"is it just me?" Sooyoung shared to Taeyeon while looking at Jonghyun who's sitting patiently near the door step "Jonghyun is always here. Not just always here but everyday"

"I thought I will be the first one who'd blurt that out. Are they somehow......dating?" Both of them slowly turned their heads to face each other with huge, opened eyes and they can't stop blinking

"Soo, Taeng. What are you guys doing?" Yoona came out from the kitchen and disrupted their conversation. It startled them a bit, worried that Yoona might've heard their talk

"Yoong, can we ask something?" the curious Sooyoung asked. Taeyeon elbows her and mouths words

"are you crazy? You're making it obvious" she mouthed

"we have the right to know. Don't worry" Sooyoung whispered back 

"what is it?" Yoona, who has no idea with everything, faced them with a very innocent face drawn in her

"it's not that we're being malicious with things but, are you dating Kim Jonghyun?"

"what?" Yoona kept blinking

"allow me to help you" Jonghyun felt a bit amused as he looked at Yoona's eyes with a mark of dried tears that failed to fall.Is she really this good in holding back her tears in front of others?

"help? Jonghyun, I don't need---."

"you don't need help? Why? You don't want to bother others because of your personal problems? Then what's the point of telling if you won't allow others to help? I want to help you because I don't mind. I want to help you because you need one"

"how?" Yoona has given up. Yes, she needed help. A different kind of help that she thought she might get from Jonghyun

"I'll make it simple to you. Let's date" Jonghyun stated with a cool accent

"date?" Yoona pronounced the word hesitantly

"you want to forget your feelings for Minho? Involve yourself with a guy. Drag all your attention to me, not to Minho. In that way----."

"I get your point but, if we will start dating, others would know and once Minho knew, he will react like hell. You know that guy, right? Guys that approach me are like mosquitos to him" Yoona gained a little interest with Jonghyun's idea of giving her help

"we don't need to let him know or even Sooyoung and Taeyeon. Maybe we can't really call it a date but like, spending more time to get to know a friend? Just think of it that way. I know it's kind of bothering for you that you're dating Kim Jonghyun"

"it is bothering that Kim Jonghyun, the guy who usually dates hot, y and rich girls, suddenly started dating a girl like me" Yoona let out a cute small laugh which Jonghyun found adorable

"so, I'm going to be your secret boyfriend?"

"I thought you don't want to use the term date so that it won't be burdening and now, you want to be my secret boyfriend? Well, it sounds cuter that way though" Yoona pouted and her look is off a much better feeling which relieves Jonghyun's heart

"does that mean we can secretly act like a couple on our own?"

"didn't I say that it sounds cute to call you my secret boyfriend?"

"I guess that's a yes"

"take note, we're just pretending"

Yoona smirked before answering

"Taeyeon, you're asking me if I'm dating Jonghyun? It's Kim Jonghyun for crying out loud. Of course not" Yoona confidently denied so that it won't be obvious that she's lying. She even said Jonghyun’s name frustratedly

"thank goodness” Sooyoung said in relief “but since I've been seeing you going out together, you looked happier than usual. He might be some good influence to you, I guess, though he's a playboy. I think I don't mind if you two would date" Sooyoung shrugged her shoulder

"me too. It's good you give time to another guy. You know what I'm talking about, right?" Taeyeon added

"maybe we should all go home now because the guy over there is waiting for me" Yoona turned her head at Jonghyun, at the same time when he also glanced at Yoona. Their eyes met, then Jonghyun made a simple wink. Good thing that Sooyoung and Taeyeon didn't see.

Jonghyun is walking Yoona to her house. After they've been more open towards each other because of this dating thing, they are now walking side by side on the sidewalk unlike before where Yoona is always staying behind. Both of them do admit that it brought them closer more than what they’ve imagined. Because of this closeness, there are times that Yoona can't prevent herself from feeling as if Jonghyun is her boyfriend. He's very natural and calm whenever he's with her. Asking her likes and dislikes, places she wants to go, food she wants to eat and Yoona also receives gifts from him, just like what most boyfriends do. Despite all of this, there are perceptions in her mind which makes her think that she might be burdening Jonghyun too much and also questions on why Jonghyun is giving up so much time just to spend it with her and also, to help with her motive, moving on

"Jonggie, I really want to ask you this but I'm afraid you might not want to answer" she spoke

"just ask freely, okay?" Jonghyun said in a comfortable tone

"why....why are you doing this?" she asked. The question seemed to be incomplete but Jonghyun got her point

"I want to help you" he straightly answered

"I see" Yoona, as well, nodded her head and felt satisfied with the answer she received

"no….” Jonghyun suddenly broke out “That's just one of my reasons"

"what do you mean?" Yoona glanced at Jonghyun with curious face

"I'm not doing this only to help you but, I want to let you know......I want to make you feel that someone cares for you. That I'm concerned about you. I know it's very unusual to hear these words coming from me but I meant everything that I said"

Jonghyun and Yoona stopped walking, right in front of Yoona's house and faced each other

 "I would like to be the one to ease your pain. Maybe becoming your boyfriend, I mean, maybe acting as your boyfriend, I'll be able to see Yoona who starting to live a life without anything that makes her shed lonely and hurtful tears. The Yoona that smiles beautifully in front of people, in front of me"

"Thank you, Jonggie" Yoona said for the nth time. The words “thank you”, there’s no day that Yoona doesn’t miss saying it to Jonghyun

"you don't have to say thank you every time. As long as I know that you're happy with me, it's enough" He gently touched Yoona's soft face with his hand. Jonghyun began to feel that his heart is trembling as he continued to look at Yoona longer. He startlingly puts down his hand with shaking fingers and still managed to smile at her

 "maybe you should get inside now. It's getting cold here, you might get sick"

"thanks for bringing me home, Jonghyun" Yoona gently smiled and bowed at him. She walked to the front door and still left a wave goodbye before entering her house. When Yoona was out of his sight, he breathed heavily and touched his chest

"why am I nervous while I was looking at her? I don't remember encountering this kind of feeling whenever I see her but.......as time goes by, I'm starting to notice that things are changing for me. Most likely……because of her”

p.s I've updated!! it isn't really a long update but at least, I've updated...keke. So, about this chapter, you can clearly see how Sooyoung and Taeyeon are starting to like the fact how Yoona and Jonghyun begins to get along better and most importantly, the new developed friendship of Jonghyun and Yoona. It's kind of odd that Yoona agreed to pretend and secretly date Jonghyun, isn't it? That's how desperate she is. Joke. If you were in her position, you're completely hurt, you've done all the possible ways to get rid of your feelings but nothing works. And what's even worse is, you witness the one you love with someone else almost everyday. Of course, you are left with no choice but to agree. Not really agree with dating another person but giving more attention to another person. I hope you get my point.
