{ FOUR }
“Since when were you guys friends?” Minhee asked with a nudge.
“Yeah, wasn’t he the weird guy begging you on his knees last week?” Baekjoo added with a suspicious grin.
“We’re not friends… We’re acquaintances. Acquaintances can’t say hello?” Joori defended. Her friends were looking at her skeptically.
“You spent time with him on Sunday, didn’t you?” Baekjoo asked.
“Yeah, to go to funeral... It was nothing close to a date, so stop looking at me like that.”
Joori was actually relieved when the professor walked in early. For once, she eagerly shushed her friends and took out her notebook.
History… The thought of her least favorite subject made her remember Chanyeol’s entry. She quietly let out a bitter laugh under her breath.
She thought for a second if she should tell Baekjoo that Chanyeol used to think she was cute, but decided against it. Her friends didn’t know who he was anyway, and they would probably call her creepy for reading his diary.
Baekhyun closed his laptop as his lecture ended. He walked to the library to study for the upcoming exams. He reached for his book but accidentally pulled out Chanyeol’s journal.
He sighed. He had placed it in his bookbag so the rest of guys wouldn’t find it lying around in their shared apartment. He stared at the worn cover of the book. It begged him to open it, just to take a peek.
He groaned. How was he supposed to study now?
Sorry, Yeol. You don’t mind, right? After all, Chanyeol shared everything with him anyway. He would probably find nothing he didn’t already know.
He flipped over the cover and began reading. He smiled fondly as he skimmed through the first chunk of entries.
He remembered how Chanyeol thought Baekjoo was cute. “People would call us Chanbaek and think I’m dating you!” He chuckled at the memory of Chanyeol refusing to approach Baekjoo. Then Chanyeol liked a older girl named Yoonha. But that only lasted a few weeks b
