himself a glass of orange juice and took two large gulps before he lifted his fork and proceeded to scramble his eggs a bit more and crushing his sausages delicately.   Changmin took his first bite on a sausage before he noticed everyone eyeing him.    "What?"   Silence ensued until Minwoo reached over and grabbed Changmin's relunctant hand.    "Changmin, are you sick?"   Eric decided at this time he was allowed to show his face, face shaved and hair combed nicely back. He had on a gray suit with matching pants and a black, button-up dresser shirt tucked underneath. He was clumsily fixing his tie when Hyesung practically jumped him, automatically finding his hands on the two ends of the silk and fixing it. When he was finished, he tucked in the tie and gave Eric a light kiss on the lips.    All the boys scrunched their faces.    "Grandpa, what are you dressed for?" Changmin asked, trying to get Minwoo's hand off his and avoiding the awkward tension. Eric grinned.   "I got a call from your Dad. He had forgotten about Doyoon's pre-registration for school that was scheduled today, so he had asked me to register him." His grin seemed to have gotten bigger. Hyesung rolled his eyes at him.   "So that was the reason why you were fighting with Doyoon this morning?"   Eric glared at his husband.    "I wasn't fighting. I was...negotiating."   "In what terms?"   "Either he put on his clothes and get ready for school, or he put on his clothes and get ready for school. He had a hard time choosing."    Hyesung couldn't help but laugh as now, Doyoon walked in with a plain gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.    "I don't wanna go to school!"    Eric crossed his arms.   "Well, your Dad wants you to go so you better go."   "But I don't wanna!"    "But you gotta!"    Doyoon scowled.    Changmin twisted his head, an evil glint in his eye and a grin to accompany it.    "It's not that bad, Doyoon. Just win the heart of your teacher and soon you will be doing naughty things and not getting punished for it."   Doyoon smiled in glee. "Really?"   If anything, Changmin's grin grew wider.   "Just try it."   Hyesung felt a shiver up his spine. He nudged Eric who was taking a pancake from a plate and dipping it in syrup, ignoring the evil tension that soon filled the table.   "Ppo?"   Minwoo felt that it was the time to continue talking on the phone with whoever-girl-it-was and Junjin flipped back towards his game. Junsu had started to chew on his pop tart and Changmin dropped his head back to his meal. Doyoon looked at his halbeoni innocently.   As if nothing ever happened. Hyesung sighed.   "Never mind."    ---------------------   "So you rented a car."   Hyesung stood against the van, with only three of the children inside. Eric stood beside another car.   "Yup."   "Just so you can register Doyoon."   "Yup."   "By yourself?"   "Don't make it sound worse than the intended purpose. This gives you time to come back home and clean whatever you want."   Hyesung glared.   "Yah! I don't want to always clean!"   Eric patted his arm.   "Could've fooled me."   Hyesung growled.    "I'm going to murder you when you sleep."   "Gives me time to change my will."   Hyesung pouted and crossed his arms, obviously not happy that Eric was going to leave him alone. Eric smiled and kisse
