'' [Y/N] ahh, Kyungsoo came to visit, so wake up now! Ppali ppali! '' Your mum shouted, as you were still in bed, lazy to get out of your comfortable bed.

'' Aishh okay! '' You shouted back, as you got up and went to the bathroom to wash up. Kyungsoo has been your friend for about a year now, but has been your boyfriend’s friend for many, many years, ever since their schooling days. You got to know him when Yixing, your boyfriend who had gone missing for a year, introduced you to him. Well, many people, especially your parents told you to get over Yixing and accept Kyungsoo, but you just couldn’t do it. There were so many mysteries behind his disappearance. He won’t leave you alone without saying anything. You used to cry yourself to sleep every night after he left, but not anymore because you believed that he’ll be back. And since Kyungsoo’s still there, he’ll always comfort you. He also believed that Yixing will be back, as after being friends for so many years, he just knows. Sometimes, you get really annoyed when your parents say bad things about him, no, not your parents, just your dad. He seems to really dislike him and prefer Kyungsoo since his family background is better. And then your mum will always be caught in the middle, and hence she seldom voiced out her opinions.

You went out of your room and went to the living room, to find a shy Kyungsoo carrying some packed food and waiting for you. And also, your dad who’s having his breakfast. '' Yah [Y/N], will you forget that, that what’s his name again, ohh Yixing. Yixing already?! It’s been a year already! '' Your dad said as he read the newspaper while having his breakfast at the same time. It has always been his habit. You looked at him, and decided not to say anything as you don’t want any trouble in the morning. You took Kyungsoo’s wrist and lead him into your room without saying anything. '' Look at your daughter, '' your dad said, loudly so purpose so that you can hear.

'' [Y/N] ahh you sure this is okay? '' Kyungsoo asked.

'' Yeaa, I just don’t want trouble early in the morning, '' you replied, showing him a reassuring smile.

'' I brought breakfast, '' he said as he handed you what he was holding onto.

'' You woke up in the morning and cooked again? Aish pabo I told you not to do that didn’t I! '' You said.

'' But I want to do it, '' he replied with a warm smile. Yixing does that too, you thought. Over this one year, you couldn’t help but notice the similarities in the two of them. Both enjoyed cooking, both are dense and do silly things, no wonder they’re best friends. '' [Y/N] ? '' Kyungsoo called, and you snapped out of your thoughts.

'' Ah mianhae Kyungsoo, let’s have our breakfast now~ '' You said.

The two of you started eating and you almost chocked on your food when Kyungsoo asked, '' [Y/N] ahh, I was just wondering, if, IF, I ever confess to you will you accept me? ''

'' Kyungsoo ahh wae geurae? '' You asked. It was weird of him to ask you such a question. In the past one year, you noticed Kyungsoo’s feelings towards you, but you never wanted to talk about it, because deep down you know you still love Yixing. People say the best way to recover from a broken relationship is to have another one soon, but you don’t think so. And you didn’t want both of you to get hurt. You didn’t want to treat Kyungsoo like a second Yixing, he doesn’t deserve that.

'' Ani I was just joking~ You really don’t my humour sometimes huh don’t you~ '' He chuckled.

'' Yah that scared me! '' You said as you hit his arm lightly.

'' Aish don’t do that [Y/N]! '' He said. After that, the two of you spent some time talking to each other about how things are going on and then, Kyungsoo asked, '' [Y/N] ahh, how long will you wait for Yixing to come back? What if he never comes back? '' as he points to a photo that was placed on your table, a photo of you and Yixing.

'' I don’t know either, Kyungsoo. Maybe someday I’ll marry someone else, but one thing I know for sure is that I’ll still love him. Why are you asking me all these questions all of a sudden? Is there something wrong? '' You answered him and asked.

'' Nothing, I just hope he’ll come back soon.. It’s late already, I got to go! '' He said as he stood up from his seat.

'' Alright, see you soon! '' You said as you send him out.

'' [Y/N] ah don’t mind your dad you know he’s always like that, '' your mum said to you as you closed the door.

'' Hyung, when are you coming back? [Y/N] is still waiting for you, and you know me I don’t think I can keep it a secret any longer. I might fall for [Y/N] too so ppali ppali, jebal-yo~ '' Kyungsoo typed quickly into his phone, hoping that his hyung will reply soon.

'' I’ll be back soon, don’t tell anyone about it, '' was his reply.

'' Mum, I just don’t get why he dislike Yixing so much. I’m the one dating Yixing not him right what right does he have to hate on the person I love so much? '' You asked as tears started to form in your eyes.

'' Don’t cry [Y/N], umma is always behind you~ I like Yixing too~ '' Your mum said as she hugged you and patted your shoulder.

That made you laughed a little and you said, '' Thanks mum. '' You went back into your room and sat on your bed. You took your photo with Yixing on your side table and looked at it. '' Yixing ahh, when will you come back? If you really don’t want me anymore then at least say it to me, face to face. What do you think you’re doing by disappearing like that.. You promised me you’ll be together with me forever, have you forgotten that already? '' You said as you touched his face on the photo.

A few days later, Kyungsoo came to visit you again. '' Yah [Y/N] look at this new boy band! As a guy I feel inferior after seeing them oh my gosh! ''

You couldn’t help but laughed at your dorky friend. '' Let me take a look~ '' You said as you took the magazine from him. '' Aish you’re better looking Kyungsoo~ They don’t have big round eyes like you! '' You added.

'' Aish I’ll thank you then hehe~ '' Kyungsoo said as he blushed slightly. '' But they’re a big hit now, they only debuted a few weeks and look at all this, this is insane! I think they’ll really be successful in the future~ '' He added.

'' Mm, but part of it is because they’re under a good company too right? But why the sudden interest in bands, especially boy bands Kyungsoo? '' You questioned.

'' Thank you so much Kyungsoo, for taking care of her when I’m not there. Don’t worry, I will, and I’ll never leave her again, '' he replied.

It was 1pm already and you made your way to your neighbourhood park. You can’t wait to find out why Kyungsoo decided to meet you here, as he seldom plan surprises and whatsoever. It had also been several months since you last been here, as this place holds many memories that you and Yixing shared. As you walked deeper into the park, memories of you and Yixing started coming back into your mind, like it had just happened yesterday. You remembered him sitting on a bench, playing his guitar and singing for you, having a mini picnic over that patch of grass, and so much more. Then, as you moved your sight away from the surroundings and looked in front, there was a guy wearing a black blazer with a tee inside and a pair of jeans. He saw you, and he spread out his hands, smiling widely. You walked towards him and took a closer look, it’s not Kyungsoo, it was Yixing. You stopped for a while, and you felt that your heart was beating so much faster. He’s back, he’s really back, you thought. '' [Y/N] ahh! '' Yixing said from where he was standing. It’s really him, his voice, and the way he calls your name. You started to run towards him, and you hugged him tightly, so, so tightly. You didn’t want to let him go anymore. Tears started falling down as he hugged you back.

'' I miss you so much, '' you said softly, and before you even started asking any questions, he cupped your chin up for a long, passionate kiss, leaving you breathless.

'' Mianhae [Y/N] ahh, jeongmal mianhae, I’m back now, '' he said. '' Over this one year I invested all my savings and started my own career, and now that I’ve made some progress, I came back. I came back for you, '' he added and kneeled down on one knee. '' Will you marry me? '' He asked as he took out a tiny box and opened it, and you see a bright diamond ring inside.

You grabbed his arms and said, '' Get up first Yixing, why did you have the money to buy this? And what career?? ''

He got up and answered, '' I started a company, you know that boy band right? '' You nodded and he said with a smile, '' I’m their boss~ So of course I earn more than them right~ ''

'' What?? '' You can’t believe what you just heard.

'' You can’t believe I managed to achieve all this in one year too huh? You’re my motivation in this one year~ Whenever I feel like giving up, the thought of coming back to you pushes me, I want your dad to be proud of his son-in-law too~ '' He said as he holds you closer by your waist.

'' So that’s what you’ve been up to for the past one year? You pabo.. '' You said as you hold onto his blazer.

'' I wanted to make more money so that I can hold the best wedding for you [Y/N], for us. So, marry me? '' He asked again and you nodded.

'' Alright, let’s go now, '' he said as he wiped your tears away.

'' Where to? '' You asked.

'' To your house and let me greet my parents-in-law officially, '' he said with a wink. Before you said anything, he waved to another direction and said, '' Thanks Kyungsoo! You’re indeed my buddy for life! '' You turned over to see Kyungsoo standing there and waving back to the two of you.

'' Wait, so.. Yah so Kyungsoo knows where you were all along?! '' You asked and Yixing nodded. '' Yah.. ''  You said as you started to hit him on his chest.

'' Aishh don’t do that, it hurts, '' Yixing said as he grabbed your wrist. '' If I don’t leave my best friend here to take care of you while I’m not around I’ll be worrying about you all day long, and I wouldn’t be able to focus. And that means I won’t be able to comeback in such a short time to marry you, '' he added.

'' You think one year was short?! You think a year without you was easy?! '' You said as you pinched his arm.

'' AH! Aish yeobo don’t do that! It hurts! Really! '' Yixing exclaimed. '' Anyway I’m pretty sure your dad is gonna accept me now, I’m Director Zhang! '' He added, and you can’t help but let out a chuckle. '' Wae geurae what are you laughing at!! '' He asked.

'' Ani, I just can’t picture it, '' you answered him.

'' Aish, I’ll bring you to my company soon then~ '' He replied. '' Wait, how about now? '' He said with a wink as he holds your hand tightly and interlocked his fingers with yours, and pulls you along.

'' We’re really going?? '' You asked as you followed him.

'' Of course! And we’ll go to meet my parents-in-law later~ I’ll show the kids Mrs Zhang today! '' Yixing said with a bright smile.
