A Dead Man's Diary{ NINETEEN }
Baekhyun wondered if he had said the wrong answer as they biked in silence. He was once again doing all the pedaling, and he wasn’t going to complain to an already-pissed Joori.
She definitely knew now that he liked her – he knew that. He had basically admitted to her that he liked her when he had said the words ‘I can’t.’
Maybe I should have just said it straight out… Then she wouldn’t be in such a bad mood, and maybe she would have even kissed him.
The thought made his cheeks turn red, and he was thankful she couldn’t see from behind his back.
They finally reached the bike rental, and as Baekhyun placed the bike back by the stands, she walked on ahead to the car. She couldn’t resist and looked back just once. His brown hair shone orange with the setting sun.

He looked at her with blank eyes, surprised with her sudden change of heart. He didn’t know what to say except, ‘It’s alright,’ but it came out more like “I-It’s… um, al-alright…”
He thought she had every right to be upset with him. Her apology kind of made him feel even worse with himself.
“C-Can you grab my wallet for me? I need to pay the parking fee…” He murmured nervously.
She nodded and opened it for him to grab some bills.
Her eyes wandered and he froze suddenly.
“Joori?” He asked, wondering why she wasn’t handing him the money although she had it in her hand. He peered over and gulped. The photo.
She was staring at herself, the photo in Chanyeols’ diary he had taken out… He cu
