Yongguk had finally convinced Zelo to leave him and Jewel in peace, with the bribery of cherry tomatoes.

‘S-s-so what’s up?’ Jewel stammered anxiously, she had no idea why Yongguk had wanted to talk to her.

He had taken the seat in which Zelo had been sitting previously, causing Jewel to begin to fidget; her fingers tapped the table. The nervousness was eating her alive.

‘Relax Jewel’ he soothed, as he put his hands on top of hers, to stop her fingers from tapping.

She smiled and let out an uneasy laugh, as she felt his large hands encase her.

‘I’m sorry for how Himchan has been treating you’

Jewel hesitated before answering. Having just heard Zelo list all the nice things Himchan had done for her, had made her think twice. Maybe Himchan wasn’t as much of a jerk as she made him out to be.

‘It’s not your fault…I think Himchan is just…misunderstood’ she trailed awkwardly.

‘Why is she defending him?’ thought Yongguk to himself, as he tried his utmost to contain his sheer disbelief.

‘Yeah…he is misunderstood…but it doesn’t justify the way he calls you horrible names’ replied Yongguk.

‘I suppose’ she smiled weakly.

‘How do you feel about Himchan?’ blurted Yongguk, causing Jewel’s eyes to widen at his brash question.

‘U-um…why do you ask?’ she countered, not wanting to directly answer, for some strange reason.

‘Well…if you don’t like him, then I was thinking of doing something…’

‘What were you planning to do?’ her curiosity spurred her to ask.

‘I’d ask you to be my girlfriend’ he admitted.

‘O-oh, r-really?’ was all she could say, she’d just completely been thrown by his bold declaration.

‘Would you say yes…? Supposing I did ask?’

Her answer was cut off as she felt her hand violently being pulled.

‘How dare you hold hands with my woman’ an angry voice growled.

‘Don’t talk about her like she’s your property’ Yongguk retorted as he suddenly stood up.

‘She will never choose you’ the cocky man smirked confidently.

‘What makes you think she’d choose you instead?!’Yongguk gnashed his teeth.
